so i think that Sir Snip Snap would cross wonderfully with a welsh, thoroughbred, arabain, or even a jumping horse like a hano or aussie pony. let me know your thoughts on this.

My fav cross breeding breeding farm is the Hybrid Eagles....I love their horses! most succussful cross if you want star in everything is Hano and Friesian
|
I heard someone is doing what lolly and I are doing by breeding their crosses with a stallion with a different dominant breed (anglo stud of TB status to an anglo mare of arab status and vice versa). I'm hoping this will drive the stamina of the TB up but we haven't got far enough to know for sure .

4tun8 1, I love the Hano/Friesian crosses. I have a couple right now, one completed and fully clouded. She's awesome. You're right that those two breeds are the only that will give you a 50/50 cross with all stars. Well, with the exception of IH breeders who have access to the higher GPs.

Ive decided to play it safe for now and just breed Paint/IHs. I need to make some nice Dressage and X county horses for my EC.

I couldn't tell you what he would be good in pixiesbite.

I got more headway in my program. *21 Jay 750.6 he has a sister so they will be the beginning of the program. I want to breed them to paints again because I want dressage, speed and galloping in that order for their top three skills. I can't stand horses with neutral skills like that but I'm sure it will inprove in the next generation. 21*Legend of Áine I got her from the privates sale but I bred another female hope they make a nice foials. Think I will breed them with IH. I want dressage as the highest. Mhum the Arab/IH are just sorta random. Anyone having a hard time getting some wins on certain crosses? I'm finding it hard with my Pröúd Øñè 687.08 she use to have the highest GP for Connies but got bumped out and now don't have the skills compared to others. >.< Any advice?

If you go to my EC forum, there is a discussion that shows the skills needed for certain comps. It really helps me train horses.

Ok guys I am super super excited. I just bought a 764gp pure Thoroughbred mare named GoldenGlimmer here is her link
http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=9785686 and am breeding her to my pure Marwari stallion with 507gp Wrongly Accused. I think it's going to turn out awesome foals. The last time I did this combination is J'sBlueRibbon my elite Marwari *6th overall, 2nd in speed and 3rd in Gallop* |

IH X TB
ST X PH. IH- Irish Hunter ST- Standardbred TB- Thoroughbred PH- Paint Horse. I have 3 young IH X TB's and they're all TB. One is a 22* that I bought from an old friend, and the other two are twin brother and sister from my best IH mare Twinkle Toes. They're all in my other horses tab, proudly wearing their high GP's, skills and stars. |

I used to have an account on here before it got deleted and i used do breed cronnies and arabs and also tbs. so when I went to breed my hano I accidently bred her with a tb haha
and ive tried selling him but nobody wants him :O -fail |
BeckyL, I just now produced a Frie/Hunter filly that impresses me.
Here she is She lost a bit in trot, obviously, but gained in speed and dressage. I'll sell this one, as I did not use Tears (she is kind of an experiment) but the next time I breed one from Myrcella I will use a Hera Pack and get some lovely Frie goodness out of her.
|
Frie/Hano crosses are great for getting six-skillers, but neither breed is a super-GP line so it's difficult to get high numbers out of them.
For a similar effect with higher GP, you can produce the following crosses: Mare: Arab/Frie (~50/50) Stud: Paint/Hunter (~50/50) Mare: Standard/Hunter (~75/25) Stud: Paint/Frie (~25/75) Then take each pair, cross them over, and then cross the two Frie crosses back again. Once you do that, you should have a decent GP with stars in all six skills in a Friesian (unless your cross percentage was too high).
