[FT] Spoiler Zone!
what does that mean It means that we only have two rides aside from beach, forest & mountain. All breeds except for like 2 will require BOTH rides to be done to reach 100 blup. So, it really doesn't matter where you board your horse, as long as the EC is either forest or mountain, at least for blupping purposes as it stands at the moment in preprod.

what does that mean That no matter what breed it is athey have no jimmied the rides around that there are no better places to board because all horses will need to do both Mountain and Forest rides to be blupped. The only bonus is the EC setting acts somewhat like a chronos timer and speeds up those rides but no matter what there are no breed that have an advantage.. |
why did they have to mess up something that wasn't even broken? I don't understand on how my horses will be trained right after this new change

why did they have to mess up something that wasn't even broken? I don't understand on how my horses will be trained right after this new change Very, very painfully. Lots of people are upset over in preprod. Maybe they'll listen. Or, more likely not.

I am a little confused what what will be changing with the rides?

why did they have to mess up something that wasn't even broken? I don't understand on how my horses will be trained right after this new change The devs are trying to make if fairer for everyone. Currently certain breeds have an advantage over others where rides are concerned - specifically any breeds that only needs to do one type (e.g. Western Pleasure breeds, Reining breeds, Cross Country breeds, etc). Other breeds such as Barrel Racing and Cutting breeds have two do two types of rides including long and short ride types which is incredibly time consuming and tedious (doing 50hrs of short rides 1hr at a time is not fun ) If all breeds have to do two types of rides from now on it levels the playing field and I think I speak for most people when I say that getting rid of short rides is a very welcome change I am a little confused what what will be changing with the rides? They're changing it so there are three types instead of seven. No more short speed rides Just two types of rides that provide three types of skills each and then beach rides which will continue to work pretty much as they currently do.
|
I am a little confused what what will be changing with the rides? There will be no more trot, gallop, or steep slope rides. Only Mountain and Forest rides. They keep changing up which skills will be boosted with each ride, but basically you'll need to do ALL of the rides for both to bold a horse's top three skills in blupping. Only beach rides are staying about the same. A very experienced blupper will be able to bold most breeds by around 9 yrs old to 9 yrs 4 months. Some breeds even the experienced players will have to go over 10 yrs old, especially if you go through a lot of comps for wins. And that is IF you use a Shower Stall and mashes! A newbie player or new to blupping player will be lucky if they can reach 100 blup by 15-16 yrs old...

About the upcoming changes. Not sure if this needs a spoiler.
Click to display If all breeds have to do two types of rides from now on it levels the playing field and I think I speak for most people when I say that getting rid of short rides is a very welcome change I personally would prefer to continue with speed rides. this update is going to completely change how i train my horses for comps. |
ditto it was fine the way it is now, the change seems like a waste of time trying to get horses trained and don't see how it make it fair for eveyone its just a waste of time now with the new training way

Hello! Will someone please
Click to display What will the the divine for the GC look like? |
I made a table to show how the current system is unfair -
This is the amount time and total energy required to complete rides for breeds who specialize in the following competition types (there are more combinations since not all breeds have skills that match any of the competition types perfectly, but I think this illustrates my point): (Note: This is without a shower) Four of the ten require twice the amount of hours to complete their ride skills and three even require more than double the energy of Western Pleasure too (I feel bad for barrel racers! ). With the new system all breeds (excluding Cross Country specialists*) will need to do a maximum of 200 hours (or 150 hours if boarded in a Mountain or Forest EC) and the energy required will be as follows: ♦Beach EC: 3600% total (200 hours) ♦Forest or Mountain EC: 2700% total (150 hours) ♦Switching between Mountain and Forest EC: 1800% total (100 hours) ← Something VIPs can do if they have the perk that allows them to take their horses out of their own EC before their stay has expired. While the numbers are high (and I think that might be an issue ), at least no breed is at a disadvantage where rides are concerned. If the amount of time or energy could be adjusted a bit I think this is a fair change. * Click to display Ow mentioned that this may change - so all breeds including XC horses have to do the same amount of rides
|
I think it is good that all breeds have to do both types of ride. Its has always been a little unfair that some only needed one type and others had to do more. It may mean that some of the less popular breeds will now stand more chance to become competitive. Cant give any figures because I haven't had enough time to spend on testing this time around
|
maybe we should voice our dislike for the new rides system and they will cancel it like the silver apples, Also I dislike the new rides system as I don't understand it and don't wanna mess my horses training up.

I like the new rides, the short rides are soooo tedious, and I hate having to put a horse to bed with several hours that could have been used for something else.

Ups, the last one you can choose also xanthos.
And sory for small letters. Howrse did not let me put lot og big letters |
I made a table to show how the current system is unfair - Neferka, I think I love you... Thanks for doing all the maths. Yes, change is annoying at times, but I daresay we will all get used to it soon enough. If you are worried about 'messing up' training, just take a break from training for a couple of days after the update (or practice on some AP farm/pass horses) until things become clearer and new BLUPing schedules are developed. I for one will be glad when everyone has to do two sets of rides. Plus it should stop me being lured into buying KWPNs to skill when I don't have the time or resources to do it....

whill horses skills still matter since lessons will be gone? also after the change will you be able to sale straw to the store? also how do you train horses with the new system if someone know could they write one for qhs here?thanks all

Maybe I will need to save up a little money and get myself a gift *that Olympus Pack is tempting me* or get the Fiance to get me a late anniversary gift...as something tells me these packs will be out closer to Christmas as opposed to the middle of the month when our anniversary is

And also - to possibly confirm what Kaesys wrote;
Click to display On the current Preprod server - the link for the Olympus Pack matches up to what was posted; For each Olympus Pack purchased, receive: Pack of 80 passes 1 000 000 200 x Aging point Greyfell Un cheval divin mythologique au choix : *a Mythological Divine of your choice* Sleipnir Xanthos Croesus Balios Greyfell Gullfaxi Hrímfaxi Skínfaxi This offer cannot be cumulative with other discounts. Sorry, I can't find a price but i'm hoping like last year it's the same price as a pack of 100 passes ($125 USD)

I like the new rides, the short rides are soooo tedious, and I hate having to put a horse to bed with several hours that could have been used for something else. I agree somewhat, especially when training KWPNs. They do about 2 and a half hours of short steep slope rides a day, and that's it. No more energy but lots more time... If this update improves training such as this, I will be happy.
|
ditto it was fine the way it is now, no, it is not fine I dislike the new rides system as I don't understand it then maybe you should wait until you understand it before being against it.
|
If the new rides mace our easier to blup the current breeds that require double rides, I'd be all for the change. But they're not. They're making it harder for all breeds, even more so that double rides are currently. And the skills gains have changed. XC breeds no longer have an advantage.
