The kelpie is a supernatural water horse from Celtic folklore that is believed to haunt the rivers and lochs of Scotland and Ireland. The picture is "realistic" .
Ooh love the Kelpie! I wish Howrse had more creepy or Halloween horses like that. >~<

So changing it up might help a little. The idea in and of itself is awesome.

Yes it could make an epic divine.
Tweaking a little making it less scary so they younger players won't find it scary.

Everyone, Kelpie isn't coming to howrse. He was a divine tested on the French prepod but Ow confirmed he was removed from the game due to complaints regarding the graphics.
But what was he supposed to do?

I thought the Walkers were supposed to get their own. They look a little odd too me. I know they have this very significant stance.....but something is off....they kinda look like cartoon horses.

I thought so as well, but I suppose not. It's not too off, but I think it may be the style of it. Doesn't look too terrible to me.

Not too different from

Thanks for posting the pictures MoonRider.

No I don't think they look terrible per se either. I'm glad they decided to actually give us a genuine Walker stance horse, and not a generic coat.
I think I know what bothers me a little. It's a pretty good interpretation. But the body seems to be too short, and the front legs a little too short.

Here's me hoping for a slight adjustment in a future version.

Thanks for telling us. (=

Oh, those coats aren't too bad. Very pretty, actually.

Not fake default smiley :) But he won't be coming to the game
Yes, well, I'm sort of glad Kelpie's not coming to the game, at least not with that graphic... default smiley :o

the Fall divine is gorgeous, and very fun to play with. (I got to test for a few days). And from what I've gathered, Fall will be the next divine, with the 3 other seasons likely to follow sometime soon after. Fall gives you equus and Big Challenge tokens each day during the Fall week of the month.

The Big Challenge is a lot of fun too. It's pretty much just like a lot of the promos that assign us "tasks," such as "remove a Uni horn," or "Groom 15 horses," and things like that.

I always liked those promos, so a big default smiley (y) from me! default smiley ^)

The front legs on the new walker coat are definitely too short. It's like they tried to recreate the stance in the picture that someone posted, but didn't take into account that the horse is actually posed uphill. When walkers are posted in that stretched out, back-flattened stance, they don't really look that "uphill" unless they're wearing padded shoes.

Plus the angle on the back fetlocks is all kinds of wrong default smiley *-)

Guys, I think Kelpie is fake.
I found the image on multiple websites. One has not been updated since 2009. The other has not been edited since 2012.
You can also easily see the lines around "Kelpie" where it was cropped. The same blurriness is on the title box with the name and Divine symbol.
Also, it is -very- difficult to believe that the Howrse Team would even consider adding something that vicious to a family friendly game. It's not even the same drawing style as the other Divines on Howrse.

I am not convinced.

That's what I was trying to say... I knew the image was on multiple websites but I couldn't find a date on anything. Plus, it is badly cropped. I love the Kelpie myth but it really is not appropriate for Howrse.

Yeah, the front legs do look a little on the short side, because if you straighten the horse out it's like its butt will be up in the air almost. default smiley xd

This divine is one I'm actually excited for -- along with the other Seasons divines. The cost-to-gain ratio is great! The challenges are also fun. I go through waves of playing and hiatuses because I get bored with the same repetitive promos and the costs associated with breeding. However, I've found that all these little challenges give me more incentive to visit the game for at least a little it each day and interact with often neglected aspects of my game play!

Indeed looks like their close to breaking-point.

How come I didn't notice that before you mentioned it ^

Would have liked for the divine to hand out a gimme item on the side default smiley (lol) if nothing else just a blanket default smiley (lol)
But the idea is rather interesting. Even though it is seasonal. But I guess were they to be collectable on a daily basis, it would give the player a way too high advantage.

I find most promos a tad boring, but this new approach is looking good.

I hope they add more details as how the promo works though. There is a very high possibility that some may find it confusing.

Wow, that is one scary divine!
The Kelpie was suggested and made it to voting twice. The Divines that will be in the new promo were also in the idea's forum, so it is not beyond the realm of possibility that they would add a Kelpie.

But according to what others said, is that this will not be coming to howrse because of the graphic.
