I'm not satisfied with the new Friesian coat at all! What happened to my beautiful steeds? They were majestic. The perfect example of this elegant breed! Now, they look nothing like what they are supposed to be. Their coats are dull, mane and tails look like they have be hacked off. The feathers are gone! These horses are known for their feathering! And now the Friesians have none! If anything, they look like a horrible version of a Friesian sport horse. I'm so disappointed in this change. I hear the Gypsy Vanner is just as bad. Please bring back the previous coats! I can't believe that these breeds, and many more are being portrayed with such horrible disrespect. I'm an amateur artists and I can make a better representation than this...and that's saying something!

Even though that is only your opinion, there is no need to get upset. The artists worked hard on these, so its not very nice.default smiley ;)

I tried fixing the Friesan, I think it looks better. (I'm just a hobby artist and not very good at drawing horses, they can be a pain default smiley xd )

If Howrse fix it like I did, I wont complain about the friesian and would enjoy owning them.
My 'feathering' sucks lol

I think your revised image looks so much better, only tiny differences but it makes such a difference.

I must say, I don't like the new Friesians. Their mane is wrong and they don't have socks. They don't look as elegant as a Friesian should. The other new coats are looking good though!

Oh and by the way, its a quarter horse coat I posted above.
Changes:
Fatter belly
Lusher tail
(Sort of unnoticeable) Longer mane
By Retired breeder, 7th April 2014 17:18:21
Oh and I made the neck thicker.

I honestly think the original looks better, the revised on looks really way more off to me.

Thanks for your opinion!
while everyone is ranting on the new images and claiming that their opinion of the breed is better than some other artists...and yes, realize that these were drawn by an artist...and that horses in *your* area or that you have see might *not* actually be very good examples of the breed...the simple fact here is, these are pixels

i'm more concerned with the fact that some of the breeds are shown in poses or lines that look *nothing* like what the standard describes, let alone real horses

i'm still waiting for a decent morgan drawing...both versions have been horrid for the true breed...the only type the current one fits is the minority show type that is more like a standardbred...nothing like the WWF or Lippitt type...and nothing baroque at all...which they should be...

NMhorselover --So true...
nope...i'm not constantly crying and whining about the new images...i'm waiting for a decent one of *one* breed, which has had 2 versions so far, neither of which fit the standard of the breed

most of the changes have made the breeds look like their standard...fad breeders in some areas have distorted breeds so that many people have no clue that what they see is not true to standard

and, i see *nowhere* that i have posted my own drawings...so before you accuse on yoru high horse...look around at how many posts i've made vs how many others have made and how many drawings i've posted vs how many others have posted

I am in no 'high horse' as you call it. But you are here all the same sharing your opinion on what a breed should look like saying the the images are rubbish ect. Which Is what you appeared to have accused some other players of doing .

Furthermore I see nothing wrong with players posting their revised versions of some coats. It really is no hurting anything nor anyone.

The freisian neck bugs me. It tapers off too sharply I think, It could be a little thicker and more arched and then it'd look okay.

Other than that my big gripe is the fact that none of the cremelos have blue eyes. None of them. :/ It looks weird. Howrse, will you please revise those? pretty please?

Other than that, I'm really looking forward to the changes.

Friesians in real life don't have socks, they don't have any white markings really, except perhaps a minor white star on the forehead in rare cases.
My poor Friesians. They look like a QH to me. They don't even look like my beloved Friesians anymore. -Sighs-

She said socks, but I think she's actually talking about the feathering.
