I'm honestly baffled as to why they've made it so special coats you purchase in sales don't count towards trophies. Is that a permanent change or something they're planning on fixing at some point? Why would they want to drive the game's economy into the ground this way?

100% agree with you. They are literally tanking the Howrse economy in EVERY way with all of these trophy updates devaluing everything

That was my point. New, casual players with bright eyes and bushy tails that buy passes, LEAVE and then 6 months later make another account because theirs was deleted and buy 10 more passes, those are more likely to get Howrse money. default smiley :)

I guess that's true in the short term, but I hope those quick injections of cash are worth it once the long standing players who actually play the game leave due to the pandering to mobile design and the new players. If I went onto a game and I saw that a lot of players left or became more inactive because of the devs I wouldn't spend a penny.

How is that possible? They can track 500k of poo and new applications of coats but not historical apples and rays?

Oh yes, I never said it was valid in the long term.
Most games that adopt this strategy open a new server every 4 days. After a while, most players except the whales leave, and move on to another new server (that they conveniently opened just now!).
This is not going to last, of course, but it helps paying the big U to keep afloat.

I honestly have no clue. That's what they said, they didn't elaborate more (unless they did on the French preprod, which I have no access to, I just browse the public forums).

I don't know if this is a point they're willing to negotiate on, though.

A trophy would be a compromise, since it's just applying the Ray, vs. keeping pictures of them.

Which is odd, because there are more Retired Coats than there are landscapes (and we know the limited coat numbers explode with each releasedefault smiley (lol)), and we have Collections for the RCs. Unless the landscapes somehow take up more data space?

Although it could be the amount of landscapes *plus* RCs in the Collections that's the problem, which makes more sense. So they chose to keep that which they thought we'd prefer

It's just crazy to me that the old trophies had exactly that - levels for how many GAs/RGAs you owned, it's not a new thing really.

It's also just really baffling to me watching this whole event go down. You have games like Stardew Valley where the main dev actually listens to players and their feedback, improves the game based on it, and is rewarded by a always growing user base and thousands of people loyal to his brand and own multiple copies of the game across all platforms. Yet here with an certainly bigger team, they can't even fix something as simple as lag. Just worlds apart in how each treats the players
I wonder what this will do to coat release, 100 copies were partly popular because of the trophy, but now that is gone

I am just so baffled by some choices here, as well.

A friend found a trick to sort of do that; going to try to describe it. As soon as you click on the button (care, etc), immediately click in the yellow area/strip outside of the care, feed, etc boxes... so the outside of the page. It very much speeds up the rate at which you can get through each Dragon default smiley ;)

Oh yeah, and also with the Dragon thing... when you've greyed out the final heart, refresh the page so the history updates.

Yes, I've been doing that since Blizzard came out.

Still doesn't help with the fact that I remove animations for medical reasons and migraines and they KEEP making me WATCH THEM.
It's not a matter of speed, it's a matter of "Hey this is really, really bad for me." And I tell them every time I go on preprod and they forget to deactivate animations on the current event and sparkles get in my eyes. If I play with no animations, it should mean no animations. That's it. default smiley :)

(caps is for emphasis of course)

I am so heartbroken over this trophy system! I am crying and crying... all of my work to be mashed together as if it were meaningless. The new rules are senseless! I love this game so much in my heart I wish that I could keep my trophies beautiful. This ugly new trophies are so bad! I like to watch my friends collect trophies. Now I cannot as they are all looking the same! The animations issue is so bad as well. Please devs listen to us and put it back, I am begging on the floor to you.

Also devs please remove Zonkies. They are so hideous and worthless. If you need more space in your game delete these monsters please. I love this game so much with my whole heart I only want it to be good again.

I don't suppose anyone thought to save the images of the old trophies before this happened?

Wish I had taken a screenshot of my old profile, but I literally didn't think I'd need to.

I'm really bummed out I didn't take an image of the trophy page itself, but I took this one of my profile (please ignore the horribly small amount of trophies haha)

And I just realized, with this new update the 15 year trophy is gone! default smiley :$

@jsniper Bless!

Looking at these, at the details and intricacies in comparison to the new medals, it makes it all the more qrotesque that they would replace and scrap them default smiley :$

Sooooo I got given a Tarpan as my first divine with this system….and I was super excited at first because helloooo, free divine, butttttt I’ve just realised Tarpan a total nightmare if you mass breed for rare coats instead of buying them!

I would NEVER have chosen to go for this divine normally if it was in luck items etc. as it means the coats of foals are more likely to follow the mare’s coat colour rather than it being up to random chance as normal.

I needed that random chance so I could use a farm full of cheap coloured mares to mass breed, thus producing a huge sample of random coats (including rare ones) to collect and sell. It’s a really good way to save money, fill out all the coat trophies and actually make money too, but now I have Tarpen who I CANNOT SELL.

Anyone else, or is this just me lol XD

I wouldn't worry about Tarpan's increased inheritance odds too much. In my experience the odds of getting the parents' coats aren't increased that much.

It seems more noticeable when you're using a parent with a more common coat, but that's probably because their percentage is quite high anyways

20 pages of complaints, it's got to be a record!

Please Please listen to us Howrse!

Re-instate the old trophy page as the 'collections'
Keep the new trophy page but adjust the requirements to make them more achievable

This change could actually become something very positive for the game, but please don't make it at the expense of years of players hard work and the removal of a much loved and successful feature of the game!

Oh, man. It was literally one of my favourite aspects of the game. default smiley :'(

I wish they had at least had the courtesy to give us a heads-up, or somehow save the progress, because trying to figure out which ones I have (had) is going to be a pain.

I just want the old system back.

Wish I took a screenshot of mine before it all went away default smiley :'( thanks for posting yours. Just the format of the page and the old trophies really brings back better feelings than what's there now

Do trophies only count very recent things? I’ve got a mare I bred in September. I’ve owned her her entire life, and she has 190 rosettes. And yet, I don’t have the trophy for winning 50 rosettes with the same horse, or the win 250 rosettes trophy (which I’m certain I should have, seeing as the 190 rosette mare isn’t even my best horse). Should I submit a ticket to Contact Us?
