Personally I really like nearly all the new coats. Some of our current ones were just extremely awkward, like the mustang or the paint horse types. These ones are more realistic, and while they do have some issues, they're anatomically better than the current, while retaining the nice, painted style howrse is known for. The rest is just a matter of getting used to the changes. default smiley 8-)

They look fabulous. default smiley (l) I'm actually considering taking up mustang breeding. default smiley (7)
I just wish the manes on some breeds were a bit more noticeable. On the black and chestnut mustangs they look like they have no mane at all.

Yeah, I feel like a slightly shaggier mane wouldn't hurt. Maybe a wisp of it that falls over the withers on the side we can see or something.

I agree. They look considerably better but a mane would make them ideal.

Yes, even just a bit would help them. Some just look a bit bald. Either way, they are a big improvement over the old coats for me,

With players who say that Frisians aren't that black on the new version.
Not all Frisains are black in real life, Frisians come in three colours, Black, Grey, Chesnut.
It's just that Grey and Chestnut ,for some reason, aren't called proper Frisains when they were the first colours that Frisains were.default smiley ;)

Howrse only uses the colors that are allowed to be registered. As the grays and chestnuts cannot they will not be coming to the game.

Yes, I find it a bit funny how the breeds which typically have longer manes are the ones which look a bit bald.
I've liked how howrse have actually took notice of what players have suggested could improve the coats and acted on some of the improvements.

I just love the changes Howrse is making. I'm very happy they are looking at what we are saying and then editing the coats before they release it. default smiley 8-)

The friesians that you talk about are not purebred friesians. The only reason a friesian would be any color other than black *and* that is registered is if the sun made its color lighter. The pretty grey, white, and chestnut friesians are *not* registered as friesians. If you would like to read more our mod ardlamont has a forum topic on it.
I'm extremely happy to see that Howrse has listened! The GV and Mustang improvements are much better. default smiley (y)

Personally, I'd like to see the Mustangs and Barb/Lusi/Paso/PSH coats with mane added...but I don't see that happening. default smiley (8)

Suggestion if I may. Make it more black, not greyish.
Show us the magnificent broad neck with all the massive muscle tones, and give it a loooong mane, like the one on the picture. Also a thicker tail + feathers please default smiley (l)
Perhaps the neck on the PSH can be used as reference ?

I agree! I wish the new friesian had more feathering. A friesian to me has the beautiful feathering and long mane! default smiley *-)

Actually, Fox Friesians (chestnut Friesians) can be purebred. It all comes down to colour genetics. Here's a helpful link that explains it better than I could: http://www.usfriesianreferral.com/chestnut.html
According to this page, chestnut foals born from registered Friesian parents can be registered in the foal book and can produce registered offspring, so it's entirely possible that chestnut Friesians could be added to Howrse at some point.

I'd personally love to see Fox Friesians come to Howrse, seeing as sites like Horseisle already include them. I mean, who wouldn't love this guy?

Thank you Howrse the new improved Gypsy Vanners are great. The addition of the extra manes, tail and feathers are perfect, that is exactly how they should look.

Me. He just looks like he is covered in dust default smiley :).

"Chestnut friesians CAN be registered, they jut remain in the foalbook." The foalbook is the basic registry (so that they are recognized as friesians and not some other breed) but the studbook is where fully registered friesians go.
