It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Hello NIB breeders! I'm a returning player who remembered this thread. I'm not particularly interested in NIB breeding myself, so after I Blup and then get a few foals from my foundies, (Irish Hunters) I'll be wanting to sell them to someone from this group who might need them. default smiley :)
(of course this will also only be after I finally unlock the reserved sales...lol) Please let me know who wants/needs them and what the current fair price for them is!

I’m gonna try my hand at some NIB with this new breed default smiley ^) I need a side project. If anyone wants to collaborate feel free to PM me. I won’t be rushing through it too much more than I already have so it’ll be a regular grind thing.

Anyone have advice on how many foundie horses someone should have to start an NIB project?

@SkipinChex - Depends on how big a project you want. Welcome on board!
The number of horses you need explode... like fast ...

Horses needed to progress generation wise.
Example to breed 10 generations of NIB horses:

2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256. 512, 1024

What Asfri said

But you can start out with say 4 foundations to see if you actually like/can bear working with the breed and go from there.

With rolling gain foundations you could also line breed and so only need to source one new foundation for each generation (assuming the gp lines up).

I'd like to join lbenedict15 in this project. You may send me a wish list as well, but please, no double-dipping (if you send lbenedict15 a list, please don't send me one). I'm also interested to know which breed you're working on.

I wish everyone a very happy holiday season!

That's a very nice Shetland!

I got a couple of my favourite breed a couple weeks ago: Audreyy and Android

I had far too much fun with those two. Knowing my luck I won't see the Morgans back for ages now but I'm happy with those two.

I was just checking this morning to see what breeds were available, and I believe I saw Morgan in there. I loved Vaporeon's idea about a nice little Birthday treat. My youngest kiddos Birthday is tomorrow and thought that may be a nice way to commemorate each kiddos Birthday here on out. Slap a coat on based of their interests at that point in time and I'll have a lovely little collection to look back on.

You should do it, my main love for horse breeds are Curlies. But since they are hardly available as Champion Seed breed to choose from I will buy another breed from time to time. Otherwise all Curlies will have the same GP, and I like variation. I started collecting some Thoroughbreds as welll, I figured why not take a coat here and there I like on a breed her and there I like. default smiley (lol) It will become a nice collection. default smiley :d

I'm still puzzled why are Russian dons so hard to get?
My RG gifters have only gifted me 1 max 2 over the years. So odd

Totally stole Vaporeon's idea, and added my own little spin. No shame. Any excuse to get a foundie, right?! Pretty sure I nailed the the coat to fit my little ones personality, the background may be a bit over the top for her, she is more a bit subtle, but it still fits I think.
