[FT] Spoiler Zone!
Did they pull the Haflingers? I had a bunch on preprod and now they're gone from my inventory?
And that's a horrible skill set for Lipizzaners. They really should be Dressage horses... This is a spoiler thread. I resent having to use spoiler tags. It's kind of redundant...

Out of curiosity, what coats do they have on the haffies?

Out of curiosity, what coats do they have on the haffies? It was just Chestnut Flaxen and Flaxen Liver Chestnut, if I remember correctly. I didn't screen shot the stats page though, so I don't remember the percentages.

I just did a test blup on a TB in a Forrest EC (that boosts the speed rides). Shower stall with flax bedding.
Normally I can have a TB bolded with wins comps done by 7 yrs 2 or 4 months. With this one, it took me to 9 yrs and 2 month. An extra TWO YEARS! This is aweful. Terrible, horrible, and not fun. It's going to take a newbie, without a shower stall, until 14-15 yrs to bold and blup a horse, if they're lucky. Bad call Ow, VERY bad call...

Thanks Equestrian, hoping they keep the ponies chestnuts.
Well I guess what you said about thb. I will keep original plains of the mountain.

I can totally understand howrse not wanting to bring "negative" coat mutations into the game. (If you understand what I mean by negative.) If that was the case, then they shouldn't have any albinos either, as true albinism [and not just a minimally spotted paint] usually indicates a fatal recessive gene and foals afflicted die within the first days of life, in most cases. Then again, according to most folks, unis and pegis don't exist and you can hardly use anything to make twins or shorten gestation in real life, so let's just keep things in perspective lol.

Can anyone tell me if its true; that there'll be historic divines? I seen some pictures on Google images od divines that look suspiciously like Ow & the Managers made. May be wrong, but I would still like to know.

May be wrong, but I would still like to know. Yup. Next set of divines are kind of like the wild horses in appearance. From preprod: A new series of 5 divine horses is introduced: ancient divines • Hyracotherium • Hipparion • Hippidion • Tarpan • Forest Horse A new trophy is added to the divine horses collection: Prehistoric Divines.

For anyone who plays on preprod,
Click to display Can anyone tell me which upcoming new EC location will be the most beneficial when your main breeding project is Irish Hunters? Thank you |
For anyone who is still interested in the Haflinger info--
Click to display Flaxen Liver Chesnut: Flaxen Chestnut: 94 % Flaxen Liver Chestnut: 1% Palomino: 4% This is what they are on the French server, I doubt they'll be any different on here. Also, the 'Zanners have the same coat as the Lusitano on here.
|
Not bad, Palomino? Sure wish they would of put the white on them, they are the flashiest looking guys, they are the only breed that I will except socks on.

The "albino" colored horses you're talking about are meant to be cremellos (which aren't correct because they're supposed to have blue or "wall" eyes) |

zanners are born black and turn white-grey with age. ive never heard of a brown zanner or any variation of brown zanners I thought that they were born black or dark, and grew up to usually be white/light grey, but I'm pretty sure you can get adult bays, and I suppose that all of the Lippizanners' not-white coats are pretty much the same colours, Bay, Dark Bay, Liver Chestnut, etc.

This is what equestrienne1979 wrote, but I couldn't quote it.
It was just Chestnut Flaxen and Flaxen Liver Chestnut, if I remember correctly. I didn't screen shot the stats page though, so I don't remember the percentages. I could've sworn that Halfingers are often Palomino, hopefully Howrse can add that.

And are there any pictures of what the Haffies will look like?

I thought that they were born black or dark, and grew up to usually be white/light grey, but I'm pretty sure you can get adult bays, and I suppose that all of the Lippizanners' not-white coats are pretty much the same colours, Bay, Dark Bay, Liver Chestnut, etc. From: http://www.lipizzan.org/aboutlipizzans.html "Lipizzans are genetically a type of grey. Born dark, black-brown, brown, or mouse-grey, Lipizzans gradually lighten until the white coat for which they are noted is produced somewhere between the ages of 6 and 10. The white hair coat has become dominant in the breed, and only now and then is a black or brown adult produced. As late as two hundred years ago, black, browns, chestnuts, duns, piebalds, and skewbalds were found in the adult herd." From: http://www.ansi.okstate.edu/breeds/horses/lipizzan/ "Grey is the dominate color of the Lipizzan today. Since white horses were preferred by the royal family, the color was stressed in breeding. As late as two hundred years ago, there were a great number of blacks, browns, chestnuts, duns and even piebalds and skewbalds. Today non-white Lipizzans are a rarity and only now and then is a black or bay found."

And are there any pictures of what the Haffies will look like? Look up at Atlantis's post. Palomino is also an option apparently. They're not on the test server anymore though, nor in the promo. So they might be putting off bringing them to this server. (They're already on the German server)

I found some pictures

I don't really like when a new breed comes in but it has the same coat as another breed. I know that it probably takes a while to design a new coat for a breed but I like it when there is some new coat for a new breed added onto the game.
|
I agree with you, I mean, yes I always get excited about a possible new breed, but I get even more excited at a new coat for that new horse.
|
I sure hope they bring them back, they are the greatest ponies.

I wish they wouldn't use the same pics for multiple breeds on here!

Not true. Double dilute is fatal. Albinism is not.

I love the palomino ones! I just love palomino horses
