I don't recall the name of the first horse I ever rode since I was only 7 and I was just baggage at the time. However, the first one I rode on my own was Specks. He was an Appaloosa just over 14 hands so pony sized but not a pony. Then I finally got my own horse, Buttons. She was a dun half morgan, half quarterhorse. I had her for 3 years before my dad sold her when we moved.

My 1st horse was gruella-mini named Smokey. I was 5 months old. Started riding with no lead on my own when 2 1/2. I won my 1st classes on him when I was 3 years old in walk/trot and 13 and under western pleasure.

The first horse I ever rode was named Buffy. She was a piebald cob, and such a sweet, patient girl that taught so many people to ride. I saw her again after many years, and she recognised me (I lived next door to the EC, and would feed her carrots over the fence every day), and came trotting over. I haven't been able to go to my child hood home in over 5 years, due to high school, and then COVID-19 travel restrictions. I really hope she's still there when I go back. She was worth her weight in gold default smiley (l)
