As usual, this contest takes place in two parts:
 The Great Challenge phase: Collect horseshoes by completing in-game objectives.
 The Festivities (Treats Battle) phase: Catch UFOs and decide to keep the gift (and lose points), send it to another player (and gain points), or spend Equus for a chance at a different UFO.
Note: there are no divine fragments in the daily objectives during this contest.

Unlock Gifts: As you gather horseshoes, you'll unlock awesome gifts at certain thresholds, like game items, fragments and more.
Special Jackpots: Keep an eye out for the free Jackpot and other bonuses that await.
Community Goals: When you claim a gift, you also contribute to a community goal. Achieving this goal means more UFOs for everyone in the upcoming Battle!

Part 2: The Treats Battle
The Festivities will start right after the Great Challenge ends.
Catch UFOs: During the festivities, your task is to catch UFOs in three daily sessions, with the number of UFOs based on your horseshoe collection.
Make Choices: After catching a UFO, decide to keep the gift (and lose points), send it to another player (and gain points), or spend Equus for a chance at a different UFO.
Bonus Items: Win bonus points by using items earned from horse competitions, friends' help, or your participation in the Great Challenge.
Climb the Ranks: Accumulate points to rise in the rankings, unlocking gifts associated with your rank and those below.

I gave away a big prize to boost my score, and it was enough to put me in the standing for a Phanes' Egg. Sadly, it did not last long and now I'm waiting to go above for anything other than Medusa's Blood. Unless you've prepared to give up everything, it's not worth giving it away. On the very first round, I got a harmony pack, just keeping it alone would have likely left me around the blood, maybe the ray as well, but nothing else. I want the Lottery back next time we do the Great Challenge. It probably will be the lottery, as we seem to swap between the battle and the lottery for the challenge.

I've never got beyond the Medusa's Blood however I play. I give away the small things I already have plenty of and keep the better items or those I use a lot of. That way, I do feel like I'm getting something useful from this game - not one of my favourites though.

To be honest, I keep everything as all of it can benefit me in some way. The lyre, fortune, and companions? Perfect for the objectives where they require an item used from those categories. The cloth, aging points, mash, and equus? Small things that can be used to help with blupping or sold for more equus. Everything else has a bigger use to me. While several of the items do appear useless, there is a way that they can be of use to you, even if it is just selling them for equus or using them to pass an objective.

I really don't like this part of the great challenge, I never did ... so far the best thing I got was f.wand, I constantly get tack, black market items of which I already got dozens of...

I'm happy with the items I got in the challenge.
UFO wise I just catch what ever. Keep some items that I can use, gift some. Not trying to get ranking in the UFO battle cannot remember I've ever gotten past the medusa ranking. Good luck to those of your that try.

Asfridur if you aren't going for the rank then make reasonable trades and keep EVERYTHING. No point in sending stuff away if you aren't trying for the ranks

No matter how many times I play the battle I don't get it

The times for the ufos sort of sucks. Who is awake between midnight and 8am? Most people aren't, depending on their schedules.

I have the same time window as you, and while I'm not awake the entire time of midnight-8am, I do have to get up by 7, so I just catch those UFOs then. Which may not work for those on really late shifts, but I don't think there is a way to set times that will work for everyone.

I want to see how low of a score I can get this time round � lolz same! currently 6208th and dropping  I've kept all the prizes for now, even the ones I don't necessarily care about

I do feel bad for the poor UFOs though... Each time we click on them we end up with bent and broken candy, it's kinda sad
Same goes for the (dreadful) pinata companions, they are still NOT it- a new design might be a good idea

Very happy so far - barely had to do any trades, and I've won so far 4 heels, 3 arrows, 3 dials and 2 hops.
If I get a BM i'm just sticking, as don't want to spend a fortune, but I think I've only had lesser items twice so far.

Im at 6678 and dropping. Best items an hop that i traded for an golden apple, polar bears and arrows.

I'm at 6430 and dropping. Got a HoP and a couple low-end BMIs but mostly store items. I never dump the items for points as it's useless unless you are spending an insane amount of Eqquus to throw away great prizes for a chance at the jackpot. It's just not worth it (unless you really really want the jackpot and have millions of Equus to waste).

My draws are at 7a.m, (driving to work already by then) 3p.m. (don't get home for another hour and then 11 p.m. (already in bed) I get to enjoy 3 UFOs a day. I hope that those UFOs have great prizes.  So get on before going to work to get the 23:00-07:00, while eating breakfast, and assuming you have a smartphone (which is sadly becoming a requirement in our society so it’s a pretty safe assumption) jump on during your lunch break to grab the 07:00-15:00 slot. It’s not like it takes long if you’re just jumping from link to link for the treats. I have a lot of luck with the homepage and event page.

I’ve gotten a harmony pack, 2 fertility wands, 3 heels, 2 dials, and 5 Artemis arrows. I’m not keeping fortunes, lyres, equus, or mash unless the trades get too expensive. At the moment I don’t think I’ve spent more than 5,200 on a trade (maybe once) yet and I’m keeping everything. Definitely super happy so far, the odds seem to be better than the last ufo fight or I’m just getting lucky? Curious also what everyone else’s (who aren’t going for ranks) spending limit is.

As usual, I've gotten jack all from this, mostly tack, age points and Croesus Fortunes. Not even an Arrow.
I've never liked this event. I always seem to have the worst luck with it and I can't be on for all 3 draws so I only get 6 prizes per day anyways.
