Do you purchase any GA coats? Because with this update, if you buy a horse with a coat in sales, it will not count toward your trophy. It must be created by you.

Mostly I have put the GAs on horses although there have been quite a few over the years that I've bought too

New players aren't the people funding this game. It's the older experienced players who are constantly purchases stuff.

Statistically this is not true, though.
Games make most of their money from the new players and microtransactions.
"Whales" are statistically much less as a revenue, despite being still significant.
HOWEVER, you have to reason that a seasoned player has an established game that will require fewer passes purchased, as opposed to a new player.

New players *statistically* come in droves and are changed like water in a river, purchase a few passes and leave. And a new drove comes in, ready to restart the cycle.

For new( or returning players) and free players these sorts of things are an amazing help.

I'm a "free player". Never spent any passes on the game. I still think this is a garbage update and the few BMIs and divines do not make up for that. Nor do they have much of an impact in the long run

I thought that once you got to 100 on the bar you got a good prize? Like a divine?

I just got A tears?

You get a cycle of 10 prizes. 9 prizes and then the 10th is a Divine.
The prizes and the Divines 'supposedly' get better each cycle.

It was confirmed that a Xanthos is hiding in there, but we don't know which cycle he's hiding in.

You cannot.
I quote from Calypsow from Equideow "We left the prizes a mystery to keep players anticipating the feeling of surprise". It's paraphrased from French, but in substance, they keep it a secret because they think it'll be more gratifying for us (?? I don't honestly agree but I guess it's a Choice™)

Oh wow thats poor game planning. So i Could be on level 1 or 9 and never know?

Whats the incentive to even complete the trophies then? You dont even know if you complete 1 really hard one what you will get?

I dont think they really thought this through, it seems like a thrown together half explained update.

I'm honestly baffled as to why they've made it so special coats you purchase in sales don't count towards trophies. Is that a permanent change or something they're planning on fixing at some point? Why would they want to drive the game's economy into the ground this way?

Respectfully, the horseshoe and clover requirements are ridiculous, we are going to be lucky to get one trophy for each if those are the kind of increases we can expect every time we have a great challenge.

I completely agree. If I cant sell my rare coats anymore why even bother to get more than one?

I got a useless Anne of Austria now. 4 days ago it was worth almost 1200 passes in the sales.

Now 600 and dropping.

Also all those RCs are now useless sitting in sales because they dont count. I am not waking up that early 100 times just to get a 100 or less RC the instant they come out.

But also some of these trophies are Insanely hard -

"win 100,000 comps"
my game is years old, I have over 3200 days. I have blupped more horses that I can remember and in all that time your telling me ive only won 50,000 comps?

My bar is halfway to 100,000 comps. Theres NO WAY that I played for this long and havent won 100k comps.

Some of my divines are close to 50mil in comp earnings.

Something doesnt smell right about these trophies.

Now? Unless I have EVERY single RC I don't have a chance of reaching 100%. IMO why bother?

I believe that's why RCs are a collection rather than a trophy - because owning every single one is an impossibility they can't have that as a meter point contributing trophy goal. Instead it's (supposedly) somehow contributing to non-trophy rankings.

I grow more irritated with this update. I have NO clue what I've already achieved in game. being 73% towards trophy number IV of doing 250 something doesn't tell me if the last milestone I hit was 249, 3 or some random number in between (ignore my wildly inaccurate maths skills please). If I don't know what I have already done, why do I care what I'm going to do in future?

Clicking on the special coats link in the associated trophy description just links to the collections page, where the vast majority of items there do not contribute to that specific trophy. At least give us the info we need to use this ridiculous system.

and the less said about the visual assault of the clip art medals the better.

Honestly, this whole thing is overwhelmingly unprofessional in myriad ways. Like a What Not To Do masterclass. But given this is Howrse and not my first rodeo with their tone deaf, bulldozing, inept updates, I don't know why I continue to be surprised every single time.

I could go on and on and on, but everyone else has it all covered default smiley xd

Could we get a separate notification toggle for Daily Objectives and Achievements?

I disabled my "Get alerts about your achievements" alert because I don't want tons of notifications about the new Trophies. However, this notification also applies to our Daily Objectives, as I didn't get an alert when I completed them today.

The Daily Objective alert is useful for me, but the Trophies is not

total up your points on your trophies and you can figure out where you are at.
each trophy type gives different points
diamond-80
gold-50
silver-30
bronze-20

take those numbers multiply them each by the number of each type of the trophy you have and you will see where you are at.

you get a prize every time you hit 100. that's what the reward bar is. like mine says 70/100. so when i get 30 more points i will get another prize. i have gotten 2270 points so far. these are my prizes so far:
athenas medal-3
pstone2
va-2
HOP-2
tears-2
Timer-3
heel-2
wand-2
bonus pack-2
Tarpan
Tiny

You can also check based on the divines you've won from collecting the rewards.

Which is easy enough at the start because the new Trophies only came in a couple of days ago. Not so much as we get further along, although we'll probably stall at some point as the objectives get more difficult.

Which still isn't the optimum solution as compared to having the level stated for us, but it's at least a way to tell for now.

Is there a drove of new players currently? I was under the assumption that the number of active players has been decreasing over the servers for several years, and several have been shut down. I can't imagine there's many new players joining if there are better games out there that don't have 20 pages of complaints.

Regardless of who currently has the majority of pass buyers, I still think it's a slap in the face for players who've been active for years being tossed aside for new players who might buy a few $10 here and there and then move on to the next game.
If we do not get a Collection for the Helios' Ray, could a Trophy be added for them?

The numbers from that would slightly help make up for the couple of dozen other trophies I lost with the update

Mine was a generalized point about "Browser games", not this one in particular, which has a 15 (!) years life shelf (incredible).

Also, my point was in no way meant to slight the effort and dedication of other players, but just a generalized standpoint for companies.
Long-standing players have an economy leg-up that new players just don't have. A player on another version has 37 Jades on their account. Thirty-seven. This player will never have to buy a single pass in their life, if they so wish.
I know another who bought 15 when they were released in Direct Sales. Fifteen!

That was my point. New, casual players with bright eyes and bushy tails that buy passes, LEAVE and then 6 months later make another account because theirs was deleted and buy 10 more passes, those are more likely to get Howrse money. default smiley :)

Calipsow said that Helios Ray and Golden Apples were too big to include in collections.
I don't know if this is a point they're willing to negotiate on, though.
