Oh yes the mini games, I never tried them on iPad or my phone, but on my stationary PC with a mouse there is good enough for me to shoot a monster between the eyes from several kilometres away with a sniper rifle.
I can't braid a horses tail or clean it's hooves fast enough.default smiley :@

It usually takes me 4 to 5 tries before I get that passed, it was quicker to use the Wheat bran trick to bring down the price of the pass.

seems like I'll really regret the millions of equus I spent on 10+ year old horses on Au after this change. :l

If anyone can answer, or post a link to a clear post which sums everything up, that would be greatly appreciated.

Umm, I have. It's just as hard, and the iPad or phone, whichever device you use, will freeze up, and things just go down hill. It's easier to click on things, but harder to get a pass because my devices just freeze up.

they do significantly lower the potential income for many players. Lowering income can be seen as "taking away" or not, but the point I meant to get across remains the same.

I never called it a right, or a privilege. I don't think anyone here has.

If they are looking for "suggestions" (and I disagree that company owners need to be handled with kid gloves and coddled into the right decision—I think a decline in income says all it needs to) the suggestion being offered by many is to leave the system—which very few, if any, consumers complained about—how it is. Making "revisions" that anger and upset your consumers is not how a good company makes money. It is a great way to lose money and customers. They must balance between pleasing consumers and doing what is financially beneficial. That is how an online game, which relies on continuous input from players, must function to be successful.

Howrse if you even care, you will see your decision to do this is complete horse turd.

You still have time to redeem yourselves to us very loyal customers and NOT enact this change on your biggest server.

This is exactly what I am seeing being posted. Experienced players had put forth the argument that newer players feel they should just be given the next shiny or win promos, just because and this is the very thinking I see now from the experienced players about themselves.

I learned in my lifetime that the silver spoon is not a right but a privilege and even working our rears off will not guarantee us that privilege or any part of it.

Basically, the current pass horse system is going to be replaced with the loyal player's pass meter. The minimum time to fill the meter will be three days, giving a maximum of ten passes a month except February. The number of possible free passes a month will be reduced to ten.
In order to get a pass, you have to play one of the mini-games when the meter is filled. The mini-games only work on some devices though. Pass horses won't do anything anymore as far as we know for sure, but there will potentially be a new divine that will make use of horses aged 25+.
We don't know 100% when the changes will come out.

I remember at first when the loyal player's pass meter came out I thought it would be easier than buying a million equus worth of fodder, but it's actually worse! Doing that once every 3 days (unless the randomness of the meter gives you less points a day) is going to drive players mad!

Most of us go for the standard 10 passes per month by sending 10 pass horses to heaven.

If we took the time to calculate this out doing 1 pass for every 3 days actually gets you 1 more pass per year.

12 months (10 x 12) ==120 passes in total
1 every 3 days is (365 divided by 3) ==121 ( with a couple days in hand).

I never do the 30 horses per month as it is in the end too expensive for me so a 1 every 3 days actually gets you more in the long run.default smiley :)

Do you log in absolutely every day? You can do the 10 pass current system from just taking care of the horses you are aging up, and don't have to be on more than that (no need to rotate meadows, do comps, BLUP, use forums, buy or sell horses). You also don't lose anything by missing a day or two each week. That's a big part of why I choose Howrse over other games. I'll do the other things when I want to, and skip them when I need to, no stress.

The new system would ruin that. If you don't do everything, or miss a day or two per week, you lose over a dozen passes a year.

If you were someone ambitious who raised enough pass horses for thirty passes a month, you lose over two hundred passes per year(OUCH!) with the change. And your pass farm likely has fifty or more horses at every 5-year interval from 0 to 30, (300+ horses) with a total value over 22 million equus invested in horses that you've cared for daily. It takes SIX MONTHS of daily care to raise a pass horse.

Me? I'm not that person. But I have been building up my pass farm since early summer, and invested almost every spare bit of equus I get into buying horses 10+ years old to raise for passes. And if the change happens, I have 65 horses on my game that become junk. I dabble in blupping and comp horses, but the focus of my game is raising passes to buy luck items and the latest so-called Shiny Sparklehorsedefault smiley (lol). Logging in to care for them is the lure that brings me in to an hour or more of gameplay. I don't care about a "most dead horses" ranking, or a divine that gives me a HOP, shelled walnut, or some similarly pre-defined 'gift' per old horse in mockery of six months of loyalty. I'm so tied in by my pass horses, I've stayed years with the same site- started in 2010, made it over 700 seniority before life got too busy and changes made playing too strange, now I'm here again on my way past 400 days. Now they're looking to cut that tie.

Fix up the EC boarder register, or the competition results page. Make them searchable and neater, and able to show the past few days instead of the past 25 happenings. Let EC owners have an option to sort boxes by skill of the boarder. There are other improvements that could be done, if Ubisoft wants progress for progress sake.

For anyone who's interested, here are some links about Owlient, Howrse, and Ubisoft. Oh look, we've made money for them regularly since they bought Owlient. Ubisoft Financial Reports and random Howrse info. Leave us in peace and we'll keep doing it.

That was not directed at any specific player but what I see more as a general observation.
