I owned a 13.2hh Chincoteague pony who lived to be 28. I grew up with him and was 17 when he passed. I also owned a grade quarter horse who was 14.1hh. He passed away unexpectedly so I wasn't with him for very long. When I was ten, I helped my mom handle a 6mo old Chincoteague foal. We raised him until he was 2.5y and then sold him to a great home.

I have a 4 year old APHA mare named Scenic Country Jewel, but I call her CJ. I just got her papers yesterday and discovered she is a great grandbaby of APHA Colonel Coosader.

I'll be starting her training this spring as soon as the weather allows.
