Awesome foal lolita well done
|
Hmmm it is like I have seen her parents somewhere before teehee
|
lolita - wow!
jbradin23 - I haven't had much success selling my Friesian crosses. I am hoping that as crosses become more popular and understood that it may change. I like what you've done with your mare. That isn't easy to do!
|
Thanks.
Forest I'm wondering which will make more money...an older cross on the top 10 board, or a younger one with the potential to make the top 10 board? Thoughts on this are appreciated. |
jbradin, unique mare you have. She looks like she will be fun to compete
|
I know people like to see the horses already there (looks pointedly at Vegas), once you do a couple of lessons she will be back up there again or then again you could create another little foal like the recent twins and see where they get you. Their stamina is a bit better than their parents
|
That's kind of what I thought. Vegas should hit the board tomorrow as she's at 217 stamina at the moment. Working on her now. I just hate to age a horse and not enter comps. I like that bit of extra money.
Here's a link for everyone else. Las Vegas Lucky |
o_O 218 and rising!! What a pretty little girl, wonder where she came from and whoever did you get to train her hehe
(note: I didn't train her as it 'sounds' like my sarcasm implies....)

Thanks everyone. I am very excited about it We will see how she does. I like to say she is a crossbreed and proud of it. Everybody you guys are doing so awesome with your crosses. It's very cool to get to know everyone and hopefully our crosses will get the respect they deserve
|
Forest and I are planning to get quite a few of our crosses on the top 10 board at the same time. I think that's a good way to get some respect.
|
it will be very enjoyable.....may need to get some items built up before doing so though >.<
Then again, 2 on TB stamina, a couple in arab gallop and a couple more for TB stamina in the wings is a good way to start off I would say. I'm extremely happy peptobismol graced me with my first TB stud colt!
|
jbradin, most of what I produce are Frie crosses, and they sell pretty well.
Fries can be tough because of their low speed, but the high dressage and trot make them great for crossing as long as there's a Paint or something in there to bump that speed up a bit. I am going to be BLUPping one of my foals tonight (if I have time after work) and seeing if it'll make the boards - many of my older crosses made at least one or two of them during their youth, and one (Doubledown Blue) was there for quite some time. I'd like to do so again. Clematis, congrats on Doppleganer's top spot!
|
Thank you, Cryfenril!
I love my Friesian crosses. They are an interesting challenge, that is for sure! This is my one of my latest crosses, a fun little Chincoteague/Paint. Silver Lightning

This is my pride and joy when it comes to crossbreeds. http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=8883308
I'm always looking for new studs for my mares, studs with unique parentage. It is so difficult, all you can find is the same old Arabian/Irish Hunter/Paint horses. The hardest is to find a horse with good trot and decent skills in everything else. If you find one like that, or if you breed trot crosses, let me know! Oh, and this is an older gelding. I seriously regret gelding him now, he has such a great mix of skills. The good thing is I still own the parents. http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=7952327 |
*Here's my latest mare ... Still need to cloud her :
http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=9133441 *Heres a great mare that I bred and trained, only used 5 clouds so far! Made #8 in jumping elites! : http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=9023294 *And another I have sold, almost there! 997 skills with only a few clouds! : http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=8976265 *The first horse I posted's foal: http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=9797727

What do you guys think would be a good stallion to breed with Shetland/IH If you guys have a good stallion that you think would get stars in every category for the foal, that would be great just PM me ^-^
|
Wow, crossbreeding has really taken off . Eponym, that is my main focus now with my crosses, as I think the ponies are so underated.
I have mainly crosses that present as shetlands and would love to get more that present as quarter ponies. I just need a few days off work now to BLUP the foals I currently have then make some room for more. I have a few on the elite boards at the moment too and love the challenge of blupping my little guys. I'm having so much fun with my crosses that I don't think i'll go back to purebreds again. CrestiesRfun P.S. Keep up the good work everyone.
