It really is. If that in itself was a companion I'd be quite happy.

I decided to go for a second. Didn't hit the jackpot, but I got myself within range to get a second one quite easily, and I also got some very nice items along the way. Can never have enough p pack divines. default smiley (y)

How do I get more sharks to merge? I’m so confused by this event and don’t understand how I can progress

You need to wait, they will refill every 8, 5, and 3 hours, for 1, 2, and 3 respectively. Each refill gives you one for that level.

Well, there are some good prizes and since there is no big divine for the final prize there is no pressure, but man, those sharks are, kind of creepy? default smiley (lol)

I'll be interested to see more horses in this series and how they differ from like the chimera series and such. But I definitely won't be going for the big prize in this event, I didn't like the sharks much in testing, and they're still creepy now. The other prizes are fine though.

Can anyone answer if the sharks that you merge have to be right next to each other? I'm paranoid that I might mess up my positioning if that's the case, so I'm hoping you can merge from anywhere across the board but haven't tried it out yet.

The position does no matter. You can merge elements from opposite corners, or wherever

Thank you Strawbz.
Seems I am needing 3x nr. 8, 2x nr. 1 and 1x nr. 6 for 2x a Victory Pack and a Red dragon.

Now that I see the images better that nr. 8 shark would make a nice pet as well. default smiley (lol)

@jujju Are the gauges already full? Make sure there’s an empty slot for the new shark to appear in

No, they are all completely empty and the 3 sharks are just grey. I can move the ones I already put in but that’s it, nothing else I can click or see there

Did you compete the tutorial? I can't remember at which point it ends, but make sure you did the part where it asks you to merge the elements to create fragments l, then click t choose what to do with them. After that, you have to drag another element to the board.

If you're still stuck, try posting a screenshot, as that may help us see something

If by "@ someone" you mean quote/respond to someone, you can hover over their response and a frowny face and a quotation button (this is the one you want) should appear if you are on the classic/desktop version.
I'm not sure you can do this on the mobile app, but you can go to the classic version on your phone and then just zoom in if things are too small.

Unrelated to the above, but I'm happy they changed the name of the companion family.

I wish the sharks weren't so grotesque, apart from the top prize one. Sharks get a bad enough press as it is and the real creatures are quite beautiful and adapted to their environment. I'll be taking part to get some useful items but we seem to move further and further from horses with each new thing. I must admit , while I like being able to choose which prizes to go for, I always find the merging event rather a slog.

I actually really like the graphics on the sharks, not often you see good artistic drawings from Howrse. Mostly they are cartoonish.

For anyone that's stuck, here's all the steps of the tutorial:
-drag and drop shark 1 onto the board
-put another shark 1 up there
-combine them (also drag and drop) to make shark 2
-put the last shark 1 on the board
-combine shark 1 and shark 2 (this is where you're likely to get stuck because, at least on mobile, there's no animation to prompt you to do it)
-this will make the fragments prize option appear. You can click the check mark to keep the prize or the x to keep the sharks
-you should now have full bars for sharks 2 and 3, and timers for the bars to refill

I have never much cared for the merge events as it takes so long to get anywhere. The only bit I like is the fact you can choose which prizes to go for.

Also, since I’m going absolutely mad, am I the only one who has baby shark doo-doo-doo-doo baby shark going through their head every time I see hungry sharkdefault smiley (li)

I like the look of the Ghost, Fire and the Dunkleosteus sharks (never mind that Dunkleosteus was an armored fish and NOT a shark, but... default smiley (8) ) but the rest I could take or leave. I wouldn't say I *hate* the designs and they are very dynamic and have a fun theme, miles better than the Cu-Siths in my opinion.

Prize layout is pretty good too; I think I'll try to get one shark companion and then some Hera and Harmony packs. default smiley :) Possibly a Greek journal too as I still need to finish that collection.

I'm assuming you own Hungry Shark Evolution, or they partnered with you to use their artwork. If anyone is interested in trying that game out, it's rather fun but it does lag quite often for me because they keep adding more and more to the game.

In regard to this game though, aka Howrse, I'm not really interested in the new companion, but I'll gladly go for some of the higher end BMI default smiley :)
