This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

There haven't been any Valkyrie coats for a long time, I'm thinking I should add another to the series to get it rolling again. It's been a real stick in the mud getting coats in on INT, despite these huge releases.

Only missed 4 of the 100 use coats. Got all the rest. Super happy about it. Might be my best round ever! Just two horses, a donkeycorn and a and a ponycorn to get at 2nd release. Glad that the 200 use coats went slow because I forgot to add m.bloods and thought for awhile that they simply didn't release the black and white unipegs.

Ahh, no wonder I didn't get the donkeycorn...it was a winged donkeycorn. I thought I checked everything. Those peggys can really trip me up!

I know, I wasn't really complaining, I know Howrse is in France, but it would be nice to maybe rotate every few months to different timezones, ie one month accommodates Europe, next month North/South America, next month Australia, etc

Don't get me wrong I'm happy for the people making bank rn but I really wish I would have had to pay only 100 Passes vs 2000something to add that awesome tiger-sith unicorn to my collection lol

I respectfully disagree, this would just make it really confusing, especially if it changed monthly. I personally get really confused when the clocks change, so having something like a 5 hour change would probably make myself and others miss it. Coat release is already really stressful without having to keep notes on different times.

Very true, Howrse already has so many things going on at different time anyway. Just thinking out loud, its tough missing all the pretty coats because release is in the middle of the night default smiley xd

That is precisely why I have the early release perk. The regular release is at like 3 or 4 am for me so it’s nice to be able to get them at a time I can actually be on 3 or 4 pm is much more doable for me.

I'm lucky to live in Europe. I sacrifice a few hours sleep for prerelease but midnight is quite doable every month. Not that I'd have an issue with waking up in the middle of the night. I used to set alarms for 3am to get certain GAs from auctions default smiley :p

Even though I got the one I wanted, this release was EXTREMELY buggy. I had to refresh multiple times before they even showed.

Well that was a rush, but I finally got my first Hennessy! Super excited for that and the others I got that I wanted. Great release this time! I don't think I've had such a long must-have list since I started collecting.

Surprisingly one of my better releases. I got the Viserys thank goodness, as well as the Bandit, and a handful of others I was going for. I got everything I wanted EXCEPT the Hennessy. It was the second coat after the Viserys for me but it was gone in a flash.

Happy with how this month went!

The release was definitely super laggy this morning, I was actually worried it would lag so much I would miss out. But thankfully, I got the 4 100 use coats I missed at the VIP release, and then whatever I could snag up with 200 or 300 copies.

I love the Viserys sith collection, but i cannot wait until its over. I had that tiger cued up first both prerelease and regular release...both times took me two seconds to click, click and it would be mine...both times it was already gone. When it loaded as i clicked the limited box, it was only at 52/100 uses. Ridiculous. If it didn't get it, it would be the only one i was missing, and i know it is unlikely that i would find it in sales later. And if i did, it would be top price. So i bought it right away, and as a result, i cannot afford the other two 100 use coats i missed that i really want, even though they aren't too expensive right now. I am very broke. Sigh. Like i said, i cannot wait until the Viserys sith collection is complete, and i dont need to stress about being able to get or afford it when it goes impossibly fast. Most coats i would never pay that much for. Makes release so stressful. Ok i think i'm done...sorry for my little venting bout. The good news is, i had the Hennessy cued up second, and did manage to get that one the second time around.

The tiger coat didn’t even show up for me default smiley (lol) but that’s okay, I still got a handful of coats.
The unicorn ones are absolutely stunning default smiley (l) this is my favorite from this release

@reveluvlyz I agree. I put that one on the best uni I could find in sales. Love it too. Took me a moment to realize it was some sort of fox draped over the neck.

@Famousamos Which were the two 100 use coats that you missed?

I thought that at first from looking at the little yellow whiskery things, but the tail is more horsie and legs seem so fox like.I didn't even notice it was a hexapod till you pointed it out. Dragons are generally thought to have 4 legs. Some sort of curious hybrid? Looks like it's right out of a story book that I haven't read. Anyone know what that creature is considered?

I've been doing the VIP releases only the last few months, but was busy last night and only able to grab a few coats so got up an hour early this morning to grab more. WOW was the release glitchy/buggy. Nothing wrong with my computer it was the release itself. But I got everything I wanted except I missed the Hennessy which I'm bummed about. But my faves were the iridescent winged horse, black and white winged horse, and snake horse. So many awesome works for art!
