[quote=1402515984][author]Retired breeder[/author]Why not just Bold all 6 skills? It is what my team does, and we were doing pretty well in the rankings before everyone got busy with the holidays and such.

Honestly, whats a few MORE skill points going to hurt?[/quote:0]
Many people use fillers as a way to get the 20 wins on 20 tries. If you have high skills it's more difficult to find appropriate fillers. Also the new rides makes it more difficult to adjust the skills to what competition you want to compete in unless you age the horse from 1yr 6 months to 2yrs without training default smiley :p Just my opinion on it ^^

Also can somebody clarify. How long does the rides take comparing to now? Like how much energy in total does it take to complete long Trot/Galopp/Steep slope rides today, and how much energy does it take in total for the mountain/forrest rides? (both when the horse has an advantage of being in a certain place and not)?

I don't know the exact amount now, but I did do some test blups on preprod.

Current rides, I can get a TB bolded with wins by 7 yrs and 4 months.
"New Rides" it took me until 9 yrs and 2 months to bold the top three skills only, with enough comps for skills and wins.

Both used the same "Quick Blup" schedule, same conditions, shower stall, mashes, etc. That's nearly 2 yrs longer with these new "rides" than with what we have currently. Rookie blups are going to be brutal. default smiley (d)

To the person asking why we don't just bold 6 skills...
First of all, it makes winning comps much harder since you can't use the low skills as as much of an advantage.
Second, for people who are constantly working on high Gp to get highest GP horses in sales, you have to BLUP *fast*, and I usually BLUP in around half an hour, give or take, (since I don't have auto feed anymore) and it would take so much longer when all that matters is the BLUP.

Can we get collecting cards or pinata back ?? Or the Christmas calender thing where every day you moved a space closer to the divine ?? That was heaps of fun !!
Agreed. ^^

Teams, and those breeding competitively, need to get blups moved from member to member, and they're often waiting for the next blup. That means blups need to MOVE. Most of my teams have members that can get a blup done (with mates helping fill comps for quick wins) in 15-20 minutes, or less if we're 70 blupping. 25 minutes if you're breeding the mare or helping fill for your own blup.

I only train or bold additional skills if no one is waiting for the next horse, or if I'm working on my own (no one else in that team is around).

I posted some information about that back on p715 I think.

I agree that it will take longer, but then again, everyone should be in the same boat. Everyone will be slowed down as far as I can tell and no one should have an advantage or disadvantage that they didn't have before (when breeding the same breed I mean).
I could be missing something of course... Perhaps once the rides change in the real game we can all get a better idea of how the rides will affect the game.

no if anything they're now more valuable. default smiley ;)

Quite the opposite, i think it's probably to encourage use of timers as most blups just have arms (when they are breeding for GP and not comping)

Most test blups have been done wiith no BM items or just arms depending on the players AP supply as sadly endless AP's isn't a prepod perk...it would be good though hint hint for the future default smiley ;)

That option was not offered on preprod as far as I could see.

Where did you see that Rynx?

A post by Ow on preprod seems to suggest this:

Click to display
for mountain rides
Stamina
Speed
Trot

For forest rides
Jumping
Galop
Dressage

This hasn't been officially confirmed though, so take with a grain of salt default smiley xd

Lessons are not going as far as I can tell - the name seems like it's going to change. Horses still earn skills equal to the quality of the lessons.
