This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

I already posted my rarest, but I'm really excited about this RobbinLara coat I got yesterday. This is the first RobbinLara I've found in ages, and I'm now a hair's breadth away from finishing the collection!

When is Howrse gonna retire all the pre creation space coats where the owners are no longer on Howrse? This is a glitch that has lasted too long. When a player is no longer on Howrse, their pre-cs coat gets retired. Period. This glitch has lasted years but no one does anything. I'm waiting for the devs corner to fix that little mistake. Otherwise there is no chance they will ever retire. There's a bunch of them too!

By the way this thread has been more dead that Johnny Depp's career lately. It only seems to sparkle when new coats hit the market. This is the most seen topic in this forum. So what's going on? Are we tired of our virtual sticker collection?

For me collecting has become a standstill. I haven't added to my collection in over a year except for the monthly new coats. It's been that long since I've even seen a coat in DC sales that I don't already have.

So new topic: How long has it been for you collectors in the top twenty in creation space rankings? How long since you added to your collection? New coats don't count.

The rest of you feel free to talk about it too. But I'm most curious if it's just people are not selling for max price anymore. They just don't find it worth it. And then that begs the question if Howrse will, like the divine, allow retired coats go for up to 5,000 passes instead of 2,500. Or even 10,000! One might start seeing the rare ones in sales again. Howrse could profit. The only down side is it will be even harder to good prices on the darkish ones.

Once I add a new coat, I don't sell ever. Unless it's a double. So I get why it's hard to find new stuff. That and all the abandoned accounts with old retired coats.

I hear ya...i'm not sure when i last added a new "old" coat to my collection. Unless i'm forgetting one somewhere, its been a while. For me, its largely about cost. I'm poor and so my best bet for adding to my collection these days is to get them BEFORE they retire, as most of the time i simply cannot pay the prices being asked for most of them. I've managed to collect all the remaining Pre CS coats, so i'm good there. The number of limited coats in each release has risen, so it pretty much breaks me to get them all even before they retire (if i can). If i miss some, which is becoming the norm these days with so many, i'm in a pickle and get lucky to pick any of them up. I might have more passes available though if i weren't also interested in earning prizes and/or divines, which allows me to BLUP, in all these promos and some weekend offers. I also maintain VIP. In other words, i get stretched pretty thin!default smiley :s

I'm pretty sure that the pre CS coats where the maker had left the game years ago, were all retired as a bunch some two or three years ago. I remember being shocked one morning by how much the number of retired coats in the directories had risen. I'm sure I posted them all at the time. There are loads of old GA's where the maker still has an account but has been inactive for years, it would be nice if some of those dormant accounts were deleted, there are far too many of those!
I haven't bought anything but a newly retired coat from the sales for about five years, I think.

One of the makers whose coats were originally glitched was Foxylady,. You can see in the directories that all her coats are now retired.,
