The first horse I ever rode was named Jenny. She was a Buckskin QH with a dorsal stripe. She was about 16.5 hands. Once when I was riding her, she spooked and jumped in the air with me on her! I jumped off of her. Will never forget her or that incident!

The first time I rode a horse was at a week long summer camp were we rode all day everyday. All the horses were tied in the arena and and my instructor asked everyone who they wanted to ride. I had my my heart set on a 14hand odd eyed paint mare named Oreo, but I ended up with Joe, a 28 year old gelding that would barely trot. Turned out that the girl who got orea was actually afraid of her so later that summer I signed up for the second camp. This time I was able to ride Oreo. She turned out to be a total nut. She would turn around and bite my leg when I was riding, and she would jerk her head down so much to eat grass that by the end of the trail ride my hands would be covered with blisters. As crazy as it sound this made me love Oreo even more. When I found out she was for sale I begged my parents to buy her but the said that I needed a better behaved horse. I always argued that "well behaved horses are boring, I need a challenge". Four years later I got my first horse, a chestnut quarter horse mare who had sat in a pasture for 4 years. I am currently training her for barrels and it is definitely a challenge!

The first horse i rode was Ariel. She was the best arabian crossed with some pony that owner didn't know. I loved her sooooooo much. She had the smoothest gait ever!! She got old and had some disease so the owner had to put her down. Everytime i pass the stables i look and see Cloudy, the horse who Ariel would keep out of trouble. I miss Ariel soo much. RIP Ariel
