The Great Challenge

and Festivities

The Great Challenge is back, and this time it will be followed by the Treats Battle.

How to play?

As usual, this contest takes place in two parts:

The Great Challenge phase: Collect horseshoes by completing in-game objectives.

The Festivities (Treats Battle) phase: Catch UFOs and decide to keep the gift (and lose points), send it to another player (and gain points), or spend Equus for a chance at a different UFO.

Note: there are no divine fragments in the daily objectives during this contest.

Part 1: The Great Challenge

Click to display
Collect Horseshoes: Every day, perform various actions to collect up to 100 horseshoes. 120 if you have bought the Premium Key.

Unlock Gifts: As you gather horseshoes, you'll unlock awesome gifts at certain thresholds, like game items, fragments and more.

Special Jackpots: Keep an eye out for the free Jackpot and other bonuses that await.

Community Goals: When you claim a gift, you also contribute to a community goal. Achieving this goal means more UFOs for everyone in the upcoming Battle!

Premium Key

Click to display
Buy the Premium Key with Passes to access:

Marvelous Premium Gifts: Gain access to exclusive gifts.

Extra Horseshoes: Increase your daily horseshoe limit to 120, helping you to catch up or to get ahead faster.

Buy the Premium Key early for maximum benefit, but remember, it's never too late!

The gifts that have been unlocked but not claimed during the Great Challenge part are automatically given when the Festivities start.

Jackpots

Free - Hermes' Winged

Staff

It allows you to use the Black Market's item of your choice for free, regardless of its value in passes.

Premium - Raven

Companions wake up during your horse's first action of the day. And they fall asleep when your horse ages. Raven gives a bonus of +14 in Trot.

New divine:

Romanticism

Throughout the contest, you can find fragments of the new divine horse Romanticism from the Art History Horses series.

Part 2: The Treats Battle

Click to display
The Festivities will start right after the Great Challenge ends.

Catch UFOs: During the festivities, your task is to catch UFOs in three daily sessions, with the number of UFOs based on your horseshoe collection.

Make Choices: After catching a UFO, decide to keep the gift (and lose points), send it to another player (and gain points), or spend Equus for a chance at a different UFO.

The value of the UFO's content affects the points you win or lose. You can wait to decide but can't catch new UFOs until you choose.

Bonus Items: Win bonus points by using items earned from horse competitions, friends' help, or your participation in the Great Challenge.

Climb the Ranks: Accumulate points to rise in the rankings, unlocking gifts associated with your rank and those below.

Is 540 the max fragments we can get towards the divine from this event please?

At 19 days, or so i am seeing, does that mean this divine is only available during this event, and won't run through two like the mushroom?

The timing works like are regular Great Challenge and Festivities, so once the festivities are over, this divine is gone.

The divine is the prize to the first 5 players in the UFO battle, but I don't recall fragments as prize during that portion at all.

Also, you get 32 fragments in the Crowns for Romanticism, rather than the usual 18

If you unlock the premium rewards, do you get those on top of the regular rewards or in addition?

You get both the top and bottom rewards if you buy the premium key. The rewards are retroactive, so you can wait until later in the Challenge to buy it if you need to

I love the divine but its perk is totally useless to me.if i was buying passes i would get it if i like the perk. dont sell anymore so don’t know what to do with with it. I collect cute coats and barely almost finished wandering horses promo because of boogeyman and bloody mary mostly..

So am I reading this right? This event is also shortened in time? If I'm right, then nope. The shorter event time does nothing but cater to the richer players. I'm tired of this.

I am new to the game. Is the 600 passes really worth it? I would love an honest opinion. Also - how do I donate to ow??

The Great Challenge is always a bit shorter than other events because it's paired with the Festivites. But it's the usual length for the Great Challenge. If you get 100 horseshoea daily you, you'll get all the top prizes. There's a 1 or 2 day grace period

What I recommend doing is going into the black market and adding up the pass amounts to the Key items that do cost passes. Not all of the prizes are offered in the black market for regular purchase, so you'd have to assign your own value to them. I personally don't place much value on the Samurai tack, but others do.

If I were just starting on another server, I'd save my passes for a later divine who could offer me a better return (such as a divine that offers passes, or good black market items). It's down to personal preferencedefault smiley :)

I would spend 600 passes if i was buying passes right just for key I cant spend lots of passes on divine to look at. Maybe when i get more fragments because i collect cute horses. we cant tell you how to play your game. If you can use stuff from premium key…

The raven is cute, but 600 passes is too high for it so I'm skipping. The other prizes are fine enough, this will be very low-stakes for me.

It's been a hot minute since the key has been worth the 600 passes. This round I believe it is, well for me anyways! We get a harmony pack (190p), stone (300p), crown (170p) and the new companion which is a Raven. May or may not love those so yeah, bought the key rather quick default smiley (lol)

This will depend on your assessment. I usually pay the 600 passes when the bonus prize is a Jenny to go with a free prizes of a Zebra, because then I get both a Jenny and the resulting Zonkey, but I probably will not for a just a companion. I don't generally buy anything but divines with passes. The Philosopher's Stone costs 300 passes to buy, but I have 49 of them from (free) prizes in previous events so clearly they are not really valuable to me. I also have several copies of the Samurai tack, so the only things I want are the Raven companion and the Tyche's Crown and, to me, that's not 600 passes. If you want some of the other things, it could be well worth it to your game.
