I was expire eating on PreProd, and I came up with a probability for the levels on TCs. I will use this as a reminder not to blow away all of my passes:


So what I did is I recorded how far I was able to get in each TC (I only got my gifts early once because I couldn't resisit a treasure chest default smiley (lol))

So this is math (you may have better or worse luck):

You have a 100% chance of getting to level 2, so you only have to open one TC to get to level 2.

You have about 66% chance of getting to level 3, so you probably only need to open about 2 TCs in order to get to level 3

You have a 40.5% chance of getting to level 4, so you probably only need to open about 3 TCs to get to level 4

You have about a 20% chance of getting to level 5, so you probably need to open about 5 TCs to get to level 5

You have about a 7.5% chance of getting to level 6, so you probably need to open about 13 TCs to get to level 6

You have about a 3% chance of getting to level 7, so you probably need to open about 26 TCs to get to level 7

You have about a .5% chance of getting to level 8, so you probably need to open about 200 in order to get to level 8

This is all based off of my results, so I hope that this helps you decide whether or not to try one last time for that divine default smiley ;)
My odds aren't looking good for Bailos, so I might not get him. I understand the language of math better than Howrses 'it's up to you to pocket your earnings at the right moment'! I wish that after we claimed our gifts, then it would show us what we could've won had we kept going!

As I explained to someone else - the best location will really depend on what you want in a center:

If you want a lot of boxes - the Forest or Beach is best as you can get Wood or Sand respectively (which are the two resources use to craft them and repair them)

If you want to offer things like Showers, Water Troughs, and Tack by producing them - the Mountain is best as you can get Iron (which is used in crafting these items)

Take my Center for example; I want to be able to offer every benefit, and with this update the last thing I would need are Water Troughs for my boxes. So when this goes live, I'm putting my center in the Mountains to get Iron...then towards the end, I'll probably switch back to Forest so I can harvest wood to expand even further and to have wood on hand to repair my boxes and other buildings (green houses and workshops)

The good news is you'll have 30 days to play around with the locations - so you can change as often as you like for those 30 days...after that however, your EC location will be final

on preprod the season divines are in the TC despite them already appearing in the TC during the GC, and being sold in the reserved sales.
This makes me hopeful that other divines that have already been in the reserves will be perhaps in the TC?
I still need some solars and winds that I missed when they were in the reserves and I would spend quite a bit to complete my collections

anyone have any insight?

On prepod, here is something interesting I noticed while playing with the titan's challenges:

Now before anyone claims that I am "cheating the system" or whatnot, keep in mind that this is something I was experimenting with within bounds of Howrse.

So I was loading a movie in another tab in my browser (Firefox) and of course loading videos takes up enormous amounts of bandwidth so therefore my internet connection elsewhere was really slow.
And I noticed that when I clicked "go to the next level" on the titan's challenges, it would either quickly go to the next level, or lag a bit before telling me that I found nothing. It would lag for about a good 2 seconds with the spinning monkey thing.
In that time, while the monkey loading animation kept spinning, I quickly clicked "claim my gifts", and instead of losing, I got the gifts 50% of the time if I was fast enough.

That kind of reminds me of how you can enter 6-7 comps at a time by quickly going down the rows and hitting "enter" on a lot of comps before you're redirected back to the horse's care page. (If you know what I'm talking about)

Now maybe it's just with me, and maybe somehow this is "against Howrse rules", but it's just something I noticed.


Also, here are some stats I had on prepod.
With a limit of 100 passes, I won 2 Summer divines and 2 treasure chests. That gives you an idea of the chances. And even though I spent 100 passes, I did not get to level 8. I've spent 200+ passes now and have still not reached level 8, but that's just me. default smiley :)

Prepod Update:

- 1,000 passes have been used up.

- Kept a tally and I won 27 Summers total (Though I only really got 2 because I kept trying to advance to level 8)

- Did not reach level 8

- Good news is: I now have 383 Posideon's packs
(since P.packs are the most common "loser" gift)

hit level 6 , nine times and level 7 once.

My results out of 50 Titan's Challenges on Preprod:

Level 2: 18 times
Level 3: 19 times
Level 4: 7 times
Level 5: 4 times
Level 6: once
Level 7: once
Level 8: nope

i quit trying i am all out of diamonds and passes hubby will not buy me more hes up to here with me and my game haha, pulled my RC coats out of the sales because no one is speniding passes on horses, o well ill have to pray a CROESUS will just show up one day becasue of my jr CROESUS default smiley (lol)

I did my own TC tests on preprod, but that was some time ago... Judging by the results other people have had I'm guessing either the odds have changed or that I just got ridiculously lucky back then.

Number of TCs used: 450

Level they successfully reached before breaking:

Lv 2 = 145 times
Lv 3 = 124
Lv 4 = 96
Lv 5 = 46
Lv 6 = 21
Lv 7 = 9
Lv 8 = 9

The level 8 prizes were:

Sapphire, Emerald, Amethyst, Jade, Pearl, Balios (3 times), no Divine (just lots of BMIs)


In the tests I always went for the next level because if you choose to accept the prizes you could potentially have stopped prematurely on a TC that was going to go all the way to level 8. Since the chance of reaching that level is already really low you could be skewing the data significantly.

Looks like monday is the big day, well at least its not going to be like the last one, I was to scared to be working a horse when it happened, I wanted all fresh horses. We can just go about the game.until it happens.

Anyone else a little annoyed by the removal of meadows and boxes? I found them incredibly useful and often used them to feed my horses so I wasn't eating into an ECs fodder reserve default smiley :@

I've already had PMs from people who allowed me to use their RCs for Gran Prix stating that they are no longer reserving comp boxes because there is no way they will be able to provide a competition level EC anymore...

I used to spend a ton of passes on Gran Prix horses... not anymore... Hope the EC changes are worth it now that only the very Elite will be able to offer 12+ or more Comp bonus for their friends

Ah, it's coming Monday!

I have just one concern, though. I will be able to make an EC in 11 days, which means 9 days after the EC update. So will I have a full month during which I can change the location, or a month minus 9 days?

1. heavy horses such as shires although these wont come in the monday update

2. I'd assume just buy however we won't know fully until the update

on the tcs, did people just keep clicking? sometimes i click three times and if i get to level three then i pay attention, how do you guys do it? Do you wait between levels?
