Sedona (: I've remembered the names of every horse I've ridden
Sedona, Arizona, Beau, Chanel, Kit, Leo, Tommy, Red, Gunsmoke, Ranger, Scout, and Roxie. LOL |
Depends on how you define rode; the first horse I ever sat on was an old fell called Moses when I was about 1. The first horse I ever actually rode, as in had reins and was (somewhat) in control of the horse was a palomino called Charlie who is quite possibly the lazy horse I have ever met (but at least he wouldn't run off with me).

The first horse I ever sat on was a massive shire horse at a farm, I can't remember his name at all. The first horse I properly rode though was a skewbald 14.1hh cob called Paige. She's retired now though.

The first horse I rode, well, I don't remember all of his name or coat color but iI do know that his name had been something like Peanut Butter. And I do remember that a few lessons afterwards he was listed as being for sale.

The first horse/pony I ever rode was a pony named Bunny. I rode him/her (I don't remember) western on a trail ride in Brown county while I was staying at a cabin. The first horse I took a lesson on was a chestnut gelding Quarter horse named Jackson. He was and is still stubborn and lazy . Then I went on another trail ride at the same place and rode a gelding horse named Troy (All of the horses there were dead broke .)Then I took another lesson on a Quarter horse mare named Magic. I rode Jackson a couple other times but Magic and I just clicked and I've rode her ever since. In fact I have another lesson with her tomorrow!! ugh! dying for my own.

A half paint, half thoroughbred stallion named Jack (show name: jack be quick) and he was huge! (To me at least I was pretty short, honestly he was probably only about 16 maybe 17 hands) I was about 6 and it was the 1st time mama let me into the barn for anything other than learnin to groom using the 2 Shetland ponies we had. And that one time was all it took, I became, and still am, a straight up addict when it comes to riding. Jack was already about 5 when I started riding but he passed passed when I was about 13, he lasted 12 years but we retired him from, well everything really, he stayed in the pasture all day and came in at night and during the rain for the last 3 years he had, he did nothing, and it was perfect!
MISS YA JACK! Hope Your Havein Fun In The Great Pasture In The Sky, And Drivin All The Mares Wild With Your Good Looks!!! |
