This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

I managed to get 2 100 copy RCS and a 200 copy one.

And I had to track down and buy that tiger unicorn coat. I have a slight tiger obsession. 'Slight'.

I tried having the VIP perk but I always missed the VIP release due to timezone anyway so it was pointless. Regular release is 8pm for me so not that bad.

Between both release I managed to get all but the Viserys coat, which I had pulled up first and it was gone within a second of refreshing at release time. Had to grab one from sales default smiley :s

I don't know. Actually, now that I come to think of it, I have seen many hexapod dragons, because in fact, their wings should count for limbs as well, which means that all winged dragons with four legs out there (legs in the meaning of limbs used for walking) are actually... hexapods..?

default smiley :o I am confused now. But anyway, this creature looks like having gills on its sides, so could it be a water dragon-like creature? It's tails looks like an eel tail with some hair (?) on its top end, so it is definitely an interesting being...

I thought it looked like an Eastern style dragon, because of the long snout and small legs. I'd also say the gills and mermaid, fin-like tail point to a water dragon/creature. Not sure how the extra right haunch fits in. Maybe it's actually meant to be part of its tail?
It's really pretty though.

I googled the coat name, and all that came up was a fish bardefault smiley (lol)

Probably a trick to push the coat value up in sales. In time whoever killed their copies will bring them back with Pandoras and sell one by one. The oldest greedy trick in Howrse's universe.

There has been a player who's been sending tons of RCs to the Safe Haven, it started within the past few months or so. A friend mentioned seeing a lot more coats in the Haven, but I didn't really think much of it until a few coats I sold immediately ended up in the Haven. It's very bizarre. That might not be what's happening with this coat, I just wouldn't be surprised either.

Speaking of strange things happening to retired coats, I once sold a retired coat for lots of passes, and when I clicked to see who bought it, the person had put a regular golden apple coat over it! It wasn't a horse bred by that person either unless they had gotten a new account. I was just baffled, but decided not to say anything.

Mine isn't going anywhere, one of my favorite coats in quite a while. default smiley (l) It's a shame 40+ copies were just killed/SH'ed to increase the value.

I wonder if there is another reason behind it. The symbology behind it. This uni represents the Knights Templar. For any of you who read the book Angels and Demons where they talk about the Illuminati. Perhaps this is an intentional slaughter, just like what happened on Friday the 13th. There's a lot more to it then just the movies and books...to this very day things being said, so yeah. Interesting.

It seems Howrse is doing another small purge of accounts. I noticed over the weekend that about half of my RCs lost some uses, and they've dropped again today. I've only checked a handful as of now, but almost all have dropped, including my rarest ones. Has anyone noticed any older accounts are now gone?

Mine too, and I noticed recently that some of my friends who hadn't logged in for over 1000 days have recently logged in again, so I wonder if they sent out emails warning of an upcoming purge?

Wow! 3 of my rarest coats coats went down around 5 or more uses and now qualify to be under 10 uses. They took out around 200,000 accounts so we are at around 138,000 accounts left on Howrse.
