The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

So if I remember right, the announcement was that 350 GP was over and they were implementing it the next day or something with the GP starting at like 1500 i want to say for all new incoming players as well as those with divines that gifted them. From there, since the genetic potential of a horse is always rising, then so are the foundations that are released as well. The only ones that are not affected of the "in between" GP are those that came out as a RG release first - drafts, ponies, French Trotters, etc. These all started at a certain GP because they were a game release and weren't in existence when the OG 350s were. RG (to me at least) is anything that is not 350 GP for horses/ponies/drafts. RG can range anywhere from 352 up and won't stop default smiley :)

Now that being said, let's say for RG breeding, I am taking my event release FT's and will breed their offspring with the RG that is in their generation as well. So let's say their third generation is 5000. I would take any RG 5000-5100 foundations and breed weave them in that way. You could also breed all of your OGs together to get the "master" OG, and breed that OG with your lowest/first RG to connect them as well.

October 22nd 2015 was the date and year the old GP’s were taken down.
I was very VERY angry for a long time. Came within inces of rage-quitting more than once.

Used to be a die hard old GP NIB’er. I still breed from old GP stock. And love my old GP’s with a passion.
Getting 20 wins is impossible without the help of lower GP’s filling all the vacant spots in comps. Something I find really sad and depressing.
Also breed some RG’s.

All the RG’s I’ve gotten since that date are all carrying this affix

The old GP’s hold a lot of fond old memories. From when the game was like living on another planet, compared to now.
But once the comps were changed twice, and the RG’s hit the game, it was pretty much game over for the old GP’s.
Those of us who still hang on to them, are too stubborn for our own good really default smiley ^)

But there IS nothing wrong with being different, so I’m hanging on to my pixel babies.

On a sidenote I had hoped to grab many of the new breed…. the matador, but much to my astonishment not many were up for sale. Not even for passes.

Question, in regards to Qilin he has low GP, but would be RG, correct?

If there are multiple Qilin in the ancestry would they still be considered NIB if they are definitively different ones?

I'm not suggesting using one, I'm just more so curious

I think Qilin is viewed much the same as most other divines that can produce offspring. Like the pastry horses. If you have different sets of the parents, then I'd say its fine, but it can get hard to keep track of if you start having a lot of the same name even if its a diffent id on the horse.

I have to agree, which is why I didn't bother keeping the one I got. If I can't pronounce it, i don't want to try to raise them. XD

The first RGs were 356.00 GP and they rocketed up from there. And the change was done on the sly. They didn't announce it. It just... happened. They'd been told by testers that it was a bad idea and did it anyway.

I can't forgive them for it. All the fighting we did to get them to stop the change before felt useless. We did get it stopped, but then they backtracked and did it thinking we wouldn't notice.

The comp changes making it impossible to get wins on old foundies just riles me. I think I've managed to BLUP one Peruvian uni in the past year. One!

I enjoy the Finns (more for the breed than anything else) but they do feel easy in comparison to everything I ever did in the past!

Been wanting to do some mangalarga marchadors, but wow they're going for ridiculous prices... been in some bidding wars and they went outside of how much I was comfortable paying. Only able to get one so far

Do we have anyone working with Shetlands for NIB?

I think Comatose used to breed them.

But currently I don't think anybody are working those..

Anyone?

... Manga... long name pixel things default smiley ^)... I now have 20. RG's should be enough for yet another project.

Ah, that's a shame. I picked up a couple Shetland foundies, but don't really need more projects lol so I thought I might pass them along to someone who did want to work on them. I'll just hang on to them for now.

Hey how do I make equus again???
@keiracovid19

This is not the place for this. This is for non inbred breeding.

I would say read the breeders manual and if you have further questions take it to the gameplay forum, they're very helpful over there.

Asfridur and SilverLotusLamer, and anyone else who's interested,

I managed to pick up 8 pairs of the marchadors. As I work them up, I'd be happy to offer covers to you. Maybe we could join forces and become a team of sorts to raise and breed this new breed. Feel free to pm me anytime. default smiley ;)
