The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

ATTENTION ALL NIBers:

1) Need new home for TESF Stallions. After 13 years I am drastically downsizing my game and need a new home for the TESF stallions that have been used for foundation breeding by various NIBers.

New home must be with established NIBer who can promise never to let them become "disappeared". In other words will do everything possible to make sure that their account is not deleted while the TESF stallions are in their care. I made that commitment to those breeders when I first established TESF back around 2010.

2) Foundations need new home. For the same reason I need to find new homes for the many OG (most breeds with OG) and RG (some breeds with RG) foundations in my care. Some are fully BULPed while others are either in training or are foals.

Please contact me if you can help out with any of the above. Thank you, Yankee Lady

Does anyone have any fillers for an original (less than 352 GP) foundy Friesian? I'm trying to blup my metal Fries stallion Primus (can be found in my Others farm).

I'm willing to pay back the favor with my original foundies or other horses to support your horse.

Please pm me if you can help.

Thanks! default smiley :d

TESF stallions have found new homes.

The Appy TESF stallions are with Storms Ransome.

The rest of the TESF stallions will eventually all be with tigrelily.

So if you want any breedings from these wonderful OG 351.0 stallions please contact these people. It will take time for all the stallions to be transferred.

A HUGE thanks to these two NIBers who were willing to step forward to give these great stallions new and safe homes.

Thank you for letting me have the Appies. I didn't want to risk losing my original line. So for those of you who have used the Appies, they are safe.

What's the best way for a new player to get involved in the NIB? I'm very much interested in finding and breeding non inbred stock in my current four breeds of interest: Friesian, Selle Francais, Russian Don, and Gypsy Vanner.

Thank you default smiley :)

The best way for a new player to get involved is start by finding breeding stock, so looking for parents with Gaia and Ouranos (Which I know you know) and start networking and making friends with all of us. All of us NIBers, especially us older ones, like to work at helping those who are just starting out. I know when I first started I had a lot of help from a lot of NIBers who are not around quite like they used to be. I think f l i c k e r can send you the link to our discord if you want to join that and we use it to help "fill" for those who are trying to get their Foundation horses to 100 BLUP as well as talk.

I used to do my own NIB breeding for fun a few years back, and I've been looking into getting back into it. But I can't find any good foundation stock, and it's so hard to find any NIB horses to continue to breed with.

Yeah that's the problem I'm running into. I find foundation horses, but not for the main breeds I'm after. But I'll just keep the others I find, can always offer them for covers to help others along the way.
