@GSDluvr

Whenever the teams/breeders make it there. It just depends how fast they breed.

Love it when I go to work and come home to Howrse and easy to answer questions:

Quick question. In the TH, if you are just working to get maximum points does it matter if you take longer to find all the bits or is there a time limit?

Sort of;

Click to display
Once you find your first item in a scene - a 10 second count down begins. If you continue to find items within this count down (which resets each time you find an item) you get an additional 15 points per item found.

Found item = 95 points
Item found within the 10 second time limit = 110 points (15 + 95)

There are 11 items total to find - so this means that if you find your first one, and find the other 10 within the time limit...the max amount of points you walk away with is 1195 (110 x 10 + 95)

However, there is no time limit overall that you have to search to find everything (so if you can't find something right away, don't worry - all you lose is the additional 'time bonus')

When will the TH start and how do you post screenshots.

[img*] the url of the image [/*img]

So it should look like this:

[*img]http://static.howrse.com.s3.amazonaws.com/Account/28090775.png[/img*]

When the *'s are removed - you'll see the image;

As for Promotion start times for anyone who is wondering:

Click to display
The Great Challenge will start next week on the 29th.

The Treasure Hunt will probably start sometime after the Great Challenge (or shortly before it ends) as testing for the Treasure Hunt ends on the 6th of August...and promotions usually start within a few days to a week after testing ends (allows a little more time for bugs to be sorted out)

Whenever a breeder/team reaches this level. The GP level of horses is not something that is controlled by Howrse (unless you want to count the base programming that says Riding Horse, Draft, Pony, Unicorn, Winged Unicorn, and Pegasus GP goes up with each generation - Donkey GP goes down).

Though given the current best horses on the game - I'd say probably by the end of the year if not sooner...But of course, all we can do is just wait and see

Okay, one final 'spoiler' from me tonight in regards to the T_ H_

Click to display
Earlier on, I posted images (in French) showing where everything was. Well, I now have the English version made show just what and where everything is.
A few notes about these before I post them:

1. You can only 'clear' an item if it currently shows on your list *so you can't clear the Cobra until you list says Cobra*

2. The Clue only shows up once you hit a target point value. Based on my experience - the values seem to be around the following levels:
Scene 1 = 41,000 *Final prize at 42,000 points*
Scene 2 = 50,000 *Final prize at 54,000 points*
Scene 3 = 60,000 *Final prize at 66,000 points*
Scene 4 = 66,000 *Final prize at 78,000 points*
Scene 5 = 75,000 *Final prize at 90,000 points*

3. Some items will differ in how they look from scene to scene (ex. in one scene, the Vase is blue - in others, it's red - but still easily identifiable as a Vase)

4. All Items are in the same places for everyone and everyone has to find the same things (just not in the same order - so you might start by needing to find the Vase, Chest, Cobra, and Gemstones...I might start with Pick axe, Cobra, Monkey, and Chest)

The notes aside - here's the 'Cheat Sheet' (I recommend memorizing what and where things are so that you can make sure you find items fast enough to get the additional time bonus):

Scene 1

*Note, at present time on testing - Canteen is listed as 'Small Gourd' - however, it was stated that when this event went live that the name would be changed to Canteen

Scene 2

Scene 3

Scene 4

Scene 5

*It is currently unknown if Ancient Arch (the Chest) is a mistake on the programmers part, or if the item is supposed to have a different name.

*Scene 5 is also the only scene where instead of being listed as CLUE - the final item has an actual name - it is unknown if this will change once the event goes live

If anything changes between now and the event going live - I will do my best to update these images/post changes.

And one final treat - this is the final pop-up you will see after getting all 5 'clues':

*At present time, it is unknown if extra prizes means unlisted gifts or if it refers to gifts you have not yet gotten (for example - the Clues showed up between 1,000 to 15,000 points away from the final prize for each level depending on which scene you were on)

Does anyone know what some of the missions will be on the GC just so I can be prepared?

As a matter of fact - I did compile a small list:

Click to display

X indicates the amount needed may be different for you

Remove a Unicorn's Horn
Remove a Pegasus' Wings
Give a Mash to a horse between the ages of X to Y
Purchase Fertilizer at the store
Groom a Donkey
Reach a reserve ending in XX
Find X aging points when your horses wake up
Place a horse in a *insert color* Helios' Ray
Give a *insert color* ear bonnet to a horse
Win a *insert competition type*
Be congratulated X times
Win 1 equus in a competition
Donate X equus to Ow

And my personal all-time favorite objective for any event with objectives:
Remove the Water of Youth from a horse default smiley <:o)

Basically - it seems they brought back all the old objectives from the old Great Challenge, and added in a handful of new ones.

It's like a token that you use each time you play a scene. So if you have one, you can play the scene once, if you have two, you can play it twice, and so on.

About new breed and KWPN

Click to display

I competed a foundation KWPN and foundation Selle Francais against each other three times, both with a total of 433.50 skills, same age, same bonuses. Selle Francais beat KWPN every time.

Whether the same would happen with high GP horses is a different matter, though.

Testing foundies doesn't really show much.
For example, an Aussie pony could beat a KWPN at foundies level but as soon as they get higher their low dressage means they can't even dream of touching KWPNs in a SJ comp.

The amount that breeds develop over time is incredible; what needs to be checked is which breed wins at 1000, 2000, and even 4000 GP before any decisions can be made on which is better

The GC will have the objective to remove a WoY from a horse. Is there any chance I can remove it for my divine ruby?

You can't remove BM Items from Divines.
