More information for the M___ promo, since I think this is kind of useful for those who want to get the most out of the promo.

I was looking at the number of skills my horses have, and how many paces are regenerated per hour respectively.

My results are listed below, but please note that I do not know the exact number of skills needed for each level of regeneration. To be safe, I would try to use a horse that has skills *above* the minimum of what I have found.

0 - 1485 skills = +3 per hour
1554 - 4632 skills = +4 per hour
4688+ skills = +5 per hour

These results will also be added to the topic in my EC forum, to keep everything in one place and easy to find. default smiley ^)

To add to what Disco said, in general however, we never know beforehand when a divine will be offered in a luck item.

Can someone please link me to the how-to/need-to-know about the M___ promo? I haven't ever done this promo before and am quite confused by everything I have read so far. Does anyone have the link to the explanation of the promo that Howrse would have put out when it begun?

Thanks default smiley (y)

I have linked to my EC's forum multiple times now without it being a problem, so I am 99% sure it's allowed.

I have **Spoilers** written before the topic name which might be part of it, or it might be the website which you have provided that howrse has a problem with. I could be wrong, but as far as I am aware there has been some bad history with the founder of the website or the site itself, so most of the time things relating to it are reported.

I have worked everything out for myself (with help from some players) and provided my own screenshots or screenshots from other players here, which has always been allowed both in this forum and EC forums.

This isn't the place for anyone to advertise their own forums. If you want to post spoilers, you can do so here, in the spoiler banner. If you then keep more info in your forum, that is fine, but no more advertising.

Ah, then I apologise if I've broken any rules. It wasn't stated anywhere that it wasn't allowed as far as I'm aware, so I figured that it was safe to link players there to save a lot of time/effort finding the original posts (or copying and reposting them in my case, since I can't quote my own messages).

Thanks for the link, but it's still not quite what I am after. That is extra help to do the promo, but I need the initial information regarding the promo. For example, what are sweets? How do you get them? Paces? The kind of thing that Howrse would have posted when they introduced the promotion. Do you just go around a maze, or can you get kicked out if you make a wrong move? Does it cost passes to play? Etc.

If these kind of questions are not allowed, I am sorry. However I didn't think it would belong in the game play forum considering that it's a spoiler. Was there a topic posted in the events forum that could explain this for me?

This is the right forum for this, don't worry. When the promo starts, there will be another topic that will be up for players to ask questions and post their progress etc at the time. But for now, the spoiler zone is the correct topic as we are talking about a promo that has not yet started.

Basically,
Click to display
the maze promo is all about moving one step (or pace) at a time towards the exit. One pace is made up of 10 points on a regeneration bar, which can increase by 3/4/5 points per hour, depending on how many skills your horse has. So if you have a top-skilled horse that regenerates 5 points per hour, it will take two hours for you to have enough points to move one step through the maze. Also, it's worth noting that you can't take care of the horse that you have chosen unless you switch it out/finish the maze.

Sweets can be picked up along the maze. Each sweet icon you come across gives you three sweets, which equal three free steps. You can also buy sweets for passes if need be, as well as spyglasses which can uncover more of the maze before you get to that area (since the maze is covered completely from the start, and you would need to uncover the squares as you go along). Sweets can also be found in levels of the Titan's Challenge once the offer becomes available.

You can't get kicked out for making 'wrong' moves, but it will take you longer to finish asa you would have wasted steps. Besides paying passes for sweets/spyglasses/Titan's Challenges, you don't have to spend passes.

Here is the opening pop-up at the start of the promo:

I hope this clears things up for you a little more!

The Vintage Apple will be a prize in the upcoming Maze promo.

Besides that, we never know when any special BMI (Vintage Apple, Ow's Helios Ray, Fifth Element etc) or divine will be in weekend promotions/the Black Market. Usually it happens without any prior warning.

Average number of sweets per TC level = 4 sweets

default smiley (b) Maze 1 - Draft (Drum Horse)
If completing straight away...
-> 100 free paces = 10 free steps
-> 25 steps remaining / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 6.25 TCs (12-14 passes)
OR
-> 25 steps remaining / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 3.125 TCs (6-8 passes)

If waiting for free steps...
-> Can be completed in 50 hours (2 days 2 hours)
-> No passes needed!

default smiley (b) Maze 2 - Ow's Helios Ray
If completing straight away...
-> 100 free paces = 10 free steps
-> 69 steps remaining / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 17.25 TCs (34-36 passes)
OR
-> 69 steps remaining / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 8.625 TCs (12-14 passes)

If waiting for free steps...
-> Can be completed in 138 hours (5 days 18 hours)
-> Would take 7 days 20 hours with maze 1
-> No passes needed!

default smiley (b) Maze 3 - Titan's Challenge
If completing straight away...
-> 100 free paces = 10 free steps
-> 109 steps remaining / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 27.25 TCs (54-56 passes)
OR
-> 109 steps remaining / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 13.625 TCs (26-28 passes)

If waiting for free steps...
-> Can be completed in 218 hours (9 days 4 hours)
-> Would take 16 days 0 hours with mazes 1 and 2
-> No passes needed!

default smiley (b) Maze 4 - Divine (Sekhmet)
If completing straight away...
-> 100 free paces = 10 free steps
-> 143 steps remaining / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 35.75 TCs (70-72 passes)
OR
-> 143 steps remaining / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 17.875 TCs (34-36 passes)

If waiting for free steps...
-> Can be completed in 286 hours (11 days 22 hours)
-> Would take 28 days 22 hours with mazes 1, 2 and 3
-> Need passes to finish

Pass calculations...
-> 100 free paces = 10 free steps
-> 143 steps remaining
-> Promo runs for 19 days (estimated)
-> 19 - 17 days (time taken to complete previous three mazes) = 2 days remaining
-> 12 free moves per day x 2 = 24 free steps
-> 143 - 24 = 119 steps remaining
-> 119 / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 29.75 TCs (58-60 passes)

Does anyone know what GP the Drum Horses are going to start at? I know for foundies, it's based off the GP of the top horse of whatever breed they are, but what happens when they introduce a new breed? Does it start at 350 again, or will it be higher?

When the Selle unicorns were introduced they had 1600 odd GP or something like that. And looking at the base skill set in the directory picture Speedy provided it looks like the Drum horse will also start off with over 1000GP. Which is unfortunate as you'll have no idea how far the GP has progressed over time.

This is what my Drum Horse's gp is (ignore the BLUP, I was training whilst aging):

They have 0 skills when you first obtain them, but mine can have the following skills if I fully train it at an EC with 0.440 skill gain (I doubled the usual 0.220 for regular horses, since drafts have twice the earnings) and without beach rides.
