As a little girl I sad on my uncle's black stallion, Surprise. My cousin also used to lead me around on a saddlehorse x friesian gelding, Samurai. But my first horse I rode at the riding school was a palomino mare, Bonita |

Bonnie, a "mutt" horse that was probably 30+ years old and had been a trail horse to so many little kids before me at the bible camp I attended for two weeks. She was absolutely bombproof and never went faster than a lumber.
Several years later, I got lessons on another horse that had so many "ideas" that always led to frustration and I swear him snickering at me. He was named Cody. Now, about three months ago, I got my first horse, Scout. He's absolutely perfect for me. Just enough energy to make me think but incredible ground manors and he's such a love. He'd do anything for me.

The first horse I ever rode properly, not just pony rides was a 14hh something skewbald mare called Paige. She was very sweet, but also very stubborn! She's gone into retirement now though, and secretly I'm quite glad I don't have to ride her anymore. As lovely as she was, she did have a tendency to bolt unexpectedly!
|
The first horse I ever rode was a buckskin Quarter Horse mare named Star. I was 3 days old.
|
I cant recall. Probably Toby, a 14 hh Connemara. He was lovely.
|
I can't remember the first horse since it was at a riding stable in New Mexico, I believe. Air Force Brat*!*
My fave horse I have owned?? Rufus, Daddy used to call him Rufus the Goofus, but he was a gorgeous Appaloosa, 18 hands high, w/mane and tail hanging almost to the ground. He was used as the "Indian Chief's" horse in old Westerns films filmed out at Old Tucson, Tucson, AZ*!* He was so beautiful and gentle. At 12 years old, I used to be able to vault up bareback, however, I managed THAT is beyond me now, tee hee* No horses currently, but 3 kitties that keep us busy, and a large garden, both inside and out*!* Love this game!

I have seen a picture of me riding a horse at about 4 but the first horse I rode that I can actually remember was called Ivan he was an adorable 12.2 hh bay pony.
