Thoroughbred foals changed today and they're super cute! The Thoroughbreds are a lot closer to what they look like in real life

I am sad about the old brumby coats going but the new ones are good. They look much more like real brumbies.

The Gypsy Foals look better then the adults

When is the tack coming? Meaning.. When are you going to see the tack on your horse?

What do the new standard bred horse coats look like?

I find it weird that people are complaining about the new Fjord coats, and how the older ones looked more realistic.

They hardly changed ....

They just made the horse more muscular. I work with Fjord horses in real life. They don't have thin legs like the old coats, trust me, the new ones are more "realistic" than anything...

To anybody that doesn't like the new coats...

You can keep your opinion, I'm not asking you to change, but aren't they an improvement from when we had these. These aren't bad graphics either, but they have obviously gotten more realistic.

I truly think the only issues that I have with the coats are as follows;


cremellos lack blue eyes

the conformation on a lot are odd, like the paints/QH/appaloosa's front legs

Gypsy Vanners are missing the big amount of feathers that the breed is most known for

small manes, and some are missing manes/forelocks



But good improvements are;

strawberry roans actually look like red roans now

mustangs look like true mustangs

the shading is more realistic, they don't look flat

will donkeys change too?

I hate the new Mustang coats! I so hope they put a mane on them. And make the neck thinner. It's so thick right now! It doesn't even look like a real horse!

The Tennessee walker looks more like a Standeredbred to me.

And I truly hate the new Arabian. The front half of it's body is so large compared to the rest...

I real life mustangs necks are big and muscly. Most don't have manes anyway because they rub at them so they look more realistic then they use to anyway

If any of the coats need fixing up right now it's the donkeys. They haven't changed since V1. Com'on howrse...

How do they look dead? I think that the old ones looked plastic. The new ones are really adorable in my opinion. I think they should change the donkey... Hasn't been changed since Version 1.

I really agree with this. I've never really liked the way donkeys look... they're just so... derpy.
I love all the new coats so far, and it would be nice of donkeys got some attention, too.

I'm not overly fond of the new Vanner coats... Wish they had more of the pretty feathering on their legs... Ah, well... The rest of the coats are pretty awesome, though. Especially Knabstruppers, Paints, and KWPNs (and ones that look like them). The previous coats were so... bleh. But the new ones are just lovely. I've held off on getting Knabs because of how they looked, but I may just have to get a few now.

I think the Howrse team is doing some good work. Sure, some of the changes they've made aren't all that great, but it looks to me like they worked hard on these new coats, and I think they made some great improvements.
