This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

On another note, has anyone else noticed that older RCs are slowly dropping uses? I like to keep the # of copies updated on my horses' page, and every week I'll have a few dozen that have dropped at least one use. I wonder if players are quitting, if Howrse is doing some smaller account clear outs, or what.

Yeah, we've been talking about it. Los of accounts got deleted so it lowered the uses dramatically on a lot of the older coats.

Yeah I didn't mean the November account wipe, just that every week I have random coats that will drop a use or two, like there's still accounts actively being removed.

I noticed that as well. Maybe they activated account deletion on older accounts or round the board, so that they don't have to manually do it any more. Before, they would just prune off the newest inactive accounts. Probably Howrse doesn't wanna risk getting rid of all inactive accounts because they would probably only have maybe 20,000 accounts left. Makes them look very small time. Plus people do come back, and are less likely to if they have to all start over. Right now they have less then 150k accounts. I remember when it was 2.2 million. And there could have been a lot more, I only started paying attention a few years into my game. I started late 2007.

Haven't posted in a while, but thought I would jump in. My dad's old account got deleted, and as far as I know he had logged in within the past year or two. I know there have been times when he had only logged in once a year or every other year and it wasn't deleted, so I definitely think they were trying to clear up some space. I will say though, it was nice to find so many pre CS coats retired, although I was bummed I did not get all the ones I had wanted before they retired. Lesson learned default smiley (8)

Just wondering why you thought you'd never get a copy, as it's a very recent retiree? Or are you referring to a price you'd be willing to pay.

doesnt your account get deleted automatically after 180 days of inactivity like it says in the manual?
"Please note that for data protection purposes, accounts that are inactive for more than 180 days will be deleted automatically."
when i started playing on the hebrew server in 2015 there was a rumor that if you bought enough passes your account would never get deleted but the team denied it

No one is completely sure, there was a chain of thought that the script use to run starting with the newest abandoned accounts and work backwards until it cleared the desired amount of space, and that was why there were accounts still about that had 3000 days plus inactivity - ( I knew one). These accounts got wiped this time around.

The pass thing has always been a rumour too, but plenty of people have come forward saying they have bought passes but had their accounts deleted so again no one really knows.

I have had emails saying my accounts on the regional servers were to be deleted recently, and prompting me to log in but i can't say how long it was prior since i last logged into them - into months though!

Anyhow we are getting somewhat off topic now...

Price was a big part of it, plus I couldn't find a copy in the sales at all. Epica was being collected by a player who had 20ish copies, so I assumed they were all being picked up quickly. However they did recently start listing their copies for sale default smiley (lol)



That would be my guess too, I wish we could actually see how many accounts have been active in the past few months or so. It's a really sobering fact to see Howrse accounts from from 2.2m down to 150k.

I just went through 19 pages of friends...that aren't really my friends..default smiley (lol) None of them were more then 1,100 days off the game, but plenty around that many days since they logged in.

So anyways, I found a coat in sales I didn't have, so I bought it! I was so excited it didn't get snatched up by someone else! I don't think I've added an old coat to my collection for over a year. It's a uni coat called Black Fareed. 52 copies left on a uni born in 2008. Very pleased!

I suggest you get your ducks in a row before work. Then right around release time go into bathroom with ipad. If anyone tries to divert you tell them you have diarrhea. default smiley xd

I feel this is the most related topic to ask this question, I read that before the early release (for the players that have that) there’s a place to go to see the coats before the release? Can someone confirm if this is accurate or not? If so, where would I need to go to see the coats prior to the release?

Or just give me the whole run down default smiley (lol) I’m pretty bad with the wording of things

Bulgarian, Russian and Israeli (maybe some other I don’t know about).
I’m also reasonably sure the release there is early only during autumn/winter, as I seem to remember that when we had daylight savings time the release time would be the same as most of the European servers, but don’t quote me on that. default smiley xd
