Oh, that was you? I remember checking that out and signing up, but she didn't have any more and it was very difficult for me to figure out the site because of the language barrier. I tried to find out again later to see if she had any more and had no luck. I kinda gave up because i had a lot of trouble trying to figure out what was what.

Yaay schleichs! Hmm, where to start? Well, I have over 75+ schleichs.
Does anyone else love making schleich tack? I particularly enjoy crocheting saddle blankets.

How do you even make the tack?
I love the ponys!

Sorry, I've been looking and I can't seem to find anything either. As for how do you make tack, there are SO MANY tutorial videos on how and just watching them can give you great ideas. You could knit or sew saddle pads and blankets, you can make bridles and halters out of string or ribbon and saddles you can use bits of leather or leather-looking cloth (this is what I did) and just hot glue it to aluminum foil cut in the shape of a saddle. There are lots of possibilities!
Hi! I am in love with Schleich horses! I have 30+ of these models. I really like how they have so many breeds and coat colors and stances galore! default smiley (l)default smiley (l)

Gosh I have so much to catch up on after a month away default smiley (lol)

I got very excited in one city, found a toy shop (hobby shop more like), and they had a Schleich stand. Travel to the other side of the world and I'm still searching out modelsdefault smiley (lol). They had a sign saying 10% off all Schleich and CollectA models. So now I'm dragging my mum round this store trying to find CollectA, to find out the sign lied default smiley :( Oh well, would have been difficult to get them home anyway!

I used to make blankets for my models out of scraps of fabric. I have a few tea towels my mum was going to throw out, so they're my project for this year!

Well, i picked up a couple of new ones the other day unexpectedly. It was a gorgeous, mild winter day, so we took advantage of it and went for a road trip. Stopped at some stores, and found these guys.

I went into a store and happened upon their last one of the Breyer Holiday horse, Snowbird! And since it was after the new year, it was discounted. Couldn't leave it behind, as i had already basically given up on getting that one. Money was tight through the holidays, and i thought i had time to get him, because last year my local store had several of the holiday Breyers, including the holiday horse, left over for a good long time after the holidays, so i was able to get them at discounted prices. This year, they again have leftover holiday Breyers, but the holiday horse itself sold out a while before Christmas. I do not know why! So naturally i was surprised to find him, and happy to bring him homedefault smiley :)

The other one is a Schleich...and its one i had put off getting for years, because i'm not too fond of these creatures lol. I respect what they do in nature, but i'm creeped out looking at them or having them near me...however, i knew i would have to eventually get it. I thought i might wait until i hear it is retiring, which i have not heard yet, but it was the only Schleich model they had that i didn't have, so i took a deep breath and bit the bullet, so to speak!

Its the Schleich Tarantula!

Until next time, happy model hunting!default smiley ^)

That Breyer is gorgeous! You can keep the spider though default smiley xd

Has anyone else seen the special/limited edition Silver horse? I wasn't risking another Black Friday unicorn issue so I've ordered her, along with some other specials and some of the 2023 models.

I've also noticed some of the specials have disappeared from the UK website, which I am disappointed about, because I really wanted that Pura Raza stallion. I was hoping to order him when I got back from my hols, but he's gone default smiley :'( (Along with the Saddlebreds and a couple of others)

looking at the us site it seems liike she is already sold out there. she definitly was on there at one point as i looked at the american listing to see how limited she was. for example the pink unicorn is limited to 1750 worldwide as the us site stated while european sites did not state any number.

but anyways here they seem to remove web specials that arent coming back in stock so im guessing thats what happened on the us site

Good thinking! I did a bit further digging, firstly I am extremely jealous the pink and black Unicorn is still available (!!), but it seems the silver horse is coming soon.

I am having great fun looking at the US site to see what's available there default smiley xd

Woo! Did you order anything else with her? She's been removed from the UK site already, so glad I ordered her when I did. She arrived today with some box mates: the special Hanoverian mare, special English Thoroughbred stallion, Selle Francais stallion, Peruvian Paso mare, the collectable unicorns Garnet and Moonstone.

I'll do you an exchange, I'll send you the black swan from the UK if you send me the black friday Uni from the US default smiley xd How much does it cost to ship something across the pond?

Oh man, that could be a good idea...if i hadn't just spent my money on that order lol. I sadly cannot afford to make another order right now, especially since the black Friday uni (as well as the pink one) is $30! Why is that? The two unis are up for $30, but the silver regular horse is just $15...what exactly do they make that horn out of?!default smiley :o

Anyway, money is a little bit tighter right now, so i only picked up a couple of the other cheaper critters, and had to leave behind others that i so want to order! Hopefully soon. In the meantime, here's what i got along with the silver horse:

I got the new Caracal cat and cub!default smiley (l)

And i got the new Aardvark! He's pretty small though, sadly. But i have no idea how big an Aardvark is in real life, so...but i'm really loving these more unique creatures that aren't typically made into figurines like this! A few years ago i remember wishing Schleich would make a platypus...the next year, they did!default smiley :-))

The past couple orders i have made, Schleich has not included the typical "thank you" small random figurine that they had been sending...i do not know if they have stopped that little tradition for good, or will again in the future. I hope they do...it was fun to see what the surprise was!default smiley *-)

That's it for now! Ta ta!

Oh yeah, i have NO idea what it would cost to ship across the pond. I do not sell things online, and i have never mailed anything that far lol! I have on occasion ordered from across the pond, but i've seen things with free shipping (not included in items price even! I can explain that story if anyone is interested) and i've seen things with rather expensive shipping, so i don't know what it would be for *me* as an individual to ship something.
