All I want to say about upcoming update

It's just..... just.... nothing I can came up with. I like only 1 thing and it is time limit removal. In my opinion, the new pass update would reform all the game. I want to say that prices everywhere, would change a lot. Everything would cost much more, than it used to be, but also we would get more passes, so it would be (Howrse before update - VIP membership 50 passes, Howrse after update - VIP membership 100 passes) default smiley :@ . Also Yggdrasil, is one of the worst horses that Howrse came up with (My opinion). I would understand if he would give you something, but he looks like a pile of dirt with vegetables growing on him. He does nothing, and gives you nothing that you can use on other horses, he could give something but not some kind of rings and their seeds? If he is "Pass Horse" divine he should give like a pass seed (My opinion) or maybe a BMI's? Diamonds?

Right? Now why would I go sacrifice my horses for that thing? default smiley xd If anything, on my game, it's going to result in MORE horses, (if their goal was to get rid of horses on the game...or WHATEVER their plan was), because I'm not going to purposefully kill my unicorns for that thing!

Just a normal cards promotion with a different theme than last time. There are bronze, silver, gold, diamond, and joker cards. You scratch them to win prizes or to help complete a set or cards. Once a set of cards is complete, you get the prize from it. Once all sets are complete, you get the Divine.

I think that they're trying to get more people to buy passes, but honestly, this isn't the way to go about it. I have payed money on quite a few virtual games for their 'memberships', but this is the only game that I have not payed money on. I likely never will.

The other games are always at a constant pace. They may add some stuff, like games or new worlds, but they don't change this drastically. I trust that when I put my money into them, I will reap what I intended to get if I work for it. I ended up getting what I desired after a year's worth of playing. (A headdress.) I played for three years on that game, then passed my items on to my sister. When they had a technical difficulty, and we could not play for three days, they gave us some diamonds as recuperation! I could buy a lot with that, on that game!

While I quit those games a while back, I do not regret paying for them, but I know that I'd regret paying to get passes on here, in the end.

Honestly, they should just have a big 'ol sale on passes. Each pass over here is $2.00. Say I bought five passes. You know how many things I could do in the real world for $10.00 instead of paying $10.00 for five passes? I could go see a showing of a movie, or eat at a local restaurant, or buy my animals some toys, or buy a few new fish!
On here, I could get five golden apples, maybe buy a good young horse that I can turn into a skiller (which later becomes worthless), maybe win a Divine, MAYBE complete a promo. Too many maybes. Not much guaranteed outcome.

Why not have a sale like five passes for $5.00? Maybe make it once every couple of months. I know that there are some promotions on passes, but they're still very expensive per pass unless you buy a whole load of them.

Just my opinion, and I'm sure others will disagree, but I just don't trust that if I put money into Howrse, I will get something that will help me that much in the long run. *Shrugs.*


I do appreciate that you can do so much on Howrse without paying money, though. That is good.

@disco513 You're right! I miss the old Howrse, where this game owners where like other players. Everything was different. You could complete all promos without passes, they where adding new fun promos (Not like now, they just take old promo and returns it back) and more other things. I just want to say, that back then Howrse didn't cared about money, because 12 Million people where playing this game. Now what? I think that they aren't even 10 000 players in all servers, because everyone left this game. They just got bored, also I think most players left this game when Howrse owners had changed. These days Howrse cares more about the money, then players. default smiley :(

I haven't played for long, but it was different a year ago, too. Only slightly, but still a bit better, in my opinion. I miss 50,000 equus GAs. default smiley (lol)

If they are doing this to appease players who just want a Divine, why not throw two Divines in a promo? One easy to get (say 5 passes or so) with a small perk , and the other with a good perk and harder to get (10+ passes).


When I first joined there was...a certain kind of joy about the game, I guess is the right words. Now, all that keeps me coming back is my GA collection because, well, I love the artwork. But most of my good friends are gone and the topic(s) that I once posted a lot either gone or drastically changed.

I know games will change overtime, realistically, but so much change over such a short amount of time is very confusing.

what does Yggdrasil have to do with Olympus?

Mount Olympus is in Greek Mythology, Yggdrasil is in Norse Mythology

can someone please explain

Not everything on the game centers around Greek Mythology. However, I guess since the first Divine horses, and the Black Market are named stuff to do with it, that's why the Divine trophy is called "God of the Olympus".

i never said the whole game revolved around Greek Mythology

like i still don't understand what Yggdrasil which is the tree of life in Norse Mythology has to do with dead horses.

Every Divine is being grouped there. The Egyptians are under that trophy. The Rainbows and Solar Systems are. It's just how Howrse organized it, like I said probably because the first Divines and the Black Market revolve around Greek Mythology and they just decided to run with it.

I never said that you said the whole game revolved around it. Just pointing things out. ^-^

As to what one thing has to do with the other-
1) Death is a part of life
2) Some of the Egyptian Divines' perks don't add up to their myths. Anubis is associated with death and the afterlife, yet his gift is a Hestia's Gift instead of the lesser valued but more fitting Pandora's Box. Even the BMIs don't really have to do with their namesakes. Pandora's Box had little to do with death and resuscitation, Golden Apples didn't change appearance, Zeus' Lightning Bolts, while causing much trouble, had nothing to do with changing someone's gender (most of the time.)

Don't think too much about it. Not everything is going to match up.

not for that particular promo anyway. Morrigan will be in the flash sales like what often happens with the Cards promo. However, you can only get Greyfell by getting a Greyfell card
