This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

Only prepped for two (I usually get about 3 per release). Just as they came up my cat helpfully ran across the keyboard and brought up some help pages. Still got those two, one of them the riding horse, so I think it must have gone fairly slow!

Just missed the winged riding uni and the fish uni pony. Really wanting that winged uni so I might wake up early to grab it. 12 limited coats altogether, not a bad haul default smiley (y)

Missed the pony, but no biggie. I'll get it at 3am and a few spares. Very happy with the shrimpy and the horse with rainbow tail. Overall a good release!

What do you mean manipulated?
She gifted those coats to players that were closest to her in the game..she only wanted friends to have a copy so it held its value for them so to speak and a way to remember her when she retired from the game.

As for the release..love the Japanese ponydefault smiley (7)

The manipulated coat I have is Kezia pegasus, can't do a pic on this, didn't realise the copies were newly minted until one appeared on a recent dob horse but I'd bought one by then.

And by manipulated I mean exactly that, coats that were never up for normal use but manipulated to earn the creators large amount of passes as they effectively charged collectors for its use. That is why two other once popular and sought after retired coats are absent from my collection.

If it wasn't fair game, can it really be classed as a collectable? Guess that's individual choice.

First time I've been around for general release in a very long time, boy that lag waiting for them is frustrating, but I managed to nab the ones I missed last night for once so that was nice!

I missed two coats and I blame this on the new interface. It didn't register my buy twice, while I did press all the buttons and there were enough coats still available. It has done this before in the past. When I noticed, of course it was too late, since the coats are gone within seconds. With the old interface I never had any issues in years, not even once. I have only started to miss out on coats with this new interface.

I'll survive without those coats but this is frustrating lol. At least I'm lucky I got my favorite ones.

i got 5/9 of the 100 copies (which i was surprised by) since i missed them last night due to my internet going out at the exact time they were released default smiley (lol) default smiley xd

I think this sometimes happens when it's sold out as you click. Unless you refreshed and there were still coats available? I had an error pop up on one this time: think it was the pony, or possibly the winged riding unicorn (things tend to blur a bit....). Those were 2 and 3 on the list so I just assumed they'd sold out and moved on.

The interface does definitely slow you down. But maybe that's a good thing if it gives everyone a chance to get something? Not if some get high numbers of multiples while others miss out on something they really want though....

Not too bothered missing the pony but I really liked the winged uni...

Same happened to me default smiley :( It's ok though so many pretty ones this time!! default smiley (7) my fave is La petite Mia, I have to keep a couple and Ioshiko is 2nd favourite default smiley ^)

I think it's one of my favorite Hennessy coats to date, so glad I was able to get a copy because it went so quick for a 200 use!

Glad there were not many, and my absolute favorite of this round is the 600 use peggy.default smiley (7) Stunning.

Well that coat release was close to a disaster for me, I'm usually able to get nine in one go but this time I got a error message on the the wing unicorn riding horse which confused me so much I missed one of the riding horses as welldefault smiley :(

I never got an error message before doing coat release but I can see that the wing unicorn riding horse there is a 100 users coat has 102 so clearly something went wrong with it.

On top of that it was not showing up in sales last night at all forcing me to be online for the public release while I was at work, I'm not a fan of that.

On the plus side it's an absolutely stunning coat and I did manage to get one, just more hassle than they usually are.

I agree, that 600 use one is stunning, and is one of my favorites from this release as well. I was very happy that i was able to get one of all the limited coats this go around. Really didn't think i could pull it off, having been on the highway (but not driving myself!) for the prerelease, and nearly dead to the world (asleep after an exhausting weekend) early in the morning for regular release...last month i slept too late and didn't wake up until the exact minute they were released and then had technology issues so missed out. As tired as i was last night, i largely expected that to happen again. Very happy it worked out this time!default smiley ^)
