This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.
REMEMBER:
******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs
* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums
* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.
* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...
** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.
* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.
* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.
* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.
*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.
* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.
* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.
* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer
* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.
** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.
* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.
*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.
*#*#*#* If players feel the need break the main topic rules, such as sales ads/coat countdowns/spares-you can expect an instant forum ban without any warning prior to it *#*#*#*

Am I missing something? Or is it weird how majority of these, Pre-CS coat creator, inactive accounts all last logged in on the exact same day? 2018-11-28

I don't recall if it was ever officially addressed, but it was some sort of glitch that affected inactive players at that time. Their last logged in statuses were update to that Nov. 28 date.
It was brought up by players on
page 6926
and on
page 6929
.
It happened in the midst of a large drop in coat copies, yet before a number of PreCS coats were retired that were referenced on the previous page. Not that all of that was necessarily related, but for timeline purposes, I think it's interesting to note.

Its been a very long time since I bought any coats apart from new releases, I think a lot of us are in same boat so nothing to show off.
I don't really consider the creation space coats worthy of showing off in the same way, so although I'm missing some and occasionally will pick one up I rarely share.

[quote=1403700088]For me collecting has become a standstill. I haven't added to my collection in over a year except for the monthly new coats. It's been that long since I've even seen a coat in DC sales that I don't already have.
So new topic: How long has it been for you collectors in the top twenty in creation space rankings? How long since you added to your collection? New coats don't count.
It has been over a year since I have added a new coat. I so miss the thrill of finding a oldie but goodie.
As far as old accounts I wish they would place horses in those accounts in auctions to give other collectors a chance vs just deleting them.
Like you I don't sell unless I have a double and honestly with the market I don't sell many of those. I wish we could also put a "reserve" on a auction horse that way if the rc didn't get a appropriate bid we didn't lose ours tails.

Well apart from the one 5 uses I just missed out on today, which went for a whopping 43,000 passes which I didn't have so that's why I didn't get it
I can see I have 7 new old ones from 2020 (I sort them in year farms) and I think some of them were from auctions but I kind of deleted 2020 from my mind so I'm not sure
But apart from today I think it's been a year for me as well since I last added a new old one to my collection.
I like the idea that we could buy from inactive accounts there is facing deletion anyway, but I think it would be more trouble for Howrse then it would be worth.
First off I think there might be some account rights (EU and America personal law things) that would stop Howrse.
Secondly that will properly have to be done by a person, so how about it haffyfan?
Going through thousands of coats seeing the ones you're missing but not been permitted to take them you have to put them in auctions all of them, that would be like putting me in charge of a whole bunch of cakes and telling me I can't have a single one I have to give all of them to someone else.
I would do it and I imagine haffyfan would be honest as well it would just be excruciating painful.
I believe haffyfan would suffer for all of us but I don't think it would be particularly enjoyable.
Perhaps it could be automated and when account is marked for deletion everything on it is thrown into auctions?
I like the idea of going down memory lane, but I can't always remember which RC coats is associated with what story.
So maybe we should try and do it without the pictures because I remember a lot of funny and sweet things in my RC hunting through the years but I can't remember what RC it was.
The first that springs to mind is this one:
I was up at 3 o'clock in the night on a workday battling it out in auctions for an RC I ended up paying 150 passes for it (it was under the old system) I think that's the most expensive one I have.
(But I can't remember which one it was)

If coats from deleted accounts go in the auctions, who would get the passes/money we buy them for.?? I would not be happy with it going to Howrse, they get enough from collectors as it is

Maybe whichever friend is highest on their list and still active. Or they are added to the next lottery. Howrse would never go for it but it's fun to speculate. Speaking of speculation... Just how much power does haffyfan have? What Zilakla says is intriguing. (By the way HARD name to remember spelling on. My auto correct turned it into dilemma.) In the interest of democracy I say it be put to a vote. Obviously coat collecting is getting a little dull with no new finds. Howrse has an obligation to keep things interesting. It is a business after all.
Who would be in support of all the retired coats on an account ready to be deleted by Howrse, get sent to auctions?
Important note: If the owner of the account deletes it, those coats are lost forever. Otherwise the coat count would never go down.

I would be ok with Howrse getting the passes if and only if it meant we got more golden apples and harmony packs as promo prizes

Haha, my superpower is procrastination (and turning into a unicorn
)
I also wanted to be She-ra as a young child if that counts or a golden girl (whichever had the black horse with pink mane and tail, the white faced pink haired one was my favourite!)
Click to display
That might go some way to explaining my unicorn obsession and tastes in coats

Sissy Long Stockings you're welcome to call me Zil if you want, you all are
I had an note on my screen the first year I played to remember the spelling on my own username
I would vote yes for coats going into auctions instead of being deleted off the game, it wouldn't really be any different than the Black Friday sales, Howrse don't actually get the passes they don't have any use for them their only interest is to reduce the number of them on the game thereby increasing the demand, that could be a reason for them to actually do this.
But I think the best and easiest way of doing it would simply be that everything there is sellable(that would exclude some divines) on an account marked for deletion goes into auctions, otherwise as I said I think someone physically would have to go through the account and sort everything.
There is two problems with that I can think of right away one is the law about personal data the second is man hours.
Basically it would have to be one of Howrse employees and it's a waste of money to have them sit and go through horses.
So the only solution would be everything because that could potentially be automated, I am thinking in programming right now, I actually think I can write the code for that, thinking Windows servers and powershell I think the command would be relatively simple.
I don't have access to anything Howrse related mind you, but I do know how to structure commands for powershell.
haffyfan
Your pictures just reminded me of the whole reason I play and love Howrse, I was a model horse collector I have 286 with numerous different origins, Barbie(the old ones the ones that actually look like horses), Breyer and the smaller ones that looks very realistic which names start with S and sounds German, that I have no idea how you spell and several others from the 80s and 90s.
I think I started when I was 5 years old and I brought the last one when I was 17.
I love them and I still have all of them but I moved several times in my life where it's been very inconvenient to move them, they do collect dust and take up space.
Howrse was just easier I can have a limitless amount of horses in here and I don't have to pack them up in boxes ever, clean dust off them or find space for them.
So I just moved my hoarding tendency online, it is a lot more convenient.
Thank you for that reminder haffyfan, I think it's good for me sometimes to remember if it wasn't Howrse it was something else, I love collecting and that is not going to change.

Do you mean Schleich? It rhymes with like. Their catchphrase is I Like Schleich! I'm actually a huge collector of them.
I also collect Breyer and CollectA but Schleich is my first and biggest collection! We have a topic dedicated to it in the Equestrian Forum.
I collect the horses as well as other critters.

I am the girl that never played with Barbies, but instead the old my little ponies
When I was growing up I started with the second generation of my little pony toys, but it switched to the third generation when I was like 8 years old. At first I disliked the G3 but eventually I loved them so terribly much. Still have all of them, which would be more than 200 ponies (can't say an exact number, I should count them one day) and then some extras like buildings etc.
Could never get rid of them though!

I played a lot with Barbie horses, not the dolls so much.
I did have a lot of my little pony as well most of them I inherited from my sister.
Maybe this is actually the place to ask this, in my collection of horses I have some there is the size of Barbie horses, there is covered in a soft puff and have rabbit hair for a mane(with rabbit skin)
I believe they were a rip-off brand for Barbie may be called Selly, but though I scoured the Internet I never been able to figure out what they were called or found any pictures of them, I have a lot of them in many different colours they about 30 cm high, all in a standing posture with all four legs touching the ground, they were very common when I was a kid any store with toys had them.
Does this ring any bells with any of you?

I hope you don't mind me hijacking this conversation again, but I just added two more Rigardattas to my collection and I just had to share!!
I am now 3 coats from finishing my collection, I'm vibrating from excitement
Here they are, the cutest:
Абрикос (Abrikos) - Rigardatta - 191 copies left
Зефирка (Zefirka) - Rigardatta - 200 copies left
They're not the rarest (I think Napestrianka and Samudra are the rarest), but I needed them and I'm so happy they're now part of my set

I had she ra horses and dolls, breyer horses (just lost the ones I played with in fire in March. Bought one of them online the comanche pony), fashion star fillies, my little pony, grand champion and barbie horses as a child. I like barbies but mostly to go with horses.
