Im hoping to get the harmony pack

So far I've only gotten a hop. I keep getting those ding dang kitsunes. If I don't get any thing other than that hop, this event officially stinks


For the last time, bring back LONGER event time! This shortened event time stinks, and it does nothing to help those who can't always be online. You've given better prizes, now give us back the time we originally had for these events!

The Great Challenge and Festivities have been this shorter length for the last several years. The UFO battle works well with the shorter length because of the UFO windows. It'd get a bit tiring to have to check back so frequently for the usual event length.

I feel like I am unlucky or doing something wrong... I have only gotten one BM and I have exchanged many of my UFOs

ok i'll start with a positive note, in most events i'm no fan of the shorter time, not so in the battle, the sooner it's over the better and at least howrse are mostly consistent, almost every time events like these run they are the WORST EVER of that event,

would be nice if they didn't keep hiring scrooge to decide the "prizes", got a HOP in the first "treat", a dial soon after but other than that i've spent over 100,000e trying to get something good (anything is better than the kitsunes, APs & western saddle cloths i seem to keep getting pushed at me),

and to try to finish on a positive note, i saved 600 passes on the challenge (i wouldn't call this one great unless i was DRUNK) so i had passes to spend in the horse sales instead to get better horses for my EC...

and i'm not wasting equus asking for bonuses that mean absolutely nothing to me since i was never going to be in the running for anything at the end (already 7034th & plummeting and we're only halfway thru the battle)

This game is lucky I like Dials, because it just gave me 3 in my UFOs lol.

you should set REASONABLE goals to what you find acceptable prizes. if all you find acceptable are the top teir prizes you will spend a fortune trying to get them. and are more likely to get worse prizes. i've spent a total of 5200e in trades and am happy with my prizes. yes i could have gotten better but i could have gotten worse. i will only trade 3 times in a round and this promo only once have i done a 3rd trade.

I only trade on the last prize for the round, this is so I have more trades. I have never got a duplicate in a trading cycle, so most of the time I can get something better within the four trades I do.

My luck's so miserable I don't see the point in trading at all. That way while I can't say I'm overjoyed at my prizes at the very least they were free.

that's why i've set my trade limit at 3/round NOT each UFO. so max i spend is 2600 per round. Only once have i done a 3rd trade. Spent 5200 in trades. I'm pretty happy with my haul so far. it could be better but it could be worse. I've not done any requests for bonuses either so that's saving money.

I don't see the point in trading out items if you have no idea what you can win. Looks like A. Lyre, a fox pet, saddle cloth and A. Arrow, Mash, Equues and C. Fortune is all there is in the pool.

that's why i don't spend much. 2600 max per round of UFOs. and only once this promo have i spent the 1800e. there are only 2 prizes (lyre and fortune) that don't interest me at all. the rest i find useful. just got a fertility wand with no trading.

I keep getting Athena Metals and Kairos Dials, and I don't want them. I'm happy with my three HoPs but come on, gimme something else I can use and not a companion or something I already have a million of collecting dust in my inventory.

To be honest, despite reading all the instructions - I don't understand this part of the event. I keep using the Bonus's to get points and haven't gotten anywhere. I haven't left the final block of prize list... What am I doing wrong?

most people are going to get the bottom prize or no prize. you need to send away BETTER prizes. meaning you will have to trade for a lot of money. or you can trade reasonably and keep everything you get. to get anything above the bottom 2 prizes costs a TON of equus. and you must get every UFO. if you don't get them all and aren't spending a ton on trades you aren't going to get out of the bottom 2 prizes. just keep the prizes you get

When you catch a UFO, you have 3 options:
1) Improve your prize ranking and gain ranking points (you lose the UFO gift).
2) Win the prize and lose ranking points (you keep the UFO gift)
3) trade the UFO gift for another UFO if you don't like the first gift, or the points it offers.

When you use bonuses you gain or lose more points depending on the option above that you picked.
If you chose option 1, to improve your ranking points, then using a bonus adds more points.
If you chose option 2, lose ranking points, then using a bonus takes away less points.

For example, a Harmony Pack is worth 100 points. If I choose give it up, I get 100 points. Using 1 bonus adds an extra 8 points. A 2nd bonus adds 4 more points. A 3rd bonus adds 2 more, and a 4th adds 1 more. If you were to use 2 bonuses you'd get 112 points.

If you chose to keep the Harmony Pack, I lose 100 points. Using a bonus takes away points, so that I lose less points overall when keeping an item. If I were to use 2 bonuses when keeping the Harmony, I only lose 88 points, instead of the 100 without any bonuses.

In summary, you'll generally keep dropping in the ranking if you keep items, unless you're also giving some items up to earn back points.

Lots of useful goodies that will help my horses in their training, blupping and comps, thinks like companions and Kairos dials, and even a wand and Achilles heel

Monkey's happy too. He found my last 2 cookies that were hidden in the back of the cupboard

Still no medal, but keeping my fingers crossed.

Im having loads of luck with Kairo's Dial ( 7 so far )... Stil waitng for HoP

@Hiram Farmer - some of the prizes are worth less than 5200 so I'm not going to be trading, with how these events go for me I'm more likely to get a saddle cloth or mash than I am to get anything from the upper levels. I haven't gotten a single prize higher than a Dial so far, I'd be disappointed if I'd spent any money.

oh well i missed 3 lots of ufos as i was either snoozing at 5am or at work haha. I was really trying to stay for a crown so i think ill just give it a rest now
