As of right now, I don't think we know. As ShorahNagi said, Howrse has been throwing a few curve balls, since they didn't know Xanthos would be in HOPs.

Also, Isis is a Egyptian Goddess, and ISIS is a terrorist group.

Legendary horses are extraordinary and heroic horses. There are 5 of them. Each horse comes from a different country and has a specific temperament.

You get a legendary horse when you give 5 pieces of legendary tack to one of your horses. That horse's skills are then doubled.
When your horse transforms into a legendary horse, you also receive one of the points of the Star of immortal power. Complete the star in order to activate its power!
Legendary horses cannot die, be sold or appear in rankings. They cannot

breed,
be customized,
enter Grand Prix events
age manually.

They do not count towards the prestige of the equestrian center where they are boarded. Once a day they can enter competitions open to all horses, as well as competitions for divine, wild and legendary horses provided they have enough energy to do so.

I dont understand how we are supposed to get the tack for the legendary even though I am on the test server and it is very repetitive

A heads up for anyone wanting to know whether this will be an expensive promo.

So far on the test site I have spent 50 passes, which got me 150 hourglasses. Another player calculated it would take approx' 280 hourglasses to complete the promo. So that's going to work out at around 70-90 passes to complete. (I am assuming there will be a HoP or TC sale at some point to win extra hourglasses). You get upto 8 free hourglasses per day. If you only used these and did not buy extra with passes, you would only get to the 2nd scene. (there are 5 in total)

This promo is probably one of the worst for non pass buyers. For me personally, there are only 4 or 5 valuable gifts including the new breed. The rest are mostly 1 pass BMIs, APs, equus and EC resources. Aside from that, it is very repetitive and I was bored after the first 5 minutes default smiley :'(

This is my opinion. I am sure there are plenty of players who will really enjoy this promo. It is very different to the promos we have seen in the past, but I don't think it is worth spending that many passes.

Does anyone know if Xanthos will be the only divine offered in the TC during the water balloon promo? I remember last time they offered him in the TC they also offered Balios and Croesus. If they're going to do that again I'd prefer to save my TCs for later, but if they're not, I'd like to try for a Xanthos now.

At present time - that is unknown (Xanthos was a curveball no one knew about just like the recent Employees in HOPs deal)

it's possible they will - but at present time, that is unknown.

Again, we have another unknown;

Click to display
Though my guess is that it will be after or very close to the end of the Great Challenge, just so that there's less going on and people have more time to learn about the Legendary Horses.

Given that testing doesn't end until August 6th - and the Great Challenge is due to start the 29th...I'd say it is more likely that it will happen after.

Do you mean for the current promo we are testing? Or for the GC - either way:

Click to display
For Altair - his tack will be found in the Golden Fleece once the Lottery starts from the Great Challenge.

For Amira - you need to reach a certain amount of points in each scene (seems to be between 1,000 to 5,000 points of the top prize for that scene) for the Clue to appear. Once the clue appears in your search - clicking on it will give you the tack item, and allow you to access the next scene (So in order to get Amira from the promotion - you need to complete all 5 scenes).

@estellestar4,

Hourglasses are another word for Timers - these are what allow you to play the Treasure Hunt promotion.

You can earn up to 8 of them a day by logging in, winning comps, and grooming horses. You can purchase additional ones (2 Timers for 1 pass) to give yourself more hunts each day.

Star of Immortal Power?

Yes, here's all the information on it:

Click to display
You get 1 piece for each Legendary Horse
You only get each piece once from each Legendary Horse (so getting two Altair will only give you 1 piece of the star)
You will need to collect all 5 Legendary Horses to complete the Star

Once you have all 5 pieces - you can activate the Star. As stated by MeOw on Preprod in regards to it:

Upon activating the Star of Immortal Power:

► All horses owned by the player will receive the bonus of +10 in each skill.
► The Star can only be activated once.
► The bonus does not stack - For instance, if you purchase a horse that already has the bonus, then activate your own bonus, the bonus will not stack on the horse you purchased.
► Any horses acquired after the bonus is activated do not receive the star bonus.

Cheers,
MeOw

So basically - it's a ONE TIME super bonus you can give to all your horses. So you can decide if you want to use it right away, or wait until you have better horses you want to use it on, etc. *As it seems there is no time limit to its use once its complete*

i know i stopped on level 3
i think they should at least give you the prizes on the previous levels, even if you stopped
Concerning A_ promo

Click to display
So it was said that without using passes and stuff people will only get as far as about the second scene. So if someone does get only that far but they manage to get the first piece of tack...what do they do with it? Is there a way to get rid of it or will we basically have a useless piece of tack just sitting around? Thanks!

You can still put it on a horse - so you could just have a horse with one or two pieces of the tack rather than all of it. It saves just having it sat in your inventorydefault smiley :)

Well,
Click to display
You can still give the tack to a horse *it will remain on them forever* and still use the horse as normal (they only lose the ability to breed and the like once they transform fully*.

As for getting the missing pieces - it was stated that there would be other ways in the future to get missing tack (though we don't know what those methods would be - it could be found in HOPs, could be bought directly from the Black Market, etc).

Also, in regards to the T_ H_ promotion...While this might not be accurate - I've crunched some numbers and have come up with *in my opinion* a much more reasonable calculation on Pass usage and how far one can get.

*Warning: Again, I do NOT guarantee that all numbers and information within this post is correct. I also do not claim to be a Math genius or anything of the sort!

Click to display
By my calculations, if a player gets the Max. score allowed per hunt - they can make it as far as the 4th prize for Scene 3. To fully complete *that is, get all the pieces of tack to get Amira* the Promotion at present time - a player will need to use around 60 Passes *Please note, this does NOT give you all the prizes for each scene*

If you are wondering how I got this conclusion - here's the Math:

8 Timers per day *4 from logging in, 2 from grooming horses, 2 from winning comps*
14 days long
112 Timers total for the promotion

Max. score per Timer = 1195
Max. score per Day = 9560 (8 timers x 1195 points)
Max. score over all = 133,840

Points needed to get the Clue for each scene:

*While there seems to be some percentage - the numbers I am using are the level where they showed up for me (I've rounded the numbers):

Scene 1 = 41,000 *Final prize at 42,000 points*
Scene 2 = 50,000 *Final prize at 54,000 points*
Scene 3 = 60,000 *Final prize at 66,000 points*
Scene 4 = 72,000+ *Final prize at 78,000 points*
Scene 5 = 85,000+ *Final prize at 90,000 points*
+I have not done scene 4 or 5 yet, so these numbers might be wrong - but I chose them based on my experience with the other 3 scenes (that being the clue seems to show up when you are within 4,000 to 6,000 points *except scene 1*)

Now lets crunch some numbers:

Scene 1 = 41,000 / 1195 = 36 timers *43,020 points (this is technically one more timer than you need - but it will give you 4 additional ones as it hits the Final prize level)

80 Timers remaining (76 free timers + 4 prize timers)

Scene 2 = 50,000 / 1195 = 42 timers *50,190 points*

38 Timers remaining

Scene 3 = 60,000 / 1195 = 51 timers *60,945 points*

However, you can see that we only have 38 timers remaining...which gives us enough points to reach the fourth prize for scene 3 - and nothing beyond it. That's 23 timers that we now need to make up using Passes.

Timers are sold at the following rates:

1 pass = 2 timers
3 pass = 6 timers
5 pass = 12 timers
10 pass = 25 timers
20 pass = 55 timers
50 pass = 150 timers

Best Price for 23 Timers = 10 Passes (gets us 25, so we get 2 extra hunts)

This completes scene 3 - now to complete scenes 4 and 5:

Scene 4 = 72,000 / 1195 = 61 Timers *72,895 points*
+Note, scene 4 has a prize of 3 timers

Scene 5 = 85,000 / 1195 = 72 Timers *86,040 points*

Total Pass Bought Timers needed: 130 *3 are gotten from scene 4*

Total Passes needed to complete Scenes 4 and 5: 50 Passes *best to buy the 150 timer pack as you get extras you can then use to get additional prizes if you do not yet have enough points to hit the final prize for a scene*

Total Passes needed to complete the promotion: 60

I find this number to be a lot more reasonable than the 150+ that people were getting at first.

Please keep in mind that this does NOT inclue the possibility of getting double Timers for Passes, or there being other ways to get Timers (Ex. opening a Horn of Plenty). This also is based solely on MY experience with this promotion so far, so I do not guarantee that the point values I mentioned finding the clues at are 100% accurate! This also does not take into account the chance that point values might change on how many points it takes to complete a scene.
