some sort of mutt.... looks like he has a bit of QH but it's hard to tell. Vets can do blood tests to give you their exact breeding and it isn't that expensive

you have a picture of him jumping and he is considered a "dangerous jumper" do to his poor form and hanging knees

We debated on the breed my horse is for a long time, I've seen pics of his dam and its obvious she's a tb (which is what we were told) and we are pretty sure his sire is either an arabian or a quarab

@jumpers
The reason he looks like that is because he bucked right as he landed

bucking has nothing to do with poor form. I've ridden multiple horses that bucked after and before fences and their forms were wayyy better

I don't have a horse but the horse that I ride is an Arabian

Clydesdale arabian.. Weird cross i know, looks like an average sized horse with big feet, broad nose and slightly longer fetlocks. Who would breed those two horses?? He also had a brandmark. Greatest horse anyone could ever know !

@ Jumpers. relax, everyone can't be as good as you. You don't know they're story maybe that pony is just starting out jumping or maybe he's not a professional show horse. there are plenty of wonderful horses to learn to jump on, but not necessarily the ones you would take to the important shows and competitions.

it's the pony's form, I highly doubt it would change the much even with professional training lol

Thank you!!! so its not just me who thinks they're being tight!! That lovely horse may not go on to win at the Olympics but if it enjoys jumping, no matter what height then i would consider it to be a good jumper- it doesn't matter about it's style over jumps but whether that horse enjoys it and in the owner's view is good. There's no need to be judgmental and nasty to people if they may not be as 'good' as you! And we don't really know exactly how good you are now do we...... default smiley (8)

Lol I wouldn't want to be jumping that horse over anything bigger than what it's already doing or solid fences. Top trainers would frown at its form as well. It's not because it isn't pretty, it's because it is extremely dangerous. Horses that jump like that can easily get hung up on fences.
