I don't really mind the promos either. I used to hate them but I eventually got used to it. I don't spend buy passes on principal because of them though. The way I see it the value of the prizes and Divines are decreasing while the cost to win increases. And not because these things are more common, I've stopped caring about that long ago, but because you may spend 50 passes to get a Divine that does very little and only pick up 2 or 3 useful BMs on the way. Not really good value for money in my opinion, and shows how much this is all about the money and little about the players.
Also to those who keep saying to simply not participate in promos if you don't like them, its not always that simple. Even if you ignore the promotions existence you are still effected by them because they suck up so many passes and equus people have less to spend on things like horse purchases. You can work hard and still struggle to sell a top notch horse for a reasonable price, which then pressures you towards having to buy passes as well.

Not saying I hate the promos or anything. As a matter of fact selling my prizes funds my new obsession of RC collecting. But I just want to put it out there that I would be buying passes to put in other parts of the game but I don't want to give them my money when they are trying to squeeze it out out us in promos. I know they need money to run the game, but the game used to get along fine with a lot less and it just seems a tad greedy to me.

Perhaps they'll create an event without pass usage available; everyone would be made-- for the most part-- equal. (at least in some way)

UBI-Howrse create a free promo... don't hold your breath, about as close as you can come to free are the snowball ones where all you do is throw snowballs and catch themdefault smiley xddefault smiley xd

I think that's an excellent idea - it doesn't have to be every promo but one where everyone is equal would certainly be interesting default smiley :p

Because we're actually guaranteed to get something and be happy with itdefault smiley (lol) No chance of spending 50 passes and still missing out. Rcs are also less common... and some can actually be worth more than Divines. So its pretty much a win-win-win situationdefault smiley <:o)

About the GC/lottery

I really didn't like the gift handout during the lottery. It seems like good prizes have gotten more rare to get. Even with 400 tickets, the best prize I got, and I got this every time with high ticket numbers, was a Harmony Pack. Then tack and equus and food, maybe the occasional WOY or Medusas Blood. I have an average of 15 tickets per lottery by just buying and receiving from friends. Hopefully I get lucky then since I didn't have much luck on prepod with 80 tickets even.

Strange but true, I once won 5 passes from a lottery that I did not participate in at all. Life in the real world was too crazy busy to allow me time for games, so I was forced to abandon Howrse for a while. When I logged off, I had no passes on my account. When I returned almost three months later, I had 5 passes. When I looked at my pass history to know where they came from, it said that I had won them as a prize. Further research revealed that a lottery had come and gone while I was away, and one of the top prizes was 5 passes. A friend must have sent me a winning ticket! Thank you, to everyone who sent me tickets during that lottery, even though I was offline for the whole thing.

In other words, as with any lottery, it really does just come down to pure, blind luck!

Does anyone know if any other Divines will be in the sales after the Midas promo ends? I don't particularly like Midas and I'm waiting to spend some passes on Divines I like.

Exactly! I know I can't sell a valuable horse for passes when it there is a promo going on that you can get extra rolls, turns, etc.

Will there be any more divines in reserved sales after midas?

We don't know.
No one knew that Midas is going to be in the reserved sales either.

Well something escapes me!
Nowhere I read that will be released in Midas sales reserved. Reconciled with the fact that no one said anything but please tell me if there will be other divine of reserved sales?
Thanks in advance!default smiley (h)
Small reminder folks - this topic is intended for the discussion of Spoilers. As such, please keep all non-Spoiler related discussions to a minimum.

Also for those commenting on the lack of notice about the two current events (Employees and Midas) - sometimes Howrse comes up with little ideas that we don't test due to them being minor enough to where they can put them in with no testing required.

To get back on track with the subject of Spoilers - some small information that has come from Preprod in regards to the L_ H_ :

Click to display
The 'Coats for the Mongolian Horse' trophy has been removed - it was confirmed that this was a glitch relating to Altair.

There is still a page in the directories for this breed - but it also seems to be related to Altair (I know the techs and Admins are looking into this as well.

And also, there is one other possibility I've realized in regards to Divines and Reserved Sales:

Click to display
Recently, with any sort of UFO throwing event...whatever Divine is being offered as a prize is also offered via some other means.

Because the Prehistoric Divines are being offered for the Water Balloon Fight - the chance is high that they will also be offered by another means - probably a Reserved Sale (as I recall this happening with Dew I believe it was).

So what's the next event that's going to happen?

The next confirmed event will be;

The Water Balloon Fight - after (or possibly running side by side with each other) - we'll see a return of the Great Challenge. The Fight will probably start either Monday or Tuesday given how promotions usually run and will last for about a week.

Unconfirmed is the possibility of a Sale or some other event to get the Prehistoric Divines (Due to them being offered in the Water Balloon Fight, and Divines offered in UFO events tend to also be offered by other means so that more than one person gets them.

Via a Reserved Sales event - no

Via other methods (ex. Promotions, in Titan's Challenges, etc) - yes.

It was stated at the time of the Sales that:

By Ow, 17th September 2014 10:48:52

It's the last time we offer them in the reserved sales. They are still in the TCs for instance or may come in contests but that means very limited amounts and little choice on which one you get.

All we can do is wait and see.

I know they'll never be in the reserved sales, as each set coming out said they would never again be offered that way.

But we haven't really seen the sets offered another way. The Gems are always in the TC and the Winds had their clover lottery, but The solars have only been offered in their original promotions (when I wasn't registered), in the reserved sales (where I missed two stupidly) and in the holiday packs which have to be bought with real money, not in game passes. (please correct me if I forgot one but I don't think so.)

I'd certainly be willing to spend a TON of passes to obtain the few I'm missing to complete a collection and I'm sure others would too!

The clover lottery when you could choose which wind divine you wanted was a *great* idea and I would absolutely love to see that one or something similar again default smiley (7)

are the snowball fight and the GC supposed to both start on monday and be on top of each other? Or are they going to be doled out one at at time?
