Overall I really enjoy these events.

Got decent prizes without much effort, the cards were pretty, and got the divine without spending passes! A win in my book compared to other events

My only complaint is blocking trades once you have all the cards in one category. It makes no sense! I ended up activating all my spare art cards for nothing, instead of getting something useful in the objects and BMIs. And I think this issue has been brought up many times before.

The prize values in this one declined compared to previous editions. A Lyre is not worth the Silver rarity designation, for example.

The question "How easy was it to progress" is totally dependent on your luck when it comes to the Cards. Some players managed to get the Love Divine without spending passes because we were swimming in Gold and Diamond cards. This was me. I truly can't think of another Cards event in which I got so many Diamond cards from dailies. Others couldn't get the Gold or Diamonds they needed without buying packs, and some reported buying a dozen packs and still didn't get a diamond.

A couple of editions ago, the weekend promo offer guaranteed a diamond after X packs bought without a diamond. I really think that offer should either be reinstated, or just somehow guarantee that everyone can finish all of the puzzle sets, provided they got the maximum daily cards everyday.

If it's possible for a good portion of players to finish all the sets with daily cards, then it should be possible for everyone, otherwise it just becomes really disheartening. It's different when it's a strategy based event like Pinatas or Mazes, because it's up to the players to pick the best method, but with the Cards it's totally reliant on luck, which you can't control.

This has been asked many times in the past, but it would also be really nice if we could trade cards of one rarity to get another. For example to get a diamond, we could trade 10 silver, or 20 bronzes (random numbers thrown out as an example).

The card collection event is one I am not particularly experienced with -- I believe I have participated in only two or three. Nonetheless, I enjoy it quite a lot. While it is heavily reliant on RNG, the Joker cards, as well as the option to Trade cards for Equus, each with its own price tag, made it a lot easier to progress. It felt like there were many safety nets for this event that did NOT require passes, and I am very pleased to say that time was also one of those safety nets.

I had never participated in Flash Sales for any other event before this one, and I lucked out on a silver card that I was missing. I am glad this option was there as well.

Not only did I complete the event 5 days before its end, I did so without spending ANY passes at all, and a total of about 80,000 Equus. I was pleasantly surprised when I earned the Divine horse after completing the last set, as I didn't know that would be the grand reward!

Now, for the only issue I had with the event - that was the "Victory in a Competition" daily activity. My horses are generally bad, I breed them for the coats and nothing more, so it was a real struggle to luck out and win competitions. I ended up giving up on many days after signing up with multiple horses to dozens of competitions. I think "Participate in 5 competitions" or something similar would be more suitable.

To conclude this mini essay, I'd like to say that I enjoyed this event a lot and I look forward to the next one. Despite the victory activity that caused me some frustration, I confidently give this event 10/10.

The card event is among my favorites, and I really cleaned up on prizes this time. The art for the cards was especially clever.

I was 2 cards away from getting the Divine and I couldnt get the last gold or diamond card :/ I got bunches of bronze or item cards. Very hard to get those last 2 without wasting money on passes to try and get the last ones. Over all it was alright but disappointed because I was so close to finally winning a Divine horse

I have been on both the lucky and unlucky side of the cards event many times, and I don't actually mind that that's how it works. I don't think every event should be a guaranteed finish. Some yes, but not all. The card packs were a reasonable deal on the weekends, if everyone saved just their objective passes from the days the event ran they could afford to buy at least a few. The flash sales are what they are, use them or don't. I did find the prizes a bit lacking in general compared to other versions, but they weren't awful. My only real complaint would be not being able to trade anymore once you have them all - I ended up with multiple copies of some bronze and silver cards I would have happily paid to trade for something useful, but if that's my biggest complaint, not too shabby!

I was able to get both Ti amo and Art Nouveau without spending any passes! Granted, I did spend a lot of equus in the flash sales to be able to get Art Nouveau, but still, I'm very happy with the outcome I got lucky with my cards and only bought bronze and silver cards from the flash sales.

How is it possible that I had to spend 1000p to even glimpse at a Diamond card and someone had a full 8 in the first 7 days?

That's the problem with this event, the table of % must seriously be looked at.

Is 1000p a price I was prepared to spend? Somewhat, but that is not the point.

The cards are one of my favorite promotions. It was a slow start getting diamonds but eventually I started getting them. This time around I managed to complete that promotion without help from the flash sales and I didn't buy any card packs. The prizes were okay and I got 2 Nyx Packs.

Reasonably successful event for me. Got Ti Amo with 5 days to spare and managed to snap up Art Nouveau in the auctions without getting drawn in to a bidding war. No passes spent and just a couple of bronze or silver cards purchased.

I actually quite enjoyed this one. Despite missing a day of the event I was still able to get Ti Amo and all the best gifts (one of them twice) just by participating without having to spend a single pass, and I'm pretty happy with what I received.

I was two diamond cards away from completing the event, one diamond card away from getting Ti Amo. Despite logging in and completing the daily objectives every day, I was unable to finish the event. I really don’t think that’s fair considering some people were able to finish for free days or even a week early. I even bought one card pack hoping to get one diamond card, but no luck.

I think this event needs to be modified to make sure everyone actually gets enough cards to be able to finish for free if they participate every day. Maybe assign certain ‘hands’ of cards you can get, which hand you get each day is random, but at the end of the event everyone will have collected each hand (assuming full participation) and everyone has an equal chance to get all required cards (enough diamonds and golds to finish all the puzzles). It would be similar to the advent calendar where everyone gets the same gifts in the end, but the days you get the gifts is different.

I’m really disappointed I wasn’t able to get Ti Amo, who should have been free, even after spending some passes. I got some other nice prizes, but I don’t think they fantastic, nothing that is super valuable to my game play style.

I did like the art theme for this round and the graphics on the cards were nice. But in the end this event just leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

I am very happy with the gifts I got. But wish I could have gotten Ti Amo. Still the only gripe I have is it took me until last night so I can get one puzzle. Please make them a little longer so everyone can get a chance to win.

I managed to complete all sets without the use of passes, so I'm really happy!
I also managed to get two NYx diamond cards also, which is fantastic.

Any promo you don't have to spend passes for is a good one as all the items are free.
I enjoyed this promo, I can't compare it to other past events as I wasn't around!

I feel like I had fair luck, bought a few packs of cards with passes. And bought a couple cards in flash sales, which I wasn't a huge fan of. I don't like the auctions for horses, and with the time going back to 30 seconds led to crazy bidding wars. I spent way more than I thought was worth it for basic cards. I also wish that I was able to trade for cards I already had. I mean, it's kind of helpful if I only needed one specific silver card, I could trade and it'd guarantee I got that one? But at the end I ended up with like 5 of the same cards which was kind of useless. I was able to get a couple nyx packs and arms though which helped a lot! I was one diamond away from getting the 220 fragments again, and forgot to log on this morning before it ended to try and get it. Getting Ti Amo really helped because I was seriously debating on buying one of the love horses in reserve sales but they'd take over 5 years to repay themselves

I always really enjoy the card event. It’s simple easy and fun but I definitely don’t like the luck disparity with everyone. I ended up getting Ti Amo after buying 7 card packs (for a single diamond card). There definitely needs to be a minimum card amount for each specific type of card so that everyone will be able to complete the event if they are logging on daily and being active with the event. Also in those 7 packs to get the diamond I did not get many golds and a lot of them were cards for the event so I didn’t get too many BMIs. I feel like we should still be able to trade the cards after we have finished the collection!

This was the worst iteration of cards yet.

We’ve been missing the diamond divine card for several iterations now, but it was even more sorely missed this time around when it seemed as if diamond cards themselves were almost impossible to acquire.

I purchased almost 2k passes worth of cards when it was x6, and I only received 1 diamond card tfrom all of those. This is the first time in my entire time on Howrse that I did not finish the cards and get the divine.

I’m thoroughly disappointed, both in the amount of passes I allowed myself to spend, and how stupid hard this time felt.

I always love the card events. Although there is a massive luck factor that doesn't always play nice, it's a super easy event with tons of free prizes. This time, I lucked out and got Ti amo and 4 Nyx Packs - probably the best I've ever done with cards, as I have never gotten the divine before. It will continue to be one of my favorite events.

I literally needed only one more diamond card to finish. Something to think about but it would be nice if we could trade say 10 bronze cards for 1 Silver or 10 Silver for 1 Gold and 10 gold for one diamond. We end up with enough extras and after awhile we can't do anything with them. Just a thought

I enjoyed this event, and it was easier to progress in than other events where it feels like they're designed so that you HAVE to pay money to progress in them. This one I was able to win every card and every prize without having to use any passes, which is great. This is definitely one of my favorite events.

I'm a little disappointed it wasn't even a few days longer. I don't think it's very effective or easy for people who don't want to spend money on the event through passes.

I liked this event, I actually completed it whereas before I don't think I have ever been able to!
I liked the prizes and the artwork. I would however still love to be able to trade the duplicates (once completed) as even the bronze prizes would be nice to still get, or finish card collection x2 for example.

I was able to get Ti Amo by Valentine's Day and I got all the prizes too. It seemed easier than normal. I guess I had good luck. I didn't have to spend any passes either.

I got a second unicorn spirit with my bronze and silver jokers, so that was good.

I, also, would like to be able to trade cards after I have them all.

I like this event as it is simple and was easy to finish without buying passes. I won several nice items plus Ti Amo. The game isn’t time consuming which is helpful too
