you do realize that you don't have to donate. you can get the same points by entering comps, training, rides, etc. stuff that won't cost horses.

That takes too much time. Donating horses only take 5 clicks.

A matter of perspective. It costs me about 10 mins in total to up 120 points from competitions only. So no, it doesn't take too much time. Not to everyone.

The beauty of getting the points from comps is that if you choose your horses carefully you can go for their wins for blupping, add to their skills and get the equus from the comps as well. It doesn't take long but its all useful time spent

I have a bazillion divines I have to work daily, and I get the points from their usual comp entries.

I'm rather tired of the Great Challenge, but I do appreciate I can get the horseshoes during my personal dailies. Grant it, the auto-comp definitely helps.

If you don't have VIP it can take a while, I always struggle to get the 100 points because entering 100 comps is a slog. Sometimes I just end up bailing and not maxing out the meter, so I can understand donating if you're strapped for time.

you can use autocomp on mobile as a non-VIP or pegasus player as well!

Nope, now on mobile, the auto comp is gone, for me at least…

You have to tap the little cog wheel above the comp options to activate it. But it is available for non-VIPs on mobile

Looks like I’ll be able to complete the great challenge tomorrow I bought the key this time around and I’m excited to get the new Starry Aura. Now gotta find a good horse to put it on…
I don’t love the great challenge event but I don’t hate it either. It’s an easy way to collect good BM items. I’m not a fan of the next phase of the event with the water balloon fight… seems impossible to get a high level ranking… I’ll just take whatever I can get from it and not spend any eqqus.

I look at black market and which event gives you 25 points if you win. Mine today was bonus and tried to complete two horses tack sets knight tack and dragon samurai

All done. Honestly, I forgot about it the majority of the time because of the lack of a goal, but I still quite like the challenge. The scale is a great prize to get for free.

Still wish they'd swap out the "enter the grand prix" for something else just over the weekend

What exactly does the starry aura give you. Do you actually get a divine horse or just one hundred points n 5 days

You do not get a Divine, just 1000 fragments spread over 25-fragment intervals (every 5 days). The fragments are evenly distributed for the whole series, so you will not fill the meter or win a Divine unless you're very close to having a full meter for one already, but you *do* get to permanently keep the fragments.

Basically it gives you a discount on every Divine in the series.

Just finished, some days were much faster than others. Happy with the prizes for the most part.

Finished yesterday. Got the key because I thought the BM items were worth it (and because I always get the key). So being able to get 120 shoes a day is helpful. I got this mostly from my daily activities.

I've finished. No key. About 95% of my horseshoes came from doing comps which I would do anyway so no real effort required.

could anyone explain to me what the battle is exactly? I read the second post by Hiram not to go for the rank prizes, but as I don’t remember how this second part of the event works I don’t understand what the advice means, haha

You catch UFOs with e certain value (best are BMIs), and you decide to either keep the reward for yourself, or throw them at someone else; trowing the UFO at someone else is giving you points for the ranking. According to your ranking, at the end of the UFO battle you receive a gift (gifts).

All this is explained in current topic, in section "Part 2: The Water Battle", if you care to read it. What players mean is that it will cost you quite a lot of equus if you try to score a higher rank, because you can exchange a UFO you caught if you decide it's not that valuable (the more value the UFO has, the more points you will receive if you throw it away) and this requires you to pay equus. The catch here is, the new value could be (and very often is) less than the one you originally had in the UFO. Usually only players with a substantial equus reserve can rank higher in the battle events, simply because they can afford exchanging the UFO value as many times as they want until they get a value that suits their needs for higher points gained.

please note with the water battle. if you aren't going to get all the balloons or don't have a large fortune to spend on trading you are NOT going to get top prizes in the ranks. trust me NO way NO how. don't even bother trying. best you will do is bottom 1 or 2 prizes. Keep everything you get or do a few trades to get slightly better prizes then keep it. if you try for the rank prizes the stuff you give up will be worth way more than what you get.
