Howrse is a business first and foremost, so yes, their main focus is on generating profit. That's how it works. Heck, I remember how a lot of people threatened to quit after the new vet fees were installed, but yet Howrse is still alive and well. My point is that at the end of the day, this game is ultimately meaningless (yes I'm a nihilist, deal with it), and we're all arguing over a bunch of pixels. I get feeling disrespected by a company, and I will say that Howrse really, really needs to work on its communication. They're going to do what they're going to do, and it's quite pointless to try to fight it.

Well put, Chelsea fc. I was just beginning to start collecting coats but this has made my collecting come to a complete hault until something is changed.

How are we fighting over a bunch of pixels? We are fighting over our real money that we have practically wasted on this game because of this new item. So many of the top collectors have spent more than you can imagine on passes for RCs which will now be worth less than the money they spent, not fake money, real money, that is worth complaining about, saying it isn't is utterly ridiculous.

yes Howrse is a business..and I know that on prepod.. they are getting quite an earful against it.. heck at least 3 people in the top 10 rankings said they may leave the game over it.. these are NOT nobody people.. howrse has a sponser who is not in it to make money.. who also has a habit of dropping its internet games that stop making money with VERY little notice.. If I was howrse and tons of top pass buyers were threatening to stop spending money losing thousands in income a month.. I would be worried of getting the axe from the sponser, and everyday more people are saying their discontent with the whole thing.. I just feel like if they don't listen for once.. they may doom themselves

That nakes sense. As the numbers go up with the "limited amount" it can move into a new category, allowing MORE copies to be purchased, making the value decrease MORE.

First, thank you for informing the paying customers here that this is a business.

Just to let you know, over the years many players have quit over numerous changes that were generated in this game. There are also players who are still here that no longer buy passes because of some of those changes.

Your point at the end of the day about pixels, well....it is null and void as many players have paid real money for them. And yes, they will probably do what they were planning to do. Is it worth it stand up and voice our opinions....Absolutely!

even if you kill it, it just deletes the coat and makes another copy available so dont waste your money buying them just to kill them off.

We should protest this new item... show howrse what we think. Maybe go on pass buying strike.

We know that, it still won't stop the value from going down unfortunately.

That's the funny thing about not having a lot of money: you come to have a very acute awareness of it's value. And given that this is the INT server, I can easily assume that the amount of money spent on this game is stupidly high (note: not insulting anybody, just an expression I use). Those are sunk costs; you will never be able to get that money back, what's done is done. I've spent money on this game as well, so I do get that part of it. Looking at this objectively, each pack that has this mythical item costs what, $130-ish or so? Not a lot of people can afford to blow that kind of money like that, especially around Christmas time. Only ONE of these items will be in each pack...just 1 per $130 pack. That's a heck of a lot of money for just 1 of these items; you'd have to plop down some serious money to even make it kind of worth it, and again, not everyone can do that around the holidays. So no, this really isn't the Apocalypse for RC collectors; frustrating? Sure. The end of life as we know it? Nah, nowhere close.

There will ALWAYS be somebody there to take the spot of one of the top people, so Howrse is still going to be generating money anyways. -shrugs- Ultimately, what people do is their business, and I obviously can't stop you from leaving if you genuinely feel that this is unforgivable.

But I don't want to hear, um....read, any complaints about the new BMI. It is what it is.

I highly doubt they'd release it as a BMI, if anything I seem it becoming like the Hestia's Gift, but we don't even know if they'll decide to go through with it or not, so until they we shouldn't raise to much of an uproar. They've already heard us and continuing to argue further isn't going to change their minds anymore than it already has been.
