Ohhh, okay I see. So if I have the coat on a riding horse uni, and it gets categorized as a pony uni, does that mean mine's "wrong"?

I just saw the line after posting lol. I will give it a try next time. Actually, I did see people quoting messages by removing the 'quoted parts', but I don't know how they managed to do so.

Re the winged uni: looks like Hope and Loyalty have tried to put it on their entire release for the Prix today! Loads of Knabs...
As for category: for those of us who like to have coat and wearer matching it would be nice if the new category matched too. Having said that, I suppose any that are actually on Fjords (or other ponies) will end up being more valuable as they'll be 'glitch' coats? I missed it. It wasn't totally to my taste (good coat, just not me) so I can live with that. Though if I suddenly come into some money I'd be tempted to get it as either a future glitch or a trail skiller! It does have some spots and I like Knabs...

I am not sure about how exactly it will work. But I guess nothing really matters with the 'wrong categorization' except that you can't get a 'fjord-like' riding horse coat on a fjord pony. Maybe you can go to the Spoiler Zone and ask the testers about the experience.

Ok, correcting myself: had a look at those knabs, and they seem to be old, unsold skillers rather than today's release. Still, looks like some fast clicking was involved!

I was gonna say, it looks like one person got about 6 copies of that winged uni? I wish I was that fast! I would have liked a second copy of it

Managed to get a copy of the unicorn and winged unicorn. Havent been present for a release in over a year, so happy to add to my collection

Here's an example, which may help. Right now, I have the Pegasus RC, Хранитель Земли by fray, on this Shetland Pegasus, whose species is currently just "Pegasus". On preprod, that same Shetland's species is now a "Pony Pegasus." However, it's RC is now classed as a "Riding Pegasus" because a majority of "Riding Pegasus" are wearing the coat. The only thing that could get confusing with this is looking for a horse's in the sales with RCs, because the species of the horse may no longer match the coat, so you can't count on a species search to help you find the coat you're looking for. This isn't technically a new issue though, because you can already have the "wrong species coat" on your horse. I've bred a few comp horses that I wanted Riding or Pony coats for, but still wanted the Pegasus bonus. So I put the GA on first, and then applied the Medusa's Blood. Here's an example for that. The horse is listed as a Pegasus, but the RC, Golden Spirit, is actually a Riding Horse. Interestingly, there are a few older PreCS coats whose actual graphic does not match the coat's species. There's one coat that is definitely a Pegasus image (it has large wings), but it was submitted and accepted as a Riding Horse. In summary, unless you are someone that likes to match coats to the species of your horse, then you likely won't mind the discrepancies

First a question: are the coat use numbers reflective of all country servers or just this server?
Second a discussion point: I always thought that one of the appeals of RC collecting was that because of their rarity. It seems to me that many of these RCs get used more than the regular coats, i.e. there might be a RC with 600 uses, but a regular coat with only 2. Wouldn't the regular coat be more rare? Discuss.

For the first question, i'm not too sure. I would imagine it's across all servers, because it'd get a bit confusing if the same coat was listed as two different species on different servers. Although, I just checked the directories on preprod, and there are no listed Pegasus Pony, unicorn pony or winged unicorn pony coats at all. I thought there were at least a few pages of Pegasus Pony coats during the last session, but maybe I'm mistaken. For the second question, I'd say a RC with 803 copies, like Gothic, is still worth more than an unlimited coat with only 2 copies, because that currently 2 copy coat is unlimited. You can still apply it anytime you want it. Whereas, you have to buy that RC if you want it, and that's even if you ever see it in the sales to be able to buy it.

I mean regardless of species. If a coat has say 60 uses, is that 60 uses just on International or is it 60 uses on all versions of the game? I.e. can a coat be retired here, but on say the Canada version still be available?

Yes, the copy numbers are specific to each server. There are tons of limited coats that are still GAs on the smaller servers, but they've long since retired on this server because there are more active players to apply them.

I am annoyed with the 100 use coats having 101 uses, I am so close to getting the next trophy but don't have it because a couple 100 use coats don't count

Same! I was 2 off of the 25 coat one and I managed to only get 2 coats from this release -- but both of which had 101 uses. I had to buy the Totentanz from the sales.

After days of struggling, I added these to my collection. I really need to save my passes now.

Is there a way to see what coats have retired by most recent retirement? I can only see a way to sort by date of creation. As we know, older coats retire sometimes before "newer" coats. I noticed that the creation directories show 4324 retired coats. I think yesterday it was 4317. I'd like to know what ones retired!

The number went up to 4323 on 27 March update. The extra 6 were releases on 26 March (The new 100 use coats and two of the 200 ones - then the last 200 new release retired a couple of days later bringing the total to2324
