Can you get some kind of decoration by bringing trees (I saw something like that in the pictures) If so, Could we just bring back trees, don't decorate them and collect decorations this way?

So are foals faster bringing back the trees than old horses? Also, do I necessarily need to use passes (or money) on Christmas promo?

When you bring back a tree - there is a Very Small chance that your horses will find a decoration or two for it along the way...however these will automatically be put on the tree, and not sent to your inventory.

The only ways to get Decorations and not have them used right away are to:

Get them from logging in daily
From the Advent Calendar
Winning Competitions (limit 2 per day)
Going on Rides with your horses (limit 2 per day)
Buying them with Passes

If you look at some of the other numbers I posted - Foals are right on par with some older, high skilled horses.

Again - more calculations are going to be needed.

Equus is not used in this promo except to open a past door in the Advent Calendar (10,000e regardless of how much money you have)

As for using Passes on this promo - that's really going to depend on what you want to get out of this promo.

For example - if you only want to get a Divine out of this...

Depending on which Divine you want vs. what decorations you get vs. how long is left in the promotion come the 25th *when the Divine forest opens for everyone* - you could in theory get the Divine without needing to use any passes at all OR by using as little as 5 passes.

Start saving up Horns of Plenty again!




I'm opening a few more now to see if this assortment/amount is a constant - but at least we know there's another way to get more decorations coming!

Can you bring back a tree for example a Titans challenge and then wait to decorate it. How long can you wait to decorate it will it still be able to decorate it on the 25 th?

I opened up 5 HOPs - and got the same assortment of gifts each time. So it seems that opening a HOP gives you 10 decorations broken down in the following matter:

3 units of Tinsel *random colors*

1 Plain Bauble *random color*
1 Spiral Bauble *random color*
1 Tree Bauble *random color*
1 Striped Bauble *random color*

3 Ornaments of varying Rarity - to name a few combinations I got:

One hop gave me 2 'common' decorations and 1 'super rare'
another gave me a common, uncommon, and rare
another gave me common, uncommon, super rare

Remember when it comes to decorating your trees;

Tinsel - You do not need to use all the same color - so use what you have *there's no extra benefit to having it all match*

Baubles - Like with Tinsel, the color does not matter - however, the pattern on the Bauble does (so if your tree needs a Plain Bauble, you can't use a Striped one instead)

Ornaments - Unfortunately, these are very specific and can not be just any random old ornaments (So you can't put a Star in place of a Snowflake)

There's no time limit on decorating a tree once it is brought back (just be sure to decorate it before the promo ends)

So I see no reason why you could not bring back a tree or two, then wait to decorate them.

I'm going to test the theory of just saving up trees until the last day of the promo, then using the five passes to get the Divine tree and use whatever is left over from there.

The decorations you find along the way are put directly on the Tree you are bringing back - they do not go into your inventory.

So while this might make it easier to complete the tree you just brought back, it will not help you to complete other trees.

the Christmas packs are coming? The ones bought with real money? I'm planning on buying one of those and using the passes I get from it on the promotion, but I was just wondering if there would be enough time for that? Or would it be better to get an extra say 20-40 passes beforehand?

If memory serves - Last year's packs went on sale around the 24th/25th *December 24th is the date of birth on my Tarpan and he was from a Pack* - I believe they also did a re-sell around the 30th/31st.

Could be wrong though - but those are generally the dates they happen (So folks - if your relatives ask you what you want for the Holidays - tell them you want *insert pack of choice here* - and that they can buy it for you when they come/you go) to visit! )

*Trust me, that does work on some relatives (that's how I got my Mist a few years back )

So.... younger horses w/ less skills... so like a 2 month old with 0 skills.... Ok, but does gp matter?
