trophy update is just disgusting

And as others have already mentioned, some of the diamond tiers are downright unattainable. I play casually. I'm in school, I work, and I have a social life -- all things that take priority. As a casual player, the old trophies were still attainable. I could breed/spend money until I got all the coats, breeds, species...etc.

Now? Unless I have EVERY single RC I don't have a chance of reaching 100%. IMO why bother?

I've been on this site just a hair over 13 years and to see all those years of work go down the drain is just sad - I bought two Ultimate Packs to get divines I needed to finish some sets. Now that has pretty much gone to waste.

have the admin posted since this disaster started or have the mods heard anything that hasn't been put out to the general public of the game.

I am aware that it is being monitored and is likely to be added to or tweaked. I have reported the problem with the inkwell coats but if there is anything else not working properly please let us know. Contact Us is still the best place for actual technical issues.

I also feel that if anyone has any idea to improve or add to what we have this forum is the best place to put those.

just had a thought on the possible why they did this disaster.
People have been asking for rewards for the trophies since they added trophies. Game realizes to give prizes this way for the way the trophies WERE they would have to give a LOT of prizes out. So to give people what they wanted in ONE way they had to completely change everything to not give people tons upon TONS of prizes.
IF you look at the responses people that aren't into collecting are happy with this cause they get TONS of honestly really good stuff. people into collecting hate it. so the game is getting mixed signals and go with making the people happy that is easiest.

They kinda don't though? None of the Divines are really useful for anything, the trophies are too hard to obtain for most players to get beyond Tiny (I think it's notable that NO ONE on the entire game has gotten past Etrian. These things are nigh-on unobtainable)

The rest is just cheapish BMIs you could buy in the store. The ONLY cool thing in that lot was the Athena's Medal, the rest is just??? I have Divines that give a Fertility Wand and a P. Stone every MONTH, it's not like these are wonderful incredibly rare prizes, and for the amount of effort to obtain them they're barely worth it. I'm not gonna be like "oooh, let me blow a whole bunch of passes on GAs and Divines so I can win a Fertility Wand" and I'm confused on why anyone would.

Plus I think the loss of revenue due to the collector market going away AND the devaluation of custom BMIs (and their Divines) would be more of a loss than a gain for everyone, even with the prizes.

I just noticed they did zero proofreading and got the name of their Divine series wrong. They're called Precious Metal horses but they wrote "Precious Mineral."

Not sure if it's a translation issue but like... MAYBE they could have double-checked that the English name was correct before LAUNCHING IT?

Are you talking about the trophy "find X mineral ores with your divines"? Because metal horses do find mineral ores, that is correct.

Ah of course not, that part is correct, it's the NEXT one that's wrong.
Their bad.

Let's be realistic their waiting for the angry players to calm down.
Once the next promo or event is launched, they expect us to calm down as always, and start spending RL $ on the next shiny divine.

The question remains if they have gone too far this time. How many have had enough and decide to move on?

Haven't posted much in the thread, but have read all the many pages of complaints.

Like many of you here, I have spend a lot of years, time, passes, RL $ and Ecuus on my stuff. I had fun working towards getting the next trophy.
Loved the simplicity of the icons AND how easy it was to see how much and WHAT was need to add one more to a trophy.
Not to mention AVOID the ones I neither like nor want.

Going to other players profiles, seeing what they focused or had completed, was both interesting and awe-inspiring. Now all we have are some useless icons

I stopped being part of the GP race years ago. I just do my own thing either solo or with a few friends. I go slow and enjoy collecting GA's, RC's Helios, all the breeds, breeding NIB's, lower GP's and much more.

I fail to see why it was needed to wreck one of the few features that are left here for me.
I fail to understand why my playstyle isn't good enough.

The new Trophies page makes me furious. All I see if I click that page, is howrse trying to force me to go for
- divnes I do not want,
- features that are impossible for me to reach even if I spend a years worth of RL $
- trophies that mean nothing to me (so why should I even try and complete them?)

Now all I see are huge % bars everywhere, numbers II, III etc etc... that explain nothing.

I appreciate that you want to offer more trophies for players that have other goals here. But wrecking it for so many of us in the process, is just BAD business howrse.
Offering me X BM, or some divine if I complete something is just a slap in my face.

Like some have already mentioned - I wish I could ask for a refund.

Nobodies gonna be calm. If I remember correctly the next event has zonkeys in it. I HATE zonkies. With like a burning passion.

If anything it makes me even more angrier because they're trying to force these useless divines on us. Everyone else notice that the divine trophies are all useful divines that everyone would want besides the zonkeys?
I'm not going out of my way to have one of those *things* on my account for a useless trophy that doesn't amount to much.

Wow. Boy I'm glad I didn't try too hard to get all the trophies. All those people who spent a fortune on Divines so could be on the top of the trophy list have every right to be mad. Personally I'm glad that I don't have to collect a bunch of useless or barely worth it divines just so I can get a trophy for getting the set. I see it all just goes toward the special horse trophy.
On the positive, I got a ton of prizes! I got a tarpan, but I already had a tarpan. Liked the falabella and all those p.stones and Athena's medals.

Obviously the retired coat trophy will have to change. Otherwise no one will get 100% because no one has all of the coats. I'm stuck at 94%. The layout isn't that easy to understand or very detailed. Overall, not an improvement... But loved getting random stuff!

I am not saying this to argue, but to give the other side of the story.
The prizes aren't useless. For those of us who are free and newer players, we can actually gain quite a bit.
For example: I personally suck at sales. Even when I have pets worth 1,000+ passes on great horses, I often can only sell them for 200-300 because this isn't a knack of mine.
So, my spending passes are primarily from objectives. From the rewards I got 2 tears, a fertility wand, and a P.stone. I'll exchange the wand for 2 A.arrows and the stone for 2 c.timers. This will pretty much outfit my next two foals. This saves me roughly 500p that I can now save toward a divine that will add to my game. And so on and so forth.
I know that doesn't help any of you with your choices of what you're going to do now, or make the anger any less, but I wanted to show that these aren't useless. For new( or returning players) and free players these sorts of things are an amazing help. So for those of you who have years old accounts or spend real money, please be a little more...understanding that what you snort at is sometimes treasure for someone else.

But why would they do something to cater to newer players at the expense of the older players that helped the game be what it is?

There's zero business sense being applied here.

Boy, am I relieved I chose not to buy those two extra Christmas Packs this year after all.

Boy, am I relieved I have other alternatives to put my focus and resources into.

I am not trying to explain why they have done what they have done, nor am I saying it was good or right or fair.

All I am saying is that what advanced players (specifically collectors in the majority of this case) call useless or valueless items is actually not reality for plenty of players. So please don't speak like it is.

I am merely completely perplexed as to why they would elect to effectively punish such a large, established portion of the player base.

The rewards being "treasure for someone else", whilst nice for them, helps me and the players that have been greatly affected exactly zero.

I like the new trophy system, and I am a collector. In fact, I'm probably among the biggest collectors on the game.

According to the rankings, I'm currently no.42 for GA coats and 93 for retired GAs.

I also collect all the divines, all the breeds and coat colours (100%), pets (99%), and anything else we have. I'm 71% of the way to having collected all the VAs, 78% of all Ow's Rays, and I collect all the special coats (100%), and well, pretty much everything.

I love how I can now see in a couple of clicks exactly what items I'm missing from various collection series.

Maybe it's because I'm autistic that I don't understand the desire/need to advertise on the profile page which specific collections have been completed – I dunno – I can't relate to that feeling.

I collect the stuff on Howrse because I enjoy collecting the stuff and, again probably because of my neurodiversity, I feel compelled to collect all the things that can be collected within one my special interests I like that I can now see it expressed in a percentage how close I am to completing different things or collections.

Long-winded way of saying I collect stuff for me only, I guess, and that I have a lot of fun doing it. I also like receiving usable rewards for completing various milestones.

Some changes I would suggest (besides what has been suggested above):

- When you hover over a trophy, it should give you an exact number rather than a %. Knowing I have won 95% of 200k comps is of no use to me. It's fairly impossible to know how many more comps I will need to win. At lease 10k I guess.

- Knowing exactly what trophies we have already won. I have three diamond trophies but which are they?

- An explanation for some of the more confusing trophies. Does Onyx's UFO count towards UFOs? What is a distinction in the grand prix? Maybe I am just dumb

I am a non pass buyer which means my opinion probably doesn't matter as much as I am not financially invested in this game but that's just what I was thinking.

I don't suppose anyone thought to save the images of the old trophies before this happened?

New players aren't the people funding this game. It's the older experienced players who are constantly purchases stuff.
Yeah you've got the occasional new player who purchases passes and whatnot but those are typically returning players who have lost their old accounts.

I've been playing this game on and off since, what? 2013? Honestly I can't even remember when I first started, I must've been 10 or so. I've clearly been an active player and I've even bought passes myself a few times and 2 packs, along with the hr long divine frag packs you can buy at random times. Thats more than 90% of players with less than 500 seniority have bought. (Not counting any returning players who rejoined)

Do you purchase any GA coats? Because with this update, if you buy a horse with a coat in sales, it will not count toward your trophy. It must be created by you.

Big congrats game devs for creating an update nobody wanted, not many people enjoy, and quite clearly caters towards a new audience and not the existing player base.

Can I just ask where the collection for iris coats has gone? Love all the oversights within this update.
