I'm sorry, I understand the huge effort that must have to been put into these coats, but some are an obvious degrade from their current coats. I mean the Friesians and Gypsy Vanners use to be so lovely, and, I hate saying this, but are now bulky, fat and lacking the realism the previous coats had. And TBs! I specifically decided to breed them because I thought they looked great! Now they look nothing like TBs in real life at all; the other coat is a far closer match! Please please please, is there anyway we can have a community vote, or at least consider these suggestions, I know a lot of other people are rather unhappy with some of these coats.

However, on a happier note, I absolutely adore a number of the others, especially the Akhal-Teke! Beautiful! I certainly wouldn't mind if every coat were given the same attention to detail!

Also, to follow up my previous comment, and I understand I guess I don't really have much of a say in this because, well there's me, and then there's you guys: amazingly talented, skilled, professional graphic designers. But, anyway, I really enjoyed the style of the old coats, that luxurious shine and streak of colors and a sort of regal glossiness that made them so pretty and clean. Now these new coats - all of them in my opinion - look too smudged and fuzzy and shaded all wrong, almost round and far too geometric looking. They just don't have the same quality as the older ones - most at least. Maybe you guys might consider going back and adding a bit of shine and sharpness to them? I think that'd look wonderful, if such were possible.

That breed got their new graphics today. Another one will arrive tomorrow, and another each day until all the breeds have their new coat.

The update is less than two minutes from now on the Russian server, so I might know very soon. Of course, it might not be the same on all servers.

The true is they don´t care about our opinion, they just want our money. But if we join they have to listen.
I suggest we join and make a petition, but if someone had a better ideia.... because until now they never care about our opinion

Ow said earlier today that they made the changes to appease players. They're never going to satisfy everybody no matter how hard they try, they're still always going to be the "evil ones."

A petition? That will do no good. The truth is that we were given an opportunity to express our opinions about whether or not to change the base graphics, last year. It was put to a formal vote and people were encouraged to write their opinions about the proposal in the comments section. The support to change the base graphics and put visible tack on our horses was overwhelming. Furthermore, the support was overwhelming on every server! We are now seeing these changes because Howrse has already listened to us regarding them and is giving us what the majority wants.

As far as I can tell, no new base graphics were introduced on the Russian server right after its update. I got a second horse for the parade, but it appeared to be the same breed as the first. So, we're just going to have to wait a little longer.

Oh well, maybe they wont add it until the time that they started the parade this morning.

No, there are no schedules. Not even the mods now. The only people who know are the admins, and they're keeping it a secret.

The only way for us to know is to monitor servers that are updated ahead of this one. Even then, we'll only know what's coming next by a few hours, at most.

One way or another, we're just going to have to sweat it out.

Enjoy the current graphics while you can. Take screen shots while you can. Each is likely change with little to no notice.

I've already uploaded/saved the entire collection of v3 coats. Every possible color combo, foal, uni, winged, winged uni. Everything.

Howrse just ask about some coats they never ask about the others. They can´t make everybody happy but they can make the majority.
And the majority doens´t want the new GV, the comments show this clearly

Honestly? I don't think four players complaining about the graphics is a majority. People don't usually say much when they're happy, but they're not afraid to complain. This is not a majority. Personally, I like most of the new graphics and I'm ready for a change. The Irish Hunters actually look like Irish Hunters and there are coat colors that just look more realistic with this update.

Did anyone think about the REASON for this?

I'm sorry to say, but that's how these things work. Are you aware of how much time it takes to update the coats? Months of work! It would be impractical to create all of the potential new coats first, have us vote on each one, and then scrap the ones that weren't selected. It would also be an enormous waste of their time and resources. Howrse has already approached the issue in the best way. They created a few samples, held the first Horse Parade promo to introduce the concept, held a vote, collected feedback, reviewed their options based on what was said, and then proceeded. They maintained more transparency throughout the process than most other browser games provide. They posted an update on the warmbloods in the blog months ago. They gave us this spoiler topic so that new images could be leaked. They collected feedback from the testers who saw the coats before us and some of those testers were kind enough to leak them into this topic. According to a few comments left by those testers, the admins were concerned about the negative feedback on some of the coats. By the time those new coats are introduced to the game, they may differ from the ones that were shown here. Or they might not. We're just going to have to wait and see.

If you want to start a petition, go ahead, but please keep a very important point in mind. Howrse is a game. It is not a government. Remember that you can always find a different game to play if you don't like this one. Or just go watch a movie. Or read a book. Go outside and play a sport. You are free to choose from many other activities and hobbies if this one upsets you.

In 2 pages there at least 6 different players complain. I agree with you The Irish Hunter look much better know. Some coats are best but others aren´t. People say when they are happy there are many good messages about some coats but I don´t find any about the GV

So it´s very simple don´t introduce some of the coats let us choose wich one we want to keep or change

Do we know if every breed will have a different line art? (different look, not the same pictures as another breed)

From the previews - it seems some breeds are still sharing the same line arts (It seems to be those who are sharing line arts now will continue to do so) - only time will tell though if we will get variations, but this does not seem to be the case at present time

If you want to start a petition, go ahead. That might be a fun game to play for a while. Just don't make the mistake of believing that it might actually make a difference. As always, if you feel so strongly about this issue, then it might be best to just go do something else. This is only a game! Games that upset you are not worth playing, so why play them?

ShorahNagi, I suspect that some of the breeds that currently share coats will change at some point in the future. A Tennessee Walker was leaked a few pages back. Another player found it by playing around with the official howrse.com urls. So who knows?
