The old Mustangs look like they have an irregular growth on their hindquarters. The new Mustangs are more accurate, and more beautiful I might add, a tribute to real Mustangs.

I agree. I wish people would stop criticizing them, because they look so much more like real mustangs. I love themdefault smiley (y)

But they look like they have a tumor!!

To everyone who asks why all of the breeds are changing:

Since Howrse wan't to make visible tack possible, they have to change the coats so that they work with the new feature.

Also, to all those who are "despising" the new coats, you try drawing a horse and getting every single proportion exactly right. If you just say "I hate the new coats, change it now!" that won't help anything. Constructive criticism helps, not screaming and yelling that someone's hard work is horrible.

Well said. I absolutely love the new coats! I'm just sad I don't have enough equs to breed EVERY breed because I love the coats! Especially Knabbys!

The mustangs are so much better! Now I am not considering selling them all off!

The only improvement I would add to them is the eye... not the bone above it but the positioning of it itself. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's a little too high positioned? Just a minor observation, I personally think they look fine now.

If you are referring to the bulge beneath the eye, that is a cheekbone. Real horses have those toodefault smiley :)

It looks bay. But it's a foal, so it;s color will probably change.

I don't see anything resembling a tumor. The neck might appear larger but at least the body is more proportionate. The current Mustangs are set at an unnatural position and the hindquarter is too small for the rest of the body. The awkward angle of the front legs always bothered me. And Mustang I ever had was GA coated.
I just realized, that all of the new coats have shadows that make sense! The others have small shadows right next to their feet, not under there belly, where it should be. Haha! I'm a little disappointed in myself for just noticing that the old coats had such weird shadows! default smiley (8)

What I have to say about the new mustangs...

mustangs
new

old
The new ones are really dull but the old ones were a bit unusual. The perspective for the old one is terrible. The front is angling towards us while the rear end is at a profile position.
In my opinion the body is to short and the legs are to long for the old one. The new one however are a little bit of an improvement its face is a bit strange with with nearly terrible details. and its hindquarters seem to small so mustangs get a 6/10.
