that is a good idea - perhaps even make it possible to aquire a little sooner. It's going to require a lot of work not to mention passes to make it that far.

I joked with a friend earlier.
Assuming the shortest rute is 700 squares (moves).
100% energy = 5 moves
Energy recharge (if you have a high enough skilled horse) = 5% per 4 hours = 1 move

If you can get online that much you can move 7 squares per day.
That means it will only take you 100 days to complete....that being IF the route is only 700 squares...and it seems like it's longer

@Horseig in a sense I guess it is, but then at least you know thre is actually one there default smiley :(

@ Harvestcoocoo

I just went throught the pinatas, by my estimate if you didn't already have the BM items needed to complete the objectives, it would be about six passes not ten.
And some of the prizes from the pinatas can be used for the future objectives.
I got a Helio's Ray from a pinata, and one of the objectives for an upcoming one is to use a Helio's Ray of a specific color.
Another objective is to give birth to twins, and I believe that one of the prizes is a fertility wand(I'm not sure I have to check again)
But altogether I don't think you'll need 10 passes.

I know this is supposed to be in the pinata topic, but I thought it was kind of important.

When we open HOPs, is it gauranteed that we get pinanta points?
Question about the M Promo:

Click to display
Has anybody figured out if it's possible to complete with no passes? And when will it start? I'm working on a pass horse farm and I want to know if I should boot the into using AP. Also, I have a skiller under the Other > Other tab, he has 5,000 skills. Will he get me through the maze? I must have Blue.

By my calculations;

Click to display
It is not. Using the map known as the "Shortest Route" (this is shortest route space-wise) - this is what I concluded:

By my count (which may be a little off) - from start to finish, it takes 230 moves to reach Lovely Blue using the 'shortest route'.

You can make a maximum of 5 moves per day (if you have the max. recovery rate of 5% per hour - it takes 20 hours to get to 100% - which gives you 5 moves as each move take 20% energy)

As such - without using any treats, passes, and knowing the exact route to take - it would take 46 days to complete the event.

Now - following the shortest route, I found 11 Treats are on the path.

it's been my experience in testing that each Treat gives 3 additional moves. This is 33 free moves - so in a way, you only need to 'pay energy for' 200 moves. Though 200 moves still takes 40 days.

On Preprod - this promotion is running for 16 days for a total of 80 moves with energy alone. Add in the treats (assumed to be +3 each) you find following the shortest route (which is 4) - and that's a total of 102 moves.

Which is a little less than half the required moves to reach the Divine. If anyone has a 'faster' or 'shorter' route they want to supply ~ please feel free to add onto my numbers and/or crunch your own.

Yes, but only when Howrse puts the points in (there will be an announcement in the News most likely and on the Pinata's page)

So when Howrse puts the points in - opening a HOP will give you points. Just keep in mind how many points you can win per use of HOP is directly proportional to how many points it takes to break open a Pinata (so for example; if a Pinata takes 60 points to break - you won't find 40 points - you might find 6 at most in a single use)

Also, Points won from HOPs do not carry over (so if you only need a few points, I reccomend waiting for a regular click as opposed to using a HOP (example: if you are at 56/60 and earn 2 points per click and can click twice per time...wait for your normal click instead of using a HOP (because if you win 6 points, the other 2 points will be lost))

And wow, in reading over my calculations I posted in answer to tictocgirl's question...I made a few errors;

Click to display
these errors are mostly in move calculations:

It takes 230 move roughly to reach Lovely Blue using the 'shortest route'

You can move 5 times per day with the max. recovery rate of 5% every hour

That's 46 days to complete the promo by using energy alone.

Now, following the 'shortest route' ~ you find 11 treats. Each treat gives 3 free moves - so this is 33 free moves. With these, it only takes about 40 days to complete the Maze.

Now - the promotion is running for 16 days on Preprod;

16 x 5 = 80 moves
Add in the 33 moves from Treats - and this is a final move total of 113 (just under half of what is needed to complete the maze)

With the new horse breeds that will be added to the game during the next promo will the divine horse Hipparion give us one of the two breeds when he reaches the 200 skill thing if we have all the other breed/coat colors?

I believe this is the case as;

Click to display
On preprod - shortly after it started, a few players ended up with a Percheron from their Hipparion's perk (as it was a breed that they did not have yet)

I don't know however if they already had all the other Breeds and Coat colors ~ so it's possible that you could get one via this method, or you could get a regular horse.

Though for some odd reason - I feel that the perk probably chooses the breed first, then the color - so I'd say the chance is higher of getting a Percheron from it if that's the only breed you are missing, but are missing colors here and there from others.

Calculations for M

Click to display
For the calculations of the maze I have seen quite a few people try some out and thought I might help out with some as these are a little bit more complicated. First for the total amount of moves you can make during the promo... If it is 16 days long as suspected to be you would have 100 moves made from your own energy if keep with a 5% energy regen horse

Day 1 starts at 0600. +5 moves that you start with
Day 1 1000 - Day 2 1000 +6 moves ( 1 moves every 4 hours, 24/4=6)
Continue same till last day this amounts to 15 times (so 6*15=90)
Day 15- Day16 +5 moves ( can't have a total 24 hours so only get 5 moves here)
Total of 100 moves

For the red path believed to be "shortest" I went through and counted all squares, once you hit a treat square you moves forward 3 and then the next move is when you increment your next count. So say I hit a treat on 24 squares in move up 3 squares on the path and the next square you move to is square 25. For the red path counting this way there are 202 squares. If you minus the 100 moves you can make on your own that leaves 102 moves you need to make up with in passes/TC

For the whited dotted path counting the exact same way you end up with 172 squares minus the 100 you get on your own gives 72 squares left to make up with passes/TC

Now if you use the calculations, so sorry I can't remember the exact name of the person who gave the number, but when opening TC you get around a value of 2.83 moves per passes So for red path that would be around 38 pass
For white dotted path round 26 passes

If you go by the rounded number of 7 moves per TC and say get to lvl 3 80% of the time it's a little less, but that is all luck base and slightly random.

Now if you take side paths and other things you are looking at a bunch more. These are just straight number crunching and counting, if anyone would like to double check or correct me on my math would love to know so I can fix things as I plan things out.

Other than a brief mention in Equideow's Spoiler Zone - nothing else has been heard of with Wandering Horses for quite some time - so at present time, I would say that is false. Also, The next promotion is;
Click to display
the Maze. Which will give us Lovely Blue who breeds with Shiny Yellow to produce Forest Green (he is a Breed only Divine).

*claps* not to shabby

For anyone whose wondering what some things mean in this, here's the images:

Click to display

The 'Red Line' Path has been called the shortest path based on the number of squares you traverse to reach the end.
The 'White Dot' Path is a bit longer in terms of squares traversed - but has the added benefit of more treats (which give extra moves)

Also, if anyone wants to see an untouched map to plot their own course, here you go:

*Please note ~ while the Spyglass (eye icon) and Treats (red candy icon) will be in the same spots...It was stated on Preprod that the Gift spots (Green presents) may be moved around a bit (also, the gift you find at a spot might be different than what someone else finds - so just because I found a Fertility wand at S2 does not mean you will)

Draft/Draught Horse Information *Draft and Draught are the same kind of Horse - what word you use usually depends on where you live*

Click to display
Draught Horses:
A new type of horse is making their long awaited entrance on Howrse; the draught breeds.

The first horse from this new “species” is the Percheron!

Draught horses can:
- Receive the same items than Donkeys. *Though images of Draft Pegasus do exist - they can not be given Medusa's Blood at present time...this might change in the future*

The special coats of the following items will use the same image as horses and ponies:
- 5th Element
- Bewitched Pumpkin
- Seal of the Apocalypse

Draught horses can be equipped and take part in the same competitions as riding horses and ponies. The equipment is visible on the horse’s illustration. *see image*

Like donkeys the draught horses:
- Can only be bred with another draught horse
- Cannot breed more than three times during his life
- When a draught horse is put up for sale any issued but unused coverings are cancelled

Weight and feed
The need for fodder is larger with a draught horse than with other species
The requirement for oats works the same way as for horses or ponies.

Missions:
When a draught horse takes part in a mission:
He earns twice as many skills as a regular horse
His owner earns twice as many equus

The Equestrian Centre earns twice as many resources

The mission button on their page is slightly modified to show it’s doubled compared to other horses.

You can search draught horses in breeding farms, sales and in public coverings.
When you are looking for a covering for your draught mare the setting is automatically set to search for a draught horse of the same breed in exactly the same way as donkeys.

In the other direction, when looking for a covering for a classical riding breed you cannot select the setting to search for a draught horse.

Rankings:
The draught horses are ranked as any other type of specie.
Their ranking goes between the ones for ponies and donkeys.

Creative Space:
We add the opportunity of proposing creations for draught horses in the Creative Space.
On the Black pearl page the sentence “Draught horses aren’t accepted” is removed.
Trophies

The Percheron is added to the breed and coats for all breed trophies as well as creating a trophy in Talented Breeder => breeds.

The species is also added to the species trophy, species Golden Apple and retired Golden Apple trophies.

Species riding horse

To avoid unnecessary confusion the species “horse” is renamed “riding horse”. *and Drafts will be called 'Draft Horse'

This terminology is used on the horse’s page under species, in the horse’s breed description, in the search drop down menus, in the sales, when looking for coverings, in your breeding farms, trophies, species, in the rankings …

Help section
An entry is added for draught horses in the section 4.1 – breeding.
In the EC help under missions in section 2.3 an entry is also added

Best Regards
The Howrse Team
