The gemstones I've wanted for a long time are Onyx, Opal, and Sapphire, but I'm uncertain whether I want to spend money on fleeces.. I've never had good luck with them. I tried once with my 20 diamonds and just got a Hera Pack.

I'm dying to get my hands on Onyx and Sapphire too.
I never have luck with these things either so I'm not even going to attempt to get them unless they're available directly in the reserved sales.

I don't remember who it was, but someone speculated that they did so because, well, if you won him in the lottery and weren't an Aquarius, you would end up with a useless Divine when you could have gotten a useful BMI. With the frankly pitiful perks the Zodiacs have even for the bearer of that Zodiac sign, Howrse should have given additional perks (like Aquarius' and Gemini's - and I say those two and not Taurus because Taurus has a terrible drop rate) to all of them.

why should I bother getting Cancer and spending the extra passes because she's breed-able if Leo is going to give me nothing? There's no point, the only thing he'll do is count for a divine trophy I won't even bother to finish. The same goes with people who are Leo, and must win a worthless divine to obtain a slightly less worthless one. I feel like I could get the same prize ( one 5th element) from other promos or even opening a Titan's Challenge (that I can get through trades or promos) throughout the year without spending passes. Howrse themselves only prices the 5th element at what, 2 passes? Essentially, if it costs you 35 passes to get her, you are paying 33 passes to say you have 2 divines, one who won't give you anything. And since it's once a year you get a gift worth 2 passes, it will take you over a decade to break even on passes (assuming you spend the 35 passes) It just doesn't make sense and it is very frustrating default smiley :s Anyways, end rant. I'm sure some lucky player will win her with one HOP and then it'll be worth it default smiley (8)

As stated many many times, we never know when divines will be in any luck items or the reserved salesdefault smiley (y)
I was actually surprised to see a Gemstone since they released a Wild the other weekend, but Howrse must have realized how much players liked both. I wish they were just in promos or reserved sales instead of luck items though.

Reserved sales plssssss- I'll have limited funds over the summer and I'd really rather not blow them all on wasted luck items...

Reserved sales are so much simpler, and people will still buy passes for that! Just wish Howrse would realize that we're not money machines and would give us a bit of a break now and again...

It's a bunch of objectives that if you complete you get prizes (at the end of the challenge, I believe). After a Great Challenge, usually a lottery ensures.

I feel the same...

Cause the wilds are limited in how many diamonds they give, so they can sell them for say 10 passes and still make a profit. However the gemstones will give diamonds forever (and some of them give a lot of them) so instead of selling them for 20 passes which they might earn in a year, they'll put them in luck items where one might waste 100 passes to get one.

Yeah, a player on my server had to spend 100 passes. I have opened 25 fleeces, no horse. And I know several who have spent as much as I have and not gotten a horse. Ridiculous.. The point for many is to collect these horses and will have to try until they get lucky. 100 passes cost ridiculous amounts of money to purchase...

I've spent 62 as of now and nothing... Luck item or not, such ridiculously high pass amounts per Divine just shouldn't happen ever. Period.

Yeah...it shouldn't go past 20-25...that's the highest you'll pay for a Divine in reserved sales....
