KWPNs have dressage, jumping and speed as their top three skills. So there's no exact location, since one of those skills is in another type of ride. Your best choice would be a mountain based EC, since two of the three skills are in the mountain rides. One is in the forest rides.

TBs - same scenario. Two of their top three skills can be done in forest rides, whilst one is in the mountain rides. So I'd suggest a forest located EC for them.

Thank you xwarhound, I asked that same question a while back and have been still patiently waiting for an answer default smiley ;)

For any horse that needs two types of rides (so currently that would be any breed except ones with an XC skill set) you will still need to do the exact same amount of rides whether the horse is in a Mountains or Forest EC.

I believe, although I haven't had the chance to double check my numbers, that a two-ride-type breed (no matter the GP) will require 100hrs of rides (or 50hrs with the EC bonus) per ride type to gain all ride skills, so whether a horse is in the Forest or Mountain it will need 150hrs of rides in total. I'm excluding beach rides since I don't know/think that most people do those while blupping (?)

Basically, either EC type will be fine for any breeds other than XC breeds.

Prepod ( the testing site) ends the first of Dec so you would be well served to expect all changes including the Christmas promo to start anywhere from the 1st to the 8th.default smiley :)

I beg to differ. Since being in an EC in the area you are doing the rides - the horse gains the skills twice as fast, right? Otherwise you would gain it at a normal rate (like right now) in an EC with a different location. So it makes sense to BLUP in an EC that is in a location corresponding to a ride that holds two of the breeds top skills, not sacrifice two for the sake of one.

I'm stumped however with the current things my home server's preprod shows. It differs from what is written on here. Here it says forest rides are for speed, gallop and trot. And mountain rides are for stamina, dressage and jumping.

On my preprod in the new features it says:
Forest rides are for dressage, gallop, trot.
Mountain rides are for stamina, speed, jumping.

And yet the rides give:
Forest rides - dressage, gallop, jumping.
Mountain rides - speed, stamina, trot.

So, in the final end, any idea which it will be?
Why must you confuse me again?default smiley :-x

I had my mind set, oh know. With luck all this will make more sense.default smiley :$

@xwarhound regarding rides

Click to display
some tweaking is currently happening.
I have no clue if these rides are the final tweak. But just a little while ago they were changed to:

Mountain Rides
speed
stamina
trot

Forest Rides
dressage
gallop
jump

Yesterday the rides were like so:

Mountain rides
Stamina
Dressage
Jump

Forrest rides
Speed
Trot
Gallop

As for rides, if you can cancel board in your ec after doing one of the rides, then switch to an ec offering a different location, rides go much faster

Like Neferka said, the ONLY breeds that will need a specific location are Stamina, Dressage, Jump breeds. They will need a Mountain EC. This includes Gypsy, Arabian, Teke, etc.

If your horse is NOT a Stam/Dres/Jump horse, as it's top three skills, then it does NOT MATTER where you put it, Mountain or Forest. The rides will come out the same. To see what skills your horse will have as the highest, check the genetics tab.

Personally, I would never put a horse in a Beach EC. It doesn't make any sense, even for skillers that will need beach rides.

I have a slight question towards to E.C changes?

I keep most of my own horses at my own Equestrian Centre, mostly my teams unicorns, which are Shetlands, Quarter Horses, Icelandics and I BLUP/Skill my KWPNs there for boosting lessons.

But is there any way I can round go into middle ground with all of those breeds for my Equestrian Centre or am I going to have to ask around for boxes?

Oh my word. So today, rides have changed, again. This is so frustrating. I don't know why rides have to change at all. This is just making things more complicated...

Now, the only breeds that matter for choosing a location would be if they match up with any of these skills. I have no idea which ones do, lol. None that I have ever worked with.

Forest Rides: Gallop, Jump, Dressage
Mountain Rides: Stamina, Speed, Trot

This makes absolutely no flippin' sense...

Looks like it won't matter, since all breeds will have to do double rides anyway.

i don't see why no one is thinking about the resources each of them offer. everyone is just concerned about the rides.
