The Great Challenge

and Festivities

The Great Challenge is back, and this time it will be followed by the Treats Battle.

How to play?

As usual, this contest takes place in two parts:

The Great Challenge phase: Collect horseshoes by completing in-game objectives.

The Festivities (Treats Battle) phase: Catch UFOs and decide to keep the gift (and lose points), send it to another player (and gain points), or spend Equus for a chance at a different UFO.

Note: there are no divine fragments in the daily objectives during this contest.

Part 1: The Great Challenge

Click to display
Collect Horseshoes: Every day, perform various actions to collect up to 100 horseshoes. 120 if you have bought the Premium Key.

Unlock Gifts: As you gather horseshoes, you'll unlock awesome gifts at certain thresholds, like game items, fragments and more.

Special Jackpots: Keep an eye out for the free Jackpot and other bonuses that await.

Community Goals: When you claim a gift, you also contribute to a community goal. Achieving this goal means more UFOs for everyone in the upcoming Battle!

Premium Key

Click to display
Buy the Premium Key with Passes to access:

Marvelous Premium Gifts: Gain access to exclusive gifts.

Extra Horseshoes: Increase your daily horseshoe limit to 120, helping you to catch up or to get ahead faster.

Buy the Premium Key early for maximum benefit, but remember, it's never too late!

The gifts that have been unlocked but not claimed during the Great Challenge part are automatically given when the Festivities start.

Jackpots

Free - Hermes' Winged

Staff

It allows you to use the Black Market's item of your choice for free, regardless of its value in passes.

Premium - Raven

Companions wake up during your horse's first action of the day. And they fall asleep when your horse ages. Raven gives a bonus of +14 in Trot.

New divine:

Romanticism

Throughout the contest, you can find fragments of the new divine horse Romanticism from the Art History Horses series.

Part 2: The Treats Battle

Click to display
The Festivities will start right after the Great Challenge ends.

Catch UFOs: During the festivities, your task is to catch UFOs in three daily sessions, with the number of UFOs based on your horseshoe collection.

Make Choices: After catching a UFO, decide to keep the gift (and lose points), send it to another player (and gain points), or spend Equus for a chance at a different UFO.

The value of the UFO's content affects the points you win or lose. You can wait to decide but can't catch new UFOs until you choose.

Bonus Items: Win bonus points by using items earned from horse competitions, friends' help, or your participation in the Great Challenge.

Climb the Ranks: Accumulate points to rise in the rankings, unlocking gifts associated with your rank and those below.

Mobile version

The mobile version is available for this contest.

To avoid compatibility issues, we recommend you play on the mobile version (if you want to play on a mobile device).

We wish you good luck in both phases!

@Hiram Farmer - some of the prizes are worth less than 5200 so I'm not going to be trading, with how these events go for me I'm more likely to get a saddle cloth or mash than I am to get anything from the upper levels. I haven't gotten a single prize higher than a Dial so far, I'd be disappointed if I'd spent any money.

To be fair, you shouldn't get any duplicates when you trade. If you were to start with something like the mash, within three or four trades you should get one of the bigger items.

I've definitely gotten duplicates before in previous rounds. Or, I've never gotten the same twice in a row, but I've traded mash, gotten equus, and traded again and got mash. Maybe they changed it since then but I don't trust it anymore. In any case, if I haven't gotten a bigger item in 9 draws I don't think I'm willing to spend all my equus on a long shot. There's some 8 small items to get through so I'd have to do at least 8 trades to get anything higher, *if* it works where you can't get the same item twice.

So far I've gotten 1 hop, 1 medal, 1 harmony pack and 3 heels. I find the higher I keep my ranking, the better the prizes offered.

Yet another round where I just get age points, equus, and a saddle cloth.

Can this event be over already. default smiley (d)

I'll try to look on the bright side; it's free at least, and I'll use it all eventually, I more wish they wouldn't put up the prize lists cause then it's just a tease. "Hey, you COULD have gotten all these great BMI! You won't though. Have fun with your 4th saddle cloth!"

Okay, that's enough for me though, I need to stop looking at the prizes and seeing what everyone else got cause it's just going to bum me out more. 3 more days and it's over and I never have to do it again. default smiley (lol)

for 2600 in trades i got a timer, medal and lyre. if you make REASONABLE trades you will get better. i decided LONG time ago 1800 was a reasonable amount for the trade. the jump to 5400 ain't most likely going to be worth it. and this was only the 2nd time this promo i spent 1800.

I am SO irritated that the list of prizes isn’t available on the app... I spent s total of probably 800ke with my first few UFOs because I had no clue what was available...

I have had good luck for the most part though with some of my prizes - a few HoPs, a Timer, a couple wands, several dials, and several A Arrows. Really wishing I had known in the beginning though so I could have saved my equus... It’s too bad the app is so severely under supported

To be fair this is my first time playing this event. I always see it but could never figure out what it was and didn’t realize it started AFTER the main event which I have often disappeared after... whoops

Sashtato, it's never worth going that much in , coz most likely UFOs will get worse in terms of worth. I know it's frustrating but can view prozes for events on classic version , it's just a few clicks away. That's what I do most of the time default smiley :)

That's not true, though? You still have to actually get those prizes offered to you. Trading alone doesn't give you better prizes, just different ones.

...I know this cause I caved and attempted a trade. Ended up with worse than what I had, which is exactly what I was afraid of. I won't be doing it again, but a lot of it is luck, I don't see there being much you can do to guarantee better gifts.

This may be yet another event where I tap out early honestly. I don't really enjoy the heavy discrepancy between prizes, and I don't like having to pay money for prizes either (if you can only get BMI and stuff by doing trades it's not worth it to me).

I have used every single bonus to get better ranking…I have not traded and I have not kept any item..and I have not missed a single draw…so how am I still in the 500 - 301 slot?

I really want that beautiful raven..how are people getting ahead?

Well people above you probably traded lower items to get up to Harmony packs and HOPs and then traded them to get more points

but if you trade the lower prizes guess what you are most likely going to get something better. you trade the saddle cloth the only thing you can get is higher.

you also need to be reasonable on what you think is good. if all you are willing to keep is like the top row that is really hard to get and you keep trading to only get stuff in the top row and are trading pretty good stuff then you are going to be disappointed when you get lower stuff.

I think their point was that you're still at the mercy of whatever the game gives you. Yes, if you get the blanket, you can only get higher with the next trade, but it's still possible that multiple trades will just keep you going back-and-forth with the bottom tier prizes.

The frustration with this event is that it comes down to luck, and while we can curb that frustration by setting reasonable goals with what we allow ourselves to spend on trades, there is still going to be frustration that one person constantly receives second or first tier items with minimal trades, while someone else constantly receives bottom tier items, even when they do multiple trades.

Having millions of equus to spend on this event is nice, but sometimes even that isn't enough if you're luck is poor, and you can sometimes get fooled into thinking everything will go swimmingly when some players report getting good items, and you're not.

that's why if you set realistic expectations and realize it comes down to luck and or spending a fortune. you can get a good set of stuff usually if you make reasonable trades. a long time ago i set my max trade at 3 a round. yes i could spend more but if i do i may get worse so not worth it. so since i'm realistic i'm not disappointed and i've spent less than 10000e in trades.

Yes, but even with realistic goals, and knowing that luck is just the nature of this event, it's expected to feel some disappointment when you only receive bottom tier items, while others receive top tier items.

People feel how they feel and there's nothing wrong with being disappointed in getting the short end of the stick when it's something they have no control overdefault smiley :)
